How to: Add special fonts

Hello. I will teach you how to add fonts.
To make a bold font, use: " * " at the beginning and end of your text.
Example: *Hello!*
Will look like: Hello!
To make a strike font, use: "~" at the beginning and end of your text.
Example: ~Hello!~
Will look like: Hello!
If you want to use them ALL in a text, use it like this: ~ *Hey, how ya' doing?* ~
Will look like: Hey, how ya' doing?

Open FontBook from the Applications folder and check the font collections "All Fonts" and "User".
Hoefler Text, e.g. is found in my "All Fonts" collection and it even contains duplicates from Mac OS 9 system folder (marked with a black dot).
Maybe you've just disabled the fonts that Pages requests.

Sorry we only support the fonts in the font family dropdown. You can't use your custom fonts. You can create or vote for the idea here : http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral?view=idea

How to Add Missing Fonts

Hello!
I read through a bunch of other posts but haven't been able to fix my problem. I use Pages to design a project that I turn in each Friday. Today I opened last week's Pages file to update my project for this week and it says:
"The following errors occurred while trying to open this document:
Missing Font -- Hoefler Text-Regular
Missing Font -- Baskerville"
Etc. Lots of missing fonts.
It tells me "To include missing fonts, add them to your Fonts folder, then quit and reopen Pages."
I have no idea how to add a font to my fonts folder or even where my fonts folder is. And where do I get the font? I am so confused! Somebody please help me!

How to add a Font Button in the Top of the Help File

Dear all,
In some of the Help Files (HTML Help), i've seen a Font
button being added in the top of the Help File (for e.g next to
Home button)...when we click this font button, the font size of the
Content present in the Help File Increases/decreases
accordingly....how to add this button in our Help File.
At present i'm creating a HTML Help using Adobe 6..Kindly let
me know, if there are any options...

How to use special font in an applet so that text can viewed in any browser

I have created an applet in which I use text with special font I have installed in my PC. The applet is correctely executed with associated html file in my PC. I try to execute the files in another PC in witch the font is not installed. Text with the special font is not correctely viewed.

Both java.awt.Component and java.awt.Graphics have a method setFont(). You can set whatever font you want. However, if the user does not have that particular Font installed, whether the font is auto-installed for the user is browser and browser-setting dependent.

How to add a Special G/L Indicator in MIRO & FB60 T.Code screen under 'Amount split' tab for each line item in Header.
Client Requirement is Retention amount has to post with Special G/L Indicator 'R', because of all the retention amounts has to show into seperate G/L Account for Balance Sheet purpose.
For Eg., 1000 $ - GR Carried and at the time of MIRO 900-Vendor Dr.; 100-Vendor(R)(Spl G/L Indicator) Dr.; and 1000 GR/I R Account has to credit.
Quick action will be appreciated.

I am focused with a similar problem. For us it is necessary to have a MIRO posting with special G/L indicator in order to set a alternative reconciliation account when we have a PO with account assignment category A. Then we have to treat it as liabilities coming from investments.
I've already tried to solve it via substitution. While debugging it seems quite OK but the result is not satisfying at all as the document doesn't show the special G/L indicator and the posting key.
So my question is if there is another user exit or a BAdI available that enables me to implement this requirement.
Otherwise we will be obliged to create redundant master data by doubling the vendors. But then it will be more difficult for our purchasing people to know exactly which vendor number they have to take in which case, and also the reporting isn't that efficient as people will have to remind to select all numbers.

It all depends what exactly you are talking about, so if you tell us, someone can help you. Some can be made from the keyboard, others you would need to copy/paste from an app like Unicode Map.

How to add a font for use by the code editor

Version 3.0.04 windows
found Preferences -> Code Editor -> Fonts
Did not see the font I would like to use in the list. The font is terminal. The font can be displayed in Control Panel -> fonts in windows.
In the help I found Edit Font Location but could not find the dialog box described in the help
Is there a procedure to add the font so SQL Dev can use it?

Creating the Standard Text:
Go to SO10
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create.
And enter the Required Information and save.
To include a Standard text in SmartForm.
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.

and encoding UFT-8. Every time I add special characters like the German Ö Ä or Ü to my feed, the feed stops working. The validator says that characters like üöä are no UTF-8 characters which is correct of course, but a second podcast which I listen to, uses the same header like I do but it contains the same special characters and it works. Does anyone know what the difference is?

but there are no diacriticals in it - presumably you've removed them.
The other feed simply includes the diacriticals - it's not using html encoding to display them - so I don't know why you should be having trouble. You need to be writing the text in a plain text editor, not a word processor, and I don't know whether there is an issue with Windows here.
You could try using the codes - they must be the numbered not the named codes:
ü is ü
ö is ö
ä is ä

The Reader does support PDF documents so you can read a PDF with your preferred language, however at this stage Russian is not supported for text files.

How to add special characters in Flash CS3

Hi, i need the help of some flash guru… these last weeks we were working with cloversites.com to build a community website… the interface is awesome etc etc however we in Malta have eight special characters (GCZ with a dot on top of them and an H with a second strikethrough). Those at cloversites wrestled with the problem, they could see the characters on their computers but when they entered the text in the site, flash couldn't render the special characters. Here is their message:
I am extremely sorry about this, but we were unable to add in your characters. We attempted to add them into our software but they did not work. We worked on it all morning and realized that we need an extra add-on for our keyboards. Adding special characters is nothing new to us and have answered this request for many of our international users. For some reason, the Maltese characters did not work in our sites. For example, our "option-G" is the copyright symbol so it will need to be transferred over to international characters.
Unfortunately, we thing that this has to do with Adobe Flash CS3. The software allowed me to embed the characters, but we were unable to render them on the web. Which led us to think it had to do with the version Adobe is running and its inability to render the text through its software on the web. None of the characters worked on the web, and it looks like its just an Adobe bug. So we are able to type and use the Maltese characters, but Adobe Flash is having trouble with them.
Does anybody know of any possible solution?

Hello I am currently trying to add font from typekit to my muse site. I am using a font that is not included in muse but from the typekit website. I changed my paragraph style name, and also the selector in type kit, published my kit, and I inserted the code on the top of my website. Could someone please help? Im uploading the site to business catalyst but Its not changing the font.

To add the typekit fonts that are not listed in Muse, you must follow the standard code embedding procedure suggested by typekit here, http://help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/6780-adding-fonts-to-your-site
I see that you have inserted the typekit JS as HTML on the page. You should consider adding the same to the head section of the page. For that go to the Page Properties -> Metadata -> HTML for <head>, and add it there.
As far as the adding the edge is concerned I see that there is an Iframe on the page trying to load the banner.html which is not there on the root.
I'm assuming that's the Edge project you are referring to. Try to upload the banner.html on the root level on the server and let me know how that goes.
