If you look closely at the top of the canvas pane, as you move either of the boxes (green or red) there is an indication of pixel positions... "top, bottom, left, right," and "scale."
Admittedly, it doesn't seem as if you can "enter" the dimensions with your keyboard, however, as you move the boxes, you have a real time indication of the boxs' locations.
(I couldn't take a screen shot, as you have to actively move the box with a mouse or other input device... thus, I could not also take a screen shot with same device.)

From the Safari menu bar click View > Zoom In or press Command + on the keyboard to increase the size of the page.
If that doesn't help, open System Preferences > Accessibilty > Settings then select Zoom on the left.
You can also increase the resolution on the dislplay. System Preferences > Displays > Display > Scaled

Are you running any Firewalls or Anti-Virus software? If so, disable all of that stuff & try again.

I had the same promblem using my ipad2, I thought i was going crazy, then I noticed once when I put my user name in and checked it was right, one time it dropped the last letter of my U/N as went to hit submit so i went back put the deleted "m" back into ".com", hit enter, put in my password multiple times, tripple checked, no joy. Sorting and organizing photos on IOS devices is one of the things that really need to be improved. It looks like the developers simply did not expect the users to want to keep large photo libraries on an IOS device, where the ordering would matter. I'd send feedback to the developer team, so that they see, what the users want and need:

The internet updated without me knowing and now i can not pull tabs down to make a new window or change the order of tabs and i can't find out how to get back

I open it and I come to find out I can not move the tabs over to the right or the left one spot or two spots they just won't move unless I close them. I use to be able to move there anywhere i wanted or pull down and it became it's own window. YOU need to - in iMovie - Turn on Advanced Tools !
top row menu - with an Apple top left ---> iMovie ---> down to preferences ---> Here select to turn on Advanced tools .
Now it will work when You drop a clip onto another IN a MOVIE PROJECT ! (can not be done in Event's)
Next problem I had - was to get right clip onto the other - what was the Background and What was the Green screen - BUT just test - You only got two ways to try out.

How do you reset the Apple ID to a new one for the automatic updates download tool? It defaults to my old Apple ID, even though I have changed the Apple ID to the new one everywhere I can find.

I have an original Apple ID from my personal iPhone and iPad. I bought a MacBook Pro for business and the Apple Store clerk told me to use the old Apple ID to make setup faster and that I could change to a new one later. So... I did all that and changed the Apple ID everywhere I can find a place to do so. And everything seems okay, except the Automatic Updates download tool defaults back to my original Apple ID. That old Apple ID is grayed out in the login, so I cannot seem to change it to download and update under my new, business-related Apple ID for my MacBook Pro. What to do?

Yes, absolutely, you can still use the old ID to update, etc., but I understood the OP to want to simply discard the old one and use only the new one. Maybe I misunderstood...
And, actually just now re-reading the first post, it could be that the ID had only been associated with the iDevices, so if he established a new ID and associated that with the new MBP, I frankly have no idea if he can still use the old ID on that machine (based on him saying that the old ID is greyed out) - have not come up with this type of situation before.
