How to align footnotes vertically to each other ?

In IDCS5 I want to align two footnotes so it begins at the same height point.

Ah yes - you cannot get Footnotes to Span Columns - it's very frustrating and I'v been campaigning for this feature since CS2

For now you will have to make them endnotes and manually sit them across two columns.
Here's a script that converts indesign footnotes to endnotes (as InDesign can't do that either - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=1345518)

After you've created endnotes - you will have to cut them from the main text frame.
Then you make a new frame and manually place the text frames at the end of the appropriate pages.
It's very annoying.

But my requirement is more on corresponding CRM Tables , the data fetching from R/3 tables will store in which CRM tables.To be clear the adopter objects extract the data from different R/3 tables but stores in to which tables?

You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard V10.6 in order to use the App Store. This is an "upgrade", not an "update".

Cannot Align Two Objects On Each Other

I have done a completely clean install of Creative Cloud CS6 on my mac on Mountain Lion. First time opening Illustrator, and I cannot center two vector objects on each other. Rather, when I click to center them (vertically or horizontally) it actually pushes them further apart! It also appears to be arbitrarily selecting another object on my art board when I select these two (there is no grouping overlap, it makes no sense). I've looked around before, and have 'align to selection' checked, and 'snap to grid/snap to point' unchecked in the 'view' dropdown. Going to try to trash my preferences, but this is literally the first time I've opened it, so I can't see how that would be an issue!
I use this tool CONSTANTLY in what I do, so this is really troubling. Has anyone had a similar problem and fixed it? Thanks so much!!

I held down Option+Command+Shift while opening Illustrator (as offered in another thread as a way to trash/reset preferences). I know it did this as I had changed the color scheme to light grey, and it's back to dark grey.
Opened up original file. Now, I can center things horizontally alright, but vertically jumped the both of them way down the page.
Created a new file. Could center horizontally, centering vertically did absolutely nothing—no jumping down the page, no doing what it should be doing...nada.

How to display different windows beside each other not on top of each other at bottom task bar

When I open a new Firefox window, it stacks it on top of all the others in the task bar at the bottom. I would like them to be BESIDE each other. It used to do that. Now I have to hover over the ONLY Firefox item on the bottom task bar and read the list to find the one I want to go to. This is a waste of time and tedious.
How can I change this?

I think this is governed by your general Taskbar setting. Please see the attached screen shot. To get that dialog, right-click a blank area of the Taskbar and choose Properties.

Grey background or the desktop background? Do you have full screen mode enabled? If so turn it off.
If you are seeing the desktop backgound on both screens your tv connection is working and if the menu bar is on one screen and not the other you are running the screens in extended display mode.
About Arrangements, Menu Bar, Extended Displays, and Mirrored Displays
When you have multiple monitors (and the TV is considered just a monitor) only one monitor is designated as the "main" monitor. That's the one with the menu bar.
If you look at the Arrangement tab in your Displays preferences you will see both monitors. One will have a little white "menu bar" on it. That's your main monitor. You can drag the little menu bar to the other monitor if you wish to make it the main monitor.
You cannot make both monitors main monitors. However there is a third party app called MenuEverywhere that allows you to do that (it has mixed reviews).
Your two monitors can be spatially arranged with the Arrangement in Displays as well. Drag the monitors around each other to define their relationship. Then you can drag the mouse or windows across with in that "space". This is extended desktop mode and I recommend that to be able to use all the available screen real estate. However there is a checkbox in the Arrangement to run in mirrored mode. Now the two images are identical on both screens albeit the max screen size is determined by the smallest screen in the mirrored set. You would of course have the menu bar on both screens since they are mirrors of each other. But I think it's a waste of good screen real estate.

How to align text vertically?

This seems like it should be really easy: On a simple text slide, how do I align multiple lines of text vertically? Do I have to eyeball it, or is there a way to fix it exactly in the center, top to bottom?

There is no automatic way, but there is a way to make it slightly easier.
After you enter your text, grab the clip of type and move it to a portion of the timeline where there are no other clips.
In the Canvas click on the button on the top right and select Checkerboard:

This will make the background a checkerboard so you can count the squares to verify the top and bottom line are equidistant from the TV Safe Guidelines:

When you are done positioning the type, grab the clip and place it above the clip you originally wanted it to appear over.
You can either leave the Canvas set to display a checkerboard when there is no video present, or switch it back to Black.

I have stored/Retrieved Word documents in Oracle using a utility
that comes with the ConText Option. Essentially I wrote PL/SQL
to run the utility to get the file out of DB and onto the hard
disk, then another PL/SQL to run the utility to move the file
from hard disk into DB. I think the name of the utility was
txtio. I hope this helps.

How to compare two strings with each other?

I have modeled a formular which has a radio group and a button. Furthermore, I have one result state corresponding to each option in the radio group.
In order to determine which result state actually is to be reached I want to attach a condition to each flow to the result states that tests which option has been chosen.
Which operator can I use for writing these conditions? I have tried the "like" operator as well as the "==" operator but neither seems to work.
I have written something like:
=LIKE(@decision, 'option a')
as well as:
=(@decision=='option a')
What am I doing wrong here?

Could this be an Upper/Lower case issue.
I tried the following expression
=(@TXT1=="opt a")
and it worked.
If you want your expression to ignore case you should use this expression:
=(UPPER(@TXT1)==UPPER("opt a"))
In case you're not sure what is the exact string in the field (@decision) you can always use the PROMPT action to display the field's value.

for an example on Inter-portlet communication.
This example is loads an html file in the second portlet, on click of a link on
the first. When the link is clicked on the first portlet, the link info is stored
in a PipelineSession object, and the second portlet loads the appropriate page
by retrieving this info from the PipelineSession object.

How do users send messages to each other?

When a customer submits a web app, the visitor to that web app should be able to send a message to that customer. I didn't find any tags related to this on the web apps templates.
How do we achieve this? Pardon me if I missed something. Sounds like a simple question.

I have worked on Windows based Oracle database. Now, I have to work on Oracle which is Sun OS based. I have never worked on either of Sun OS, Linux or Unix.
I am confused whether Sun OS is same Unix or Linux? Whet should I learn?

so if you are to work with Oracle on Sun OS (Solaris) why not trying out at home ?
You can go with Linux first and after you became a real Unix freak and want to try a VERY userfriendly Unix, you may try Solaris10 on your box. It is Open Source like Linux and can be downloaded free at sun.com (the stable release used for production systems). The newest Oracle releases and patchsets are available for it (32 and 64 bit). It offers some new concepts and (what I like most) is a system usable for home apps up to really big and mission critical applications (you can use it in production systems with 100 or more CPUs).
I am using it even as my desktop system in my office since 2 years.
I got nerved by those Linux-Distributions always doing something in a different way in each new release. But sure, the driver support for some taiwanese hardware there is still better than with Solaris.
Solaris is IMHO not too different anymore in terms of user friendlyness (Gnome is just called Java Desktop System, KDE is also available) and there is a real professional open source community behind it at opensolaris.org. Due to it's kernel qualities there are discussions about releasing Solaris under GPL and creating the GNU operating system from it.

I am looking to create a region with two columns (or two other regions - as children) that are defined vertically, and one beside the other one -- not below that.

I don't think taglibs could be other's attribute value.
Try using attributes:
