How to add watermark programattically

I wanted to use the addWatermark javascript to my pdf file . I read from the documentation it needs a Acrobat 7 professional to do that. How do I programattically through SDK add the script .how to execute it through professional and send the saved pdf to the end user.

As an alternative, you may want to create a batch sequence for this ... it's easier and quicker.
Advanced > Batch Processing ... > New Sequence ... > [name for new sequence] > Select Commands ... > Document: Add Watermark & Background > Add>>
Then, in the batch sequence command list on the right, doubleclick "Add Watermark & Background" to call up the dialog that lets you set all the watermarking parameters.

While it is possible to add a watermark in Aperture you can;t create a watermark file in Aperture, for that you will need another program. There are many good tutorials on the web, search for Watermarks in Aperture or somthing similar.
If you don;t want to go through all that you can download the Aperture plugin BorderFx which is free and will allow you to add watermarks and a bunch of other useful functions.

How to add watermark text over an image

I add a watermark text in the corner of all my images in photoshop before putting them on the web. I use a text layer, emboss it, blur it, choose hard light and position it.
I am new to Lightroom. I am using an Intel iMac with up to date lightroom. Is there any way I can have some sort of preset in lightroom which will add this watermark to images in lightroom? I have the image saved as a separate document so technically all I would need to do is tell lightroom to apply this image to the selected photos.
Is this possible?

Alex, I do something similar to what you want to do, we use the Web module to create a flash slide show for proofs on a CD. Export all the images, sized for web use to a folder. Do a Photoshop action that adds your watermark. Re-import the finished files, go to Web module & upload. You should look into Mogrify, as it will add whatever watermark image, or text you want to, and has an "upload to an FTP server after export" function. I have not used this, as we don't upload to a studio website.

I'm editing my videos in iMovie and I'm able to do lot of things there but I don't find a option where I can add a watermarks (text) to the video.
There is a possibility to add titeles, overlaps, music and pictures in iMovie but I can't find any text or watermarks. I have only the the "stipes" in titels which shows in the lower border of the video, but I don't want that. I want "text hanging in the air".
Where to do this?

If you just want a title hanging in mid-air, I would just drag the Centered title over the entire project (the entire clip will turn blue to show where the title is). Highlight the text to change it, then click on *Show Fonts* where you can change the color. Choose a light gray and it will look like a watermark.
Another way to do this is to import a still image over your entire project and set the opacity to low, which gives a watermark or ghost effect.

I have a few indd files in the database .
I want to write a java class , that puts a water mark (print only) on a few indd files based on some parameters.
I have the binary , which after modification will have to be saved back to the DB as indd.
Can anyone suggest a way how this can be done.

Can't be done, for a realistic assessment of "can". InDesigns documents cannot reliably be created or modified without InDesign itself. (*)
If you need to do this on native InDesign documents, you have to buy and install it.

Hi have found the solution. You need go into the View menu and make sure that you have checked the Show Invisibles option. Once you can see the invisibles, you should see a blue line at the top of the "blank" page with a small "document" icon at the right of the line. You need to delete this blue line/icon which will delete the whole page as long as there are no other "invisible items" which may also need to be deleted.
I did the above and my blank page disappeared from the thumbnails view immediately.

     Basically I want to add a watermark that is a border, like "outside stroke" so that it doesn't clip the photo.
     Upper, left and right side are 10px and on the bottom is my signature that is 40px high. I know how to do this in Photoshop, but can't figgure it out in Lightroom.
     The inset function with negative numbers doesn't work, because it only export to the size of the exported image, instead it should resize the image with those 10px up, left and right and 40px on      the bottom.
My bordes look like this either one of the two can be used, and if you scroll down you will se how the end result should look like.
And below is what it should look like, so that Lightroom doesn't clip the photo.

Are you sure the focus of your piano roll is on the right track? Are you zoomed in/out enough?

You can't do so in Bridge, only option for a watermark inhere is via the Output Module on a PDF contact sheet.
Best try this question in the Photoshop forum, they might have better answers because you need to create an action in PS to get what you want.

Newbie alert! How to add a watermark

Maybe I just missed this in the manual. I admit to being greener than grass with this sort of software. And as much as I search the 'help' pdf that came with 1.1, I still can't figure this out.
I've created a plate, and the name shows up all nice and pretty when I start Lightroom.
But I can't figure out how to add a watermark to a picture.
Specifically, I'd prefer to add it on import of the RAW file, but I'd settle for being able to add a watermark on the creation of a jpg file.
Currently I take the jpg into photoshop where I have a watermark layer that I apply.
But I'd rather not leave lightroom at all, if possible. That's kinda the point of getting Lightroom.
Any help or guidance that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that was the year I was born.
So now I've figured out how to add the meta data. I've even created a metadata template that gets applied when I import. This is a good thing.
When I check the exported jpg files, the extended properties include the copyright information that my template entered. Yet another good thing
however...
There is no watermark on the jpg!
Yes, the "Add copyright watermark" option is checked in the "Image Settings" area of the export. (If I could figure out how to attach the screen print, I'd show you.) And the copyright information shows up in the extended properties of the jpg. But no watermark.
If it is relevant, I am using Vista with Lightroom 1.1
I really did rtfm. And I thought I had it figured out after a bit of hacking. But I was wrong.
Suggestions?

In Keynote, use the text tool, enter text and select the font, size and colour.
To create the watermark effect, reduce the opacity in the colour palette.

If I have my video imported, and have added a song for the background music, how do I add a pause to the audio but keep the movie going. There is two pieces of audio, the song and the video audio. I want to pause the background music so that the video audio plays (someone is talking) and then the music comes back in after the talking is done.

Have you looked at Document -> Add watermarks & background... ?
If you want to do it automatically, it's possible to set this up using the batch processing command, same thing, the command is "Add watermarks & background".
It's probably possible using JavaScript as well, but, there's really no need if the "add watermarks and background" works for you.
