Cud you please tell me how to add this service because this is working fine in 4.6C but I dont know how to add these services in ECC 6.0. If any code for this which is written in 4.6C which I can refer... please tell me where to see the code for adding services (in 4.6C) b'coz its very urgent.

How to get "Services for Object".

We are on SAP R/3 4.6C with SAP GUI 6.40.
I don't know much about "Services for Object". In fact, I just noticed the feature.
Some of our user do not see the feature even though they are on SAP R/3 4.6C with SAP GUI 6.40. While others see the feature but not all the time (ex. see in VA22 but not in ME22N)
Is the "Services for Object" some thing individual need to set in the user profile? Or in the SAP GUI or durring SAP GUI installation or is at via roles.

You can do it yourself without basis help. Follow the following steps.
From the VA22 go to System -> User Profile -> Own Data
You will reach a new screen. Select the 3rd view "Parameters"
Add one more line with Parameter ID as SD_SWU_ACTIVE and parameter value as "X". Save
Now when you go to any document with VA22. Services for Objects will appear to the left of "CHANGE Quotation xxxxx : OVERVIEW".

Return Order doesn't show Relationship tab in service for Object in ECC 6.0

When a Return Order is made from an Idoc, unable to see the relationship tab to be active in Service for Object. When tried the same in the old systm 4.6C it works fine.

How to delete Services For Objects Attachments?

How can I delete records from SOFFCONT1 selectively, to recover Database space, without corruption of Database integrity in other tables?
Thousands of scanned images have been uploaded to SAP R3 as 'Attachments' to Financial documents, and produced massive amounts of binary data in table SOFFCONT1. It was thought that 'Links' were being created until Basis saw the size of table SOFFCONT1.
A new methodolgy creates 'Links' to files on a network filer instead.
The bleeding has stopped!
The original methodology for creating the relationship included the following:
SO_FOLDER_ROOT_ID_GET
SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD
SO_SPLIT_FILE_AND_PATH
SO_LOIO_PHIO_CREATE
SO_OBJECT_INSERT
BINARY_RELATION_CREATE
New records are thereby added to the following tables:
SOFFLOIO
SOFFPHIO
SOFFCONT1
SOFFPHF
SOOD
SOC3
SOFM
SRGBTBREL
A debug session of the transaction FB03, display attachments, and delete revealed the following function modules:
BINARY_RELATION_DELETE
SO_OBJECT_DELETE_IN_VB
This only deletes the relationship records in tables:
SOFM
SRGBTBREL
What I really want to do is delete all traces (records in tables) of these image/document relationships in R3 and recover the Database space.
Is anyone experienced with this recovery process, and has a solution to this requirement?
Any suggestions welcome.

Looking to add Services for Object to pricing transaction VK12. Is there an object specific to pricing?
How can this be accomplished?
I have read documentation on creating services for object for custom code, but this is a standard transaction so it wouldn't apply.

But my suggestion is use Condition Text, insted of services for object.

Services for Object activation required for VA02 in SAP 4.0B version

This is regarding Sales Order Change (VA02) and If I select the MENU navigation : SYSTEM -> Services for Object in ECC 6.0 then it is populating one Pop-up stating that "Sales Order XXXXXXX" Here we have the option for "Create Attachment".
For this we need to do one prerequist in SAP ECC 6.0 Goto Tcode SU01 under the "Parameter" Tab we need to provide the following Parameter ID i.e
SD_SWU_ACTIVE and Parameter value is : "X".
The Same scenario I need in SAP 4.0b version.
It would be grateful if you can helpout in this issue.

Absolutely it is not possible.
The services for object is only visible, once the original object is created.
Even if you check for normal F-02 entry also, it wont be visible during entry, but will be visible after posting if we go thru FB02 or FB03.
Any attachment can be assigned through the services for object, is possible only after creation of the dependent / original data.
So for AS02 and AS03, the dependent data has to be there in the DB, which has been created with AS01.

is_object-OBJKEY = object-key-salesdocument.

and created the task for this method but did not find result in VA02 and VA03.

How to add the "Services for Object" icon/functionality.

Dear all.
I have seen in some SAP standard transactions a button named "Services for Object" in the title bar of the screen. An example is in transaction MM03. The button is to the left of the title "Display Material xxxx".
Does anyone know how I could incorporate such functionality in my own program.

You need to use GOS for this.
1. Create a Generic object thru transaction SW01.
then call the following method in the PBO
module call_gos_attachment output.

Hello,
I'm executing QM02 for quality notification. It is desired to send the quality complaint and other documents via email. There is a services for object
icon that allows the emailing to external mail. however when the document
is received, it only contains what appears to be header text: BOR BUS2078
and the notification number. How can I get the document as an attachment using the services for object?

Hi Ricky
When you use services & Send function for any object, you will receive a SAP inbox email with a link to the corresponding object. When you click on that link, system takes you to the object (in your case Quality Notification).
BOR BUS2078 is the link for quality notification.
If you try to send the service to an external mail, you may not receive the link as hence you will see only BOR text.
If you want to send a notification as email to an external address:
follow menu Notification->Print->Notification.
Select the Print Preview option ; Then download as a PC file into your PC. Then send email with your email program.

I have seen you asking a lot of questions all about the same scenario in my understanding. It seems you like to send a picture or an attachment from/to the mobile device, is this correct? I get this impression because your questions are mostly around the MAM30_080 syncbo.
Could you specify the exact problem you have a little more in detail?
Sending notes,..... either you enhance a SyncBO. This is not to difficult and you do not have to do the complete basic ABAP development for your own. You still have to do some coding on the R3 side, but the SBUILDER stuff in the middleware is not necessary.
On the other hand, you can easily develop your own SyncBO. This is perhaps the best solution in your case.
Relation ships in SyncBOs are done with the cascading. See in SBUILDER for MAM30_001 - it has a relationship to MAM30_010 fo example. This is a process you do at design time. Here the MDK helps with some instructions about it. If you have an oject with a short text, just fill in the short t.ext, the long text is a splittedt structure inside the BO. If you want to see that, it is really simple:
Create a notification on the device. Enter a long text with more then 500chars. Then save.
You need to check the data structure on the device then. When yu open MAM from the MI home screen, the URL usually ends with /start. Change this to /start,jsp - in MAM30 this name has changed to /start_.....jsp,have a look into the project, you will find it - and you select the syncBO MAM30_010 on thqt screen. Then you see the complete data structure on your device. Search for your new created entry. Then you see that the long text is saved as a child structure and it has an index so ther backend can put it back to one long text in the correct order.
The same way you have to go if you want to send some data that is longer then 250 Byte.
Hope this helps to switch on some lights.

I suspect you would need to develop a custom BDC program for this purpose.
