How to alert user using BizTalk if a file is not dropped in a folder during a specified time using file adapter (or any other)

Hi,
I have a requirement wher the client wants BizTalk to alert users somehow when a file is not received at specific time. I am using a FILE receive adapter, the requirement is, if the FILE adapter does not receive a file on time then BizTalk should alert the
users somehow. The client wants to use ESB toolkit to do this job.
does anybody have any idea ?

Forgotten passcode (Recovery Mode)

How to find out how many concurrent users using web application?

Hi all,
I have a web application deployed using 9iAS. I am trying to find out how to find out how many concurrent users are using this application at any one time. According to Oracle there is no way to see this information using the enterprise manager interface.
Does anybody out there know how I can find out this information in real time? Failing that, are there any good analysis tools out there that display usage to the minute (all the tools I have found show usage by hour which is not sufficent for my needs).

I know I haven't heard of any software to do this, but this also sounds like a really hard problem to try and really analyze well.
The trick is, you might "infer" how long a user is using an application based on when cookies are set and when they're set to expire. If that's a long time, though, that could count far more "concurrent" users than are actually there. A user could simply close the application at any time and stop using the application; you can't really detect that because the server isn't "told" when the user closes their browser or goes somewhere else.
A good perl script might be able to read the Apache access log and tell you how many unique IPs asked for a given directory in which various applications are stored in any 5 minute span of time... that could be something like an indicator of "concurrent" users.
If you don't know Perl, I'd suggest getting the O'Reilly & Associates book on Perl and learning it, because the more I think about this, the more this sounds like a textbook example for applying a Perl script.

I would suggest using MaxL, not Esscmd. Here is a sample from the online help. With MaxL, you can pass in parameters using 1 script instead of creating multiple Esscmd scripts. create or replace user Fred type external with protocol 'LDAP' identified by 'cn=Engineers, ou=Groups, dc=yahoo, dc=com'; Creates a user called Fred who is externally authenticated with the LDAP protocol.

How can different users spool to the same file?

I am using SQL*plus for 10g db. I am spooling query output to a file. Query should be run and spooled multiple times overwriting previous output.
here is the main piece from the query.sql file
SPOOL output.txt
SELECT....
SPOOL OFF
Let's say user Dan runs this query for the first time. An output.txt is created. Dan can run the query multiple times and each time new data is spooled to output.txt. Now Mike is trying to run this query. Nothing happens!
++I thought the issue has to be with file permissions. However, the issue remained after I gave ALL permissions (a=rwx) to both files: query.sql & output.txt. Funny thing is that I created query.sql and now I (or any other users, except Dan) cannot run it.++

We would like to empower the users to prepare and upload their flat files into BW from their desktop without asking for BW support.

1. Create a small program and then give
Selection Screen:
FIle name : -
Note: Ask users give always same file name i.e. xyz.csv
Once user will give file name and execute it then file will save in Application Server (You fix the path like /usr/sap/BI1/DVEBMGS00/work, you create seperate folder in Application server)
2. Create a small Program with is using Events..
REPORT ZTEST_EV.
DATA: EVENTID LIKE TBTCJOB-EVENTID.
DATA: EVENTPARM LIKE TBTCJOB-EVENTPARM.
 EVENTID = 'ZEVENT1'.
 EVENTPARM = 'ZEVENTPARAM'.
CALL FUNCTION 'RSSM_EVENT_RAISE'
 EXPORTING

4. You craetea Process Chain using this Event, then once User will run this program then the Data Loads will happen through Process Chain.
Note: Eventhough this is lengthy process, it is protected 100%, because we are not giving any access to User, we just given reports/programs to execute.

How to export data using application adapter for EBS?

my scenario is : there're some external apps need to communicate with EBS,
and the intermedia layer supposed to be implemented by SOA suite/Fusion adapters.
my confusion is:
in oracle integration repository, most of APIs are CUD (create, update, delete) without R (read). but many of our usecase was querying data from EBS.
my question is : although, considering performance and unpridictable query object and granularity,it's not a good idea using app adatper to querying data from EBS via app api, but if I using db adapter to query data directly, it seems not easy as expected because it need to know the detail table structure and relationship and to build sql by hand.
so, is there other proper way to get outbound data integration using fusion middleware? additional, I'm not clear about the ODI functionality , is it possible and easy to use ODI perform this task, eg, is ODI has enough API to interact with fusion adapter?

In the Adapter Wizard look under "Other Interfaces/Custom Objects/PLSQL APIs". There are many many "Get" APIs here. None of these are identified or explained in the Integration Repository but the Trading Community Architecture - Technical Implementation Guide does give a little bit of information about what they do.

How to map when using mail adapter

I'm doing a test with mail adapter in XI. The scenario is I put an XML representation content based on the outbound interface used by sender mail adapter directly in inbox mail content and send it. At the other side, I want to using receiver file adapter sotre the content as a file in file system. But some mapping is needed.
What I have already done is to define one outbound interface(IF_Mail) which is used by sender mail adapter.IF_Mail using the structure like

<mail>
</mail>
</MT_Mail>
I also defined an inbound interface(IF_File). IF_File is using the structure like
<MT_File>
<file>
</file>
</MT_File>
I want to map the value of <mail> in mail to <file> in file. I did structure mapping between two message types in IR and all of the configuration in XI.
I put the below content

</a>
</MT_Mail>
as inbox mail content and send it. But when I monitor the XI message. It always says something is wrong with mapping.

copy the payload of incoming message (SXMB_MONI) to your desctop and test the mapping inside the IB Repository (Test Modus of IF-Mapping or Message Mapping), switch the trace to "all".

How to get LDAP sub-error code using JNDI (MD5 or any other SASL mechanism)

My objective is to find out if a user name exists in LDAP/Active Directory. I understand that there are specific sub error codes, like below:
· 525 - user not found
· 52e - invalid credentials
· 530 - not permitted to logon at this time
· 532 - password expired
· 533 - account disabled
· 701 - account expired
· 773 - user must reset password
· 775 - account locked.
When I tried with "simple" authentication, I am able to get exact reason code from which I can understand what went wrong.
Here's the code snippet:

From above output it's clear that the sub error code is 525, that means User Not Found

Before installing Firefox, I need to clarify the following:
The use of locales: I am a developer and my preferable language, for the interface, is English (though, it is not my mother tongue). But, I would like to be able to use any other language (including, the use of any dictionary) and develop for any language or locale. So, does the English version let me do the above mentioned?
Or, eg, do I need to install the Hebrew locale, if I want to use the Hebrew dictionary?
Or, is it possible to install different locales on the same computer (and for the same user, in Win XP)?

You can install any dictionary is every locale, so that shouldn't be a problem if you use the English locale.
If you want to check out the user interface or how the browser acts with an RTL locale like Hebrew then you need to install the language pack and switch to that locale.
You can install additional language packs in any Firefox version.
