iTunes 11 64bit is really inconvenient. cant find where to add remove songs to iphone manually. cant add remove files to iphone manaully.

Content on iPhones is restricted to being managed from a single library. Other devices can have content added from multiple libraries if they are in manually managed mode, but you can only switch modes from the library the device is normally managed with or the current content will be erased.

I can't figure out how to add songs from my itunes library to my iphone. I used to just drag the songs from the library to my phone, but now that won't work. It's probably something really simple that I'm missing, but it's frustrating me. Can anyone help? My phone is the iphone 4 if that matters.

This seems like something everyone would want to do. I don't know why Apple won't give us a simple solution. They could even charge us for it. I would pay!

If you just want to be able to sync your devices to the same PC without having them get overwritten all the times, here is a free method

Basically, you put the same itunes database file on all the PCs. This fakes itunes into thinking it is always the same PC and the ipod is OK to sync with it. It will NOT keep your libraries truly synced, though. I've just resigned myself to always buying from one PC and manually transferring the content to other PCs I want it on.

First off try and go into your IPhone manually through My Computer and cut photos or anything you can through the device to be able to free space up so that you can continue to do what you want to do with ITunes. This way you will be able to create a backup or do what you have to do to manage your information, photos and texts on your device a little better.

I cannot add songs to my Iphone 4S unless i buy through itunes. I RIP songs from my cds and they go to my library but when i drag to my iphone, it won't allow me to do so. I cannot add songs to my iphone. (I have in the past but recently have not been able to) .I've ripped songs from cds and added them to my library but when i go to drag them over to my iphone, all i get is the big red circle with a line through it. I can't sync because I have so many songs I ripped before on the phone and will lose it all. I've tried dragging the songs to a new playlist and then syncing just that playlist but then i get a message saying this phone is already synced to another playlist. WTH is going on? And how do I fix this. Not really savvy with itunes as you can see!!
