How to adding new operation and trigger PR

Hi guru,
I am seeking an opinion and recommendation:
We have a process flow where we need to create a purchase order when we reach a specific operation in the routing. This purchase order is send to a external vendor that gets information to arrive to the factory and finsh an operation.
The routing consist of 4 operations:
010 assembly,
020 - testing,
030 - machine polish(triggers the PO to the vendor when operation 20 is confirmed),
040 - packing and the milestone.
Normally the routing only consist of 3 steps - assembly, packing and testing. but for these special machines we add the extra operation to have the machine cleaned. We need to have a solution for how the new operation can be added to the routing and in the same time trigger a Purchase requistion.

Thanks for you feedback.
two questions:
1 - currently the routing of this material consists of only three operations (i.e. 0010 - Assembly, 0020 - Testing in Production, 0030 - Packing). So if I want to adding in this subcon operation (ie. machine polish) to the between 0020 and 0030, I will have to adding it manually. Will this cause problem? sorry I am not a PP person.
2 - may i know the "external processing control key" you mention is the technical field PLPOD-STEUS appear in the "Display Routing: Operation Overview" screen in CA03?

Hi,
First upload the file into an internal table. If you are using a file that is on application server. Use open dataset and close dataset.
Then :
Loop at it.
*insert or modify as per your requirement.
Endloop.

Change new button order and default content type
set your custom content type to be #1
when you upload new document it will automatically have your custom content type

How to calculate New customers and Returning customers in Pivot Table for any given Month or Quarter or Year. I am open to use helper column, formula or a calculated field etc

I have received the file and read it, based on your further explain, I know your requested more clarity. In my view, the requested could be done via VBA code or Select function in other dataset, like Access/SQL. (Because before we count the new
customer and return customer, we might to filter them via rule, the formula need to assign the customer one by one. So, it's inefficient）

Adding new characteristics and value fields in COPA

I have recently added several new characteristics and one new value field to the operating concern in the development system.
I am not exactly sure how to create the transport. This is the first time I have done a transport in COPA so I was hoping someone out there would have some tips on how this is done.

OIM: Create new link and trigger a process.

Hi,
I am customizing the OIM admin and user console. My aim is to add a new menu item and trigger a new process (say a provisioning process of a resource).
I have the menu link. I can point it to any servlet I want.
I have a resource object.
I have the form made using form designer in designer console.
I have a provisioning process attached to my resource object.
Now, how should I connect all these things together as to make an end to end flow.
Like how should I link such that a user can try to provision (self provision) my resource to himself by clicking on that link.

My second problem:
I want a way to say invoke a servlet (that I can do, but dont know which servlet to invoke.) so that my form (from the form designer) pops up, and I can fill data in it to create its instance. And this would trigger an approval process and provisioning process.
At last a page is returned stating that provisioning was successful or unsuccessful.

How to open new window and generate oracle report from apex

Hi,
I had created an application that generates PDF files using Oracle Reports, following this Guide.

And I followed 'Advanced Technique', so that users can't generate PDF file by changing URL and parameters. This is done for security reasons.
But in this tutorial, when 'Go' button is pressed, the PDF file is displayed on the same window of apex application. If so, user might close the window by mistake. In order to avoid this, another window have to be opened.
So, I put this code in the BRANCH - URL Target. (Note that this is not in Optional URL Redirect in the button property, but the branch which is called by the button.)

But if the button is pressed, I get this error.
ERR-1777: Page 2100 provided no page to branch to. Please report this error to your application administrator.
Restart Application
If I put the code 'javascritpt ....' in the Optional URL Redirect, another window opens successfully, but the Process to generate report job is not executed.
Does anyone know how to open new window from the Branch in this case?

Try putting your javascript into your plsql process using the htp.p(); procedure.
For example, something along these lines should do it:
BEGIN

htp.p('popupURL("&REPORTS_URL.quotation&P2100_REP_JOB_ID.")');
htp.p('</script>');
END;
What happens is the javascript is browser based whereas your plsql process is server based and so if you put the javascript into your button item Optional URL Redirect it is executed prior to getting to the page plsql process and therefore it will never execute the process. When you have it in your branch which normally follows the processes, control has been handed to the server and the javascript cannot be executed and so your page throws the error "Page 2100 provided no page to branch to"... By "seeding" the plsql process with the embedded javascript in the htp.p() procedure you can achieve the desired result. You could also have it as a separate process also as long as it is sequenced correctly to follow your other process.

I have requirement like this . i have a standard print prog and custom form. i want add 2 to 3 extra windows in the form and i have to print some data. but how can v do this with out changing the print program. i know that to pick new fields through subroutines. but how can v call new windows and new text elements with out changing the print program.
usually in the print program we write as follows.
write_form
window = 'HEADER'
textelemtn = 'HEADER'
can we accomplish this one also through subroutines or any other way is there.
can any one pls suggest this.

we use the "\r" character to insert a new line and we can use "\t" to insert a "tab" for the spaces, or the actual spaces in a variable

please advise how to assign the output type and trigger immediate printing after this.

Hi Reetha ,
This is a functional setting , and should be done by some functional guy. The setting can be done by NACE.
Just follow the path : NACE - > Select V3 for Billing - > Press Output type Button Just above - > Assign Output Type and
then Assign Output program and form in PROCESSING ROUTINE comes into left. Set this output type for immediate print.
Whenever You create a billing document by BAPI with this document type , the print out will be fired immediately.

I had installed oracle 11g DB and oracle client in my windows OS. I found in the 11g there is no enterprise manager console with new version. It is different from with oracle 10g.So i don't know how to create it new user.
I had created new DB instance, but i don't how to create a user on that. Who can give me a hand for that? I hope one oracle experenice expert give my answers.

I am not sure that which option you are talking about? Are you using the EMCA,http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28319/emca.htm#SUTIL800] to create the new repository for the EM? If not the command line than the other only way is to use DBCA(Database Configuration Assistant).I believe you are talking about that. Yes ,if the message is coming creating the repository than after wards you can login to the EM. You would get the port no of the EM's HTTP port from the $OH/install/portlist.ini file.

Hi,
Roles are decided by IT managers. Suppose if Persons who are working in shopfloor or production side
give authorization to Production order create , change and Confirm like that etc
1. In role maintenance (transaction PFCG), choose the Authorizations tab page.
2. To change the authorization data for the transactions assigned to the role, choose Change Authorization Data or Expert Mode for Profile Generation. Otherwise, a dialog box appears in expert mode (see Regenerating an Authorization Profile After Changes).
