How to align head shots?

Hello,
I am trying to create a series of portraits similar to what Picasa Face Movie does, with same dimensions the eyes aligned. The sources are various shots taken over time with different cameras and scanners, so sizes and resolutions are generally different. Each shot requires cropping, shifting and rotation.
The rough alignment was easy, just the crop tool in a development module set to the fixed ratio and some eyeballing. Unfortunately I ended up with a bunch of photographs of the same x-y ratio (and the same exported size) but varying 'zoom levels', eye locations within the frames and tilts. Similar, but not good enough for any presentation, animation etc.
Do you see a way of aiding the process with some sort of alignment mark, layer, semi-transparent mask or something?
thanks!
- Peter

Hey Peter!
Personally?  I'd use probably try and use Photoshop for this.  You can create layers for each individual image, then vary the transparency for each layer (one at a time to start with!) that would allow you to edit the scale, location, etc, visually.then save each layer off as a new file.
Probably not the easiest way to do it, but if you had PS it would get your working while looking for something better!
Cheers!

  • For SAPscript INCLUDE TEXT, how to align as Paragraph format

    Hi experts and ABAP colleagues!
Need your help on this sapscript problem:
How to align texts taken from "INCLUDE TEXT" in SAPscript, according to tab defined in Paragraph Format?
For example, I defined BG to have tabstop at the 2nd column (or equivalent to 1st tab position) where I need to print the text, and then declared it in SE71 like below:
However the text prints at the leftmost instead of at the 2nd col position - (8th char tab defined in par. format BG).  Hence it is not aligned to its proper heading.  Line Number instead of Description - which is not okay for client view that needs these Thai texts.
The technical details I included below.  Kindly examine:
1.)  Window >Main > Text Element > Include Text command
    /E   ITEM_TEXT
    BG   ,,&TTXIT-TDTEXT&
    /:   INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID&
    /:   NEW-PARAGRAPH BG
Note:  I used command "NEW-PARAGRAPH" and had exactly the above code in se71.  Anything missed here?  Pls. help.  Thanks.
    #2.) Paragraph Format > Tab
    No. -
      Tab Position -
    Alignment
    1            8,00 CH            LEFT
    2            28,00 CH          CENTER
    etc.
Note:   and then i put in  ",,&TTXIT-TDTEXT&" (see above) with the 2 comma's beforehand to say that its on the 1st tab or at the 8th character where it should be printed, but does not give intended result... pls help.
#3.) Paragraph Formats > Standard Attributes
    Left Margin - 0 cm
    Alignment - Left
no blank lines checkbox - ticked
Note:  Is there any more attribute i can manipulate from here to force display at the right position?
Thank you so much in advance for all your help.  Our project team will really appreciate it.  May the Lord bless you as we go through our SAP work!
    Sincerely,
    Celeste

Here's a thought, instead of using tabs, try writing a method that takes a string that is the starting string, a pad character, and a length and returns a string padded to that length with the specified character.
public String padR(String src, String padChar, int len)
// ... You get to fill in the rest suggestion try to do it without a loop
    }Have fun,

  • Question about creating a head shot with text

A local actor wants me to create a head shot...The only photo application I have is iphoto. He wants his name to appear at the bottom of the 8 1/2 X 11 print. Can I add text to a regular photo and have it appear in the print? Or is there another way? Thanks to anyone who can help.

    hi patrick,
there is no way within iPhoto. You would have to open the image up in a graphic editor to do that. You don't have any other editor so that's a no go.
There are some free programs out there that you can use. I don't know how well the results would be when printed though. It's not really for professional use.
    Here is one I use.
You can try a free third party application called ImageWell
Download Imagewell and double click to open it.
    http://www.xtralean.com/IW.html
Drag the photo from an open iPhoto library window right into the well of Imagewell
    Click on the "edit" button
Click on the "add text button" which is the "Aa"
click on the photo where you want to add the text
click on the little box on the right to set the color
click on the "f" button to choose the font and the size making sure your text is highlighted so it is affected when you change the font and size.
    Click "done"
when you are happy with it, drag it out of Imagewell's window to the desktop
That's it, you can even change the name of the photo and the size there too, before you drag it out of the window. Actually there is a lot of other fun stuff you can do with it like add balloon text and masks.
Drag the photo back into iPhoto to import it again
For your situation, you would use the "add text in a box" option. It's the Aa in a box on the panel.
Put that box at the bottom of your image and make it big to fit the entire bottom of the image. Type your text in there and make it the size you need.
it will take some fiddling around, but it can be done.

  • Im trying to take a head shot and put it on a color background, but you can tell it has been done ho

im trying to take a head shot and put it on a color background, but you can tell it has been done how do I blend it into background!

Russell Brown's video shows this being done...
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-russell-brown-show/masking-basics-in-photoshop-cs5/
Also, sometimes, if you shoot an image with a radically different background than what you end up putting the subject in front of digitally, reflections in hair highlights and shading can make it seem unnatural.  In those cases you really have no choice but to alter the subject subtly to make it "blend" better into the scene - e.g., with the Burn and Dodge tools.
People might make more specific suggestions if you'll put up an image (or even part of one) showing what you're working with.

    Hi,
there are four events for printing: print_end_of_list, print_top_of_list, print_end_of_page and print_top_of_page. More information about implementing these events is in this bible for ALV:

  • Since upgrading to Mountain Lion 10.8.2, I can no longer print head shot photos from CONTACTS.  Please assist.

Before upgrading to Mountain Lion, I was able to print head shots - in ALPHABETICAL order, mind you - from Contacts.  Why do we not have this feature any more?  Please bring back the way it was!  Thank you!
Issue printing from Contacts: can't print head shots and it's no longer in alphabetical order.
Please don't tell me I can do this from iCloud, because it only prints one contact at a time.

Click GO from Finder and hold down the Option key. You'll see the Library folder in the list. Or you can click GO  and select Go To Folder and type ~/Library. This will open the user\Library folder.

  • How to show header value in each page same as Page field value.

    Hi there
It would be very helpful if anyone could tell us how to set header value based on the page field.
To make it more clear.. i have a field in my Rtf (which is basically a group by) so in each page it'll differ.. My Header should reflect the same as field value.
what my understanding is header wont change for each page. but ,my requirement is something like i have to show the header which is same as one of my filed value..
    for eg:
    HEADER: ABC page-1
    Field - ABC
    HEADER:XYZ page-2
    Field - XYZ
    Regards - Vijay

    Hi Haiye ,
The Pointer you gave would keep Header ABC through out all the pages in report right, actually i had tried this and got same header for all pages,
but what i need is my first page Header should be based on one of the field of Page 1, second pge Header again based on the same field, but the value may differ... (coz the page field is group by ).
Would appreciate your help on this issue!!

  • How to restrict header text changes in sales order level

    Dear Experts,
how to restrict header text changes in sales order level change mode
    thanks

    Hello Chandu,
how to restrict header text changes in sales order level change mode
In order to restrict changes to Sales Order Header Text, the appropriate User Exit would be USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_TVCOM_H. With the help of ABAPer, you can include the simple logic on the basis of Header Text type such that whenever any changes are incurred on the Sales Order header text, updates would be prevented.
Please try out this approach and let us know your latest observation on this issue.

  • How to print header in first and last  page only in SAPSCRIPT

    Hi!
How to print header in first and last  page only in SAPSCRIPT,
in between pages,  I need to print all line items in MAIN window only .
    Thanks in anticipation!
    Aki.

    Hi All,
Thanks for your early update...but my requirement here is
I have two pages (FIRST , NEXT ) First is having Header, Main and Footer
NEXT is having Main and Footer ..I am printing PO here..let us think that my PO is having 20lines items , let us assume that it takes five pages...
Now how application is printing is ..first set of data is printing in FIRST page and remainiang data distributed to 4 pages printing in NEXT page ..but what my requirement is , I need fifth page print on FIRST page, instead of NEXT page... Ultimately I need last set of data always print in FIRST ie out of 5 pages 1st print on FIRST 2nd 3rd 4th print on NEXT and 5th print again on FIRST .
hope you this will clear you.
    Thanks!

  • How to include header files from different directories?

    Hi,
Sorry for the newb question, but I can't figure this out. I'm trying to compile a simple piece of code (C++) that uses header files in a directory different from the Project directory; header files are in /opt/csw/postgresql/include/pqxx. I've tried a few different things, adding that directory to the include directives under Resource Files, add existing files from a folder, etc etc. Whenever I try to build, dmake bails with status -1. I can't seem to get this working, can someone explain how to use header files from different directories?
    Thanks,
    SlowToady

Header files are usually specified relative to a base directory. If the base directory is not a system directory -- /usr/include or the compiler installation directory -- add a command-line directive
    -I path/to/base/dirfor each such directory.
The path can be absolute, such as
    -i /opt/csw/postgresql/includeor relative, such as
-I ../../my/includeIn your source code, specify the header file relative to the base directory, and be sure to use quotes, not angle brackets. Example:
    #include "header.h"  // right
#include <header.h>  // wrongThe angle brackets are used for system headers, like <iostream> or <stdlib.h>.
The rules above are common to all compilers on Unix and Linux, and generally to all C and C++ compilers.
For more details, read about the -I option in the C++ Users Guide. You can find the guide by pointing your browser to the "docs" directory in the compiler installation, or go here:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5267
All command-line options are described in Appendix A.
