How to add vlan virtual interface on a Catalyst Using SNMP

Hi,
I need some assistance in locating the mib/variables to allow me to add and remove vlan
virtual interface on Catalyst 3759G. If I understand correctly CISCO-VTP-MIB can not carry
out this requirement.
Is there another way of accomplishing this using SNMP ?

You cannot add a new interface directly using SNMP. However, you can use the CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB to copy a config snippet into the running configuration which can create a new VLAN interface. However you should not be referring to Luns via their logical device i.e. c0t0d0, but using the unique did device or the /global device. refer to scdidam -L which will list all the did devices across all nodes and map them to the logical device path.

I am trying to setup a network interface with the following steps on a new fresh Solaris 10 installation using the instruction titled How to Add a Physical Interface After Installation in Solaris 10 3/05 ONLY from http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19253-01/816-4554/esxhb/index.html:
1. # ifconfig lo0 plumb up
2. # ifconfig lo0 10.56.8.101 netmask 255.255.240.0. This was the working Windows DHCP environment prior to installing Solaris
10 on top of it.
3. # Added saturn to /etc/hostname.lo0.
4. # Added 10.56.8.101 to /etc/inet/hosts
5. # Added 10.56.0.0 255.255.240.0 to /etc/inet/netmasks
6.# reboot
However, the following errors kept recurring:
svcs –xv …. unable to qualify my own domain name,
failed with exit status 69.
Any idea on what other steps have I missed? I was hoping to only do step 3 – 6 for the change to apply permanently.

Use your favorite Internet search site (such as Google, Bing, Yahoo) to learn more about it.
2. # ifconfig lo0 10.56.8.101 netmask 255.255.240.0. This was the working Windows DHCP environment ...I have no idea how a nonexistent software construct gets a DHCP address in a MS Operating System, unless you are confusing this with the "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" which is an utterly different concept. Again, go see what Google tells you.

This is my first Discussion on this forum, i have read this a few times looking for solutions, but i not for asking...
Well, my problem is that i am developing a software usig flex builder for a all in one computer. One of the thing that the aplication does is that the user could connect to facebook in order to upload a picture. I have use the API for facebook and goes OK, and i also implement a virtual qwerty for writting into the aplication textInputs, but i want to mix both.
I mean, i would be very grateful if someone knows how to add to the loginWindow (thats appear when use the login method of facebook) a qwerty that can write into the fields.

I finally add the qwerty keyboard to the log in window, adding it to the html.stage, but cause i cant refer to the email text input in facebook log in, i implement a java function which emulate a physical keyboard, but unfortunately when i press the virtual keyboard i los focus into the text input and the letters are not written into the field...
anyone knows how i could mantain the focus into the field so i could write into it using the virtual keyboard???

How to add additional disks on vmware OEL4 and use it for Oracle 10gR2?

I created a virtual machine on vmware workstation 6 and installed OEL4.
during first install I created 20 GB disk but now I want to add more disks.
from vmware documentation I tried to add more 8 gb disk to the virtual host.
under devices I see two lines;
Hard Disk (SCSI 0:0) 20.0 GB
Hard Disk (SCSI 0:2) 8.0 GB
but I must be missing some step since I can not see 20 + 8 gb at df;

firstly set those ports as trunks via "VLAN Management" -> "Interface settings" - click on corresponding port, click on "edit.." button and select "Trunk" from list.
Once those ports (GE1 and GE2) are as trunks, you can now assign them all desired VLANs via "VLAN Management" -> "Port VLAN Membership". Select first port (GE1), click "join VLAN" and select all desired VLANs from left list and put them to right list.

by default, switch management IP is a part of default VLAN1. If you wanted to keep access to your switch, assign "VLAN1" to one of access ports, or change management VLAN to different number than 1 - but in this case dont forget to apply correct IP settings in order to meet subnet assigned in new VLAN.

How to add a virtual disk into a 'guest VM' after VM has been created?

Well, it was easy when one need to add a virtual disk before creating a guest VM. All need to do was to edit the template and click on disk tab and create a virtual disk.
However the challenge comes after created a 'guest VM'. I need to add additional virtual disk into this 'guest VM'.
This is what I did.
Click on Repositories tab --> Under repositories--> Virtual Disks. There is a green "+" sign. Click on it. It says create virtual disk. Follow the instruction, I enter the virtual disk name, size, and select if it is spare or non-spare. Hit ok. Well, everythings seems fine.
Next, I click on the "blue folder" icon which indicated import virtual disk. It asked me about Virtual disk download location.

Where is the newly created virtual disk located? Isn't it supposed to be in Oracle Server? But it doesn't have a http server running there.

Virtual disks can only be added and removed at runtime from a PVM. You don't even need to know anything special. Just create the vdisk and use the VMs settings to occupy another slot with the new vdisk.
But as I said… this works only with PVMs, not HVMs. In case of a HVM, you will need to shut down the VM and add the disk afterwards, then fire it back up.
The little folder with the blue down arrow is for importing an existing vdisk file from a web- or ftp server. If you have already created the vdisk, you won't need that.

I've been playing around with this wonderful Edge Commons interactive SVG tutorial
My question is : How to add an external link "url" to an interactive svg using edge commons library ?

I have adapted this tutorial to an interactive map, http://madudesign.com/works/france/ every thing is going fine until I couldn't figure out to link a particular url on each part of the region of the map.
I managed to figure out how to change colors on the different parts of the map on mouse over and mouse out but I'm not quite comfortable with JavaScript since I don't use it every day...
I have tryed to link to an url by passing it on the illustrator layer and via the onclick event (event.target.id) to a simple url

then working in Edge and publishing on the browser the link returns me a weird url line by replacing the original url slashes "//" by "_x2F_" and I must have misunderstood the proper JavaScript line to open that link from there...
for example on my actual exemple "http://madudesign.com/works/france/"
the first top region of France is normally a link to "http://www.google.com" and it returns "http:_x2F__x2F_www.google.com" plus the complete path to the file too...
I don't know how to get around this trick and have back for each region a particular clean link from the event target id of the svg...

"The problem that you bumped into was that you hadn't included a valid URL so far. We weren't sure if you wanted to include them within the SVG file or if you wanted to implement the functionality within Edge Animate. We came up with a solution for the latter one, with a simple switch in the js code:
You have to type in the appropriate URL of course for all the cases."

Calling ABAP Subroutines: PERFORM
You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine (form) from any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime authorization checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for carrying out calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is needed at display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.
PERFORM commands, like all control commands, are executed when a document is formatted for display or printing. Communication between a subroutine that you call and the document is by way of symbols whose values are set in the subroutine.
Syntax in a form window:

Have you entered .\vpnclient.exe /? to see if it will return information about other switches you can use with this executable? Other than connect, I was able to track down a few without actually having the executable (http://www.scribd.com/doc/40108893/Cisco-VPN-Client-Command-Line).
That said, I do not believe that there is a switch that will help you create a connection. These are either done manually through the GUI, or can be likely be added by supplying a properly formatted file in the proper place.
If you're using the version of the Cisco VPN client I think you are, then your connection settings, or profiles, are stored in individual .pcf files somewhere on your computer (likely in the Cisco directory). These are simple, text-based files. Find one
on your computer, save it with another name, and then modify it manually. If you really want to use PowerShell, then use this opportunity to learn how to create and edit basic text files using PowerShell. If you have a standard connection file, then you can
put that file onto remote computers any number of ways. If a .pcf file exists in the proper place when the VPN client is opened, then it likely will not prompt for a new connection.

Are you meaning rintones that you create from existing files?
If so - then Google and you will get lots of hits on 'how to'.
Once you have the ringtones in your iTunes library then make sure in iTunes prefs>General tab - the Tones option is selected. Once your device shows in the Devices list make sure you select from the Tones tab in the Devices window the tones you want to d/l.

I am having a requirement where i need to add a textline to an xml.
scenario: IDOC-File and output format is an xml.
Output should be like this:

The line that has been added to xml is the data that will be coming from IDOC. How can we append the textline to the xml using xslt.Will document() in xslt works for doing this?

The required format in ur scenario is not an xml format, so u should not save the file in xml format. U may write an adapter module at receiver to achieve this.

This is not possible as the output of xsl transformation is an xml file.
