How to add text to photos[non slides]

I can't find any way to add text to a slide except with slideshow or book page. Surely Aperture couldn't forget this. Anybody??

Aperture didn't forget that -- it's outside its remit.
Aperture provides powerful tools for two tasks:
Digital photograph conversion and development (esp. RAW), and
Digital asset management (a/k/a DAM).
You might be able to do what you want with the free but full-featured Aperture plug-in Border FX.
For true compositing (combining graphics elements, text, and geometric primatives), you need a graphics program.

You can't using iphoto. You'll need an external editor. Seasgore is free, Photoshop Elements is relatively inexpensive, Photoshop is very expensive. Graphic Converter may be on your machine already. Search on http://www.macupdate.com

You can't add text to a Photo in iPhoto. You need an external editor for that:

The Gimp (free)
Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
Acorn ($50 approx)
Pixelmator ($50 approx)
Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

I am new to flash and I am using Macromedia Flash 8. My task is simple enough: I need create a Presentation with Screens from PDF files: I have 10-12 PDF files which I want convert into flash presentation.

I'm having trouble how to add PDF files into a slides: I want insert a whole pdf file as separate slide, without splitting pdf file into separate elements: pictures, text, etc. I tried import pdf file into Flash, wheen import there is shown prompt how program should process this pdf file(add in stage, library, as keyframes, etc) , not clear which option is correct for my task. What I got is pdf file splitted into multiple images, text, - which is not what I want. I want keep PDF files without changes, preserve original design and formatting, just convert this pdf into flash, so presentation will consist of PDFs organized in correct order, then add navigation buttons and some effects. How to solve this task?

Just to avoid potential confusion... PDF is an Adobe format, but Flash 8 is/was not. Flash 8 came out before Adobe bought Macromedia. Even today, I don't believe anything has been done to accomodate direct integration of PDF content in Flash.

How to add text to Imovie

Hi there,
As a new user of an Macbook, and iMovie, I cannot figure out how to add texts to my movies. I do understand that I can add titles, but that doesn't allow me to change positions nor allows me to edit the font in the extent that I want to.
Naturally I browsed the web, and the only conclusion I can draw is that it is not possible (yet) to add plain texts to your movie. Is this correct?
If this is the case, do you use some other programs to circumvent this limitation in iMovie?

in imovie 10, look at the bottom left hand corner there should be:
Content and Backgrounds
Titles
Tranistions
This is also known as the content libary
Click on titles and they should appear, it works for me.

Do you mean 'Frame 1 - 10'? If you want the text to appear in Frames 1 - 10, you have to add the text to all frames from 1 - 10 above your image layer.
But what if then i want to make a new text for layer 11-20? Wouldn't the text appear in layer 1-10 as well? How to separate the text then?
If you want new text for Frame 11-20, you have to create a text layer in Frames 11 - 20 and change the text that you want to show in 11-20 frames.

I can't add text to photo. The Horizontal Text Box appears but when typing there is no text seen. There is a cursor line which appears outside the text box.

Please change the size of text and make it smaller.

How to add a sound on some slides? Not only one slide and not all the slideshow?
Is it possible? It must be!

Keynote is not Powerpoint and vice versa. The way music is currently handled in Keynote has been explained. If you wish music to play across only a few contiguous slides, you make them a seperate file and hyperlink to them using an object for the hyperlink.
Once built, and properly used, the transition from one set of slides to the next set is smooth and the audience will not know (or care) if there is one, two or fifty hyperlinked files behind the curtain. What they see is the content, the message and the effective use of a visuals to backup your actual live presentation. The files you create are not the presentation, you and all you bring to the audience are the presentation. You are simply using a tool to assist youself to help your audience better understand your message.
Using Keynote is found by many presenters to be an easier application to use. If you find Powerpoint easier, by all means use it. Your message will be basically the same to your audience, if done properly.
Feedback is a good way to ask for changes but given the rate of change, learning those few simple workarounds and using them effectively will help you use Keynote (or Powerpoint - yes there are limitations there too) to easily put your point across. Your audience will sense your frustrations as a distraction so it is better to accept the few limitations and make your presentation shine in spite of them.

My husband is a diesel mechanic and often needs to send photos of parts etc, it would be helpful if he could add text to the photo. doesnt need to be fancy fonts etc. just visable and adjustable.
may need to add details like length, diameter, maybe arrows pointing to particular areas etc.
I have looked at lots of apps, and havnt found anything simple and easy.

want to add text twice in print module, seems only option is identity plate and it cant be duplicated, any suggestions?

yea i hear ya, but like i made a custom photo strip and another one right next to it so there are two vertical photo strips that after being printed will be cut down the middle. i want to have text (or identity tag) at the bottom of each photo strip (again, will be printing two on one page). Best thing i have come up with so far is dinking around with text in word (duplicate text so it would show up twice) but its kinda an issue with spacing and everything. Sucks you cant just add a box anywhere on there and input what you want (unless there is a way and just cant figure it out). Again, in "custom package"

TLDR: Can I add text to a form (e.g., fill it out) using Adobe Reader DC on Windows, or can that only be done with "fillable" forms? If so, how?
I'm attempting to fill out a fairly lengthy "paper" form. The form is not a fillable form, it is a government form that is downloadable for printing but for whatever reason the government agency chose not to enable the "fillable" feature.
On my Mac, I can just use the "text box" tool in the Preview app to add all of the text that I need to complete this form.
On Adobe Reader DC, which is installed on my Work PC running Windows 8, nothing happens when I click the "fill and sign" button and the features displayed in the online tutorial simply don't show up. There's no text tool. I just see the "hand" icon. When I right-click, I get an option for the Select tool, which enables me to select text, but doesn't allow me to add a text box. The web tutorial says there should be a menu somewhere with an icon to add a text box, but that icon is just straight up missing.
I am very confused by this software. I am not an idiot with computers; but I am a bit old, and I'm more used to keyboards, toolbars, and windows than this "pane" based touch-oriented approach. The toolbar up top seems to be limited to a "pane selector" between Home, Tools (which just reveals a panel of icons most of which are links to cloud services that I don't want), an then a few file handling icons. On the right there is a little panel that says "get started" and offers only two clickable functions, "Send & Track" and "Get Others to Sign" neither of which reveals any text tools.
Now, the answer to my question very well may be "no" which is fine, I'll just keep using my Mac for the task since I know that it works, but I'd really like to be able to leave my personal computer and get everything done within Windows. Surely this isn't one of those things that can only be done on a Mac or with expensive third-party software on a PC. But the web seems to insist that this is a thing that should be both possible and simple. Is it?

Business wants to send Subcontractor, the instructions of assembly through Text . They wanted to add these texts in PO form it self. The Instruction size may be 2- 3 page.How to add these texts in PO form.
advantage is No need to enter the Manual text in PO and disadvantage is PO print may be too long.
Shall we add the text in Material Master and While creation of PO system will copy the text in to PO... Is it Material Master is eligible to take 2-3 page of texts in Purchasing view.
if yes how to add these instructions in PO form. is their any new idea. therefore Business need to ensure the text is printed properly in a clear manner.

No need of maintaining any text in material master you can directly call text in the form...
we require this text will only for subcontract PO. not for Std PO
You have to build validation in the form program, Kindly discuss ABAPer on building validation and calling standard text in the program..
