How to align "New Item" icon

Hi all,
when I add an item to a region I can see the new item icon. In some cases the icon appears on the right of the item, in other cases it appears down the item.
Is it possible to set the alignment of "new item" icon?

Hi Marco -
If you go the region properties (click the pencil icon on the region) on the attributes/style tab, the attributes section allows you to specify the order the attributes are shown in. The "New Item Indicator" is the attribute that you will want to shuffle the position in the selected attributes to put it in the same place in all region.

How to understand the "New Item" icon at the bottom of the Project window

I'm trying to understand that small "New Item" box at the bottom of the project window better. I'm aware that when I bring video clips into my project, if I drag them to this box, PPCS5 will add them to the timeline. I partially understand the positive reasons for doing so, primarily that PPCS5 will correctly identify the type of video being brought into the project. I know that if I select all my clips and drag them to the new item box, that all my clips will be added to the timeline at the same time and all together on the timeline. There are many things I don't understand about it. If I add my clips one by one using the "New Item" icon, they will show up as separate sequences on the timeline. If you try to add another clip at a later time, can that clip not be added using the "New Item" box? One other question is what would be the advantage in putting clips on the timeline as separate sequences? And one further question is do you drag other items to this box besides video clips? Like music, and still images?

Dragging something to the New Item icon doesn't just add that something to a sequence. It actually creates the correct sequence for the something to be added to.
You do this once, when you need a new sequence. Anything else you want to add to that sequence you do by other means.

'New Item' Icon

In Premiere Pro CS6 (Mac) you could drag a clip to the 'New Item' icon to automatically set it's preset.
However, when using Prmiere Pro CC (PC) I am not seeing that icon. How can one automatically set the preset as with the Mac?

Many thanks. No Sir, it is not there, it is significantly expanded. Right-clicking on any of the clips does not afford me that opportunity either....I'm clearly missing something but am at a loss to say what.

Good point, in order to add a Page into that area, you will need to define a Custom Action. You can learn more about creating Custom Actions here:

How to add new item-descriptors in ATG Merchandising 10.0.3 Browse-find tab

We are using ATG 10.0.3 and Weblogic5.
And in my project we have lots of new item descriptors in customCatalog.xml.
We are managing Catalog using ATG BCC and it populates only ATG OOTB item descriptors. So I am finding hard to configure other item descriptors in BCC to forward my work.
We configured item descriptors in CatalogBrowseTabConfiguration.properties file as well as taskConfiguration.xml. But its not working as expoected. Anybody have any idea how can we configure it in ATg10.0.3 mainly? The Configuration in ATg9 is not working in ATG 10.0.3, that is what I noticed.

How to make new item show in ASCP Plan workbench.

Item ATT.BVL3AHY is a new item without any demand. At item master, it is set as Planned so it is collected by ASCP. The item can be found in msc.msc_system_items with Plan_id -1. Plan id -1 corresponds to Collection. Planner needs to manuallty add planned order for this item at ASCP workbench of plan WIRELINE (PLAN_ID 3002) as attached but as the item cannot be found in WIRELINE plan, planner cannot add it. Please let me know how to make this item show in WIRELINE Plan workbench.

If this returns 7 you dont need to run any collections.
If this returns other than 7 then,
create a simulation set under Item Attributes Mass Maintenance and then update the attribute MRP Planning method for this item to MRP/MPP Planning. Assign Simulation set to plan name and then rerun the plan. It should work.
If you are still facing an issue, then raise an SR with Oracle.

Using JSP, how to add new items to Fuego Business Object "Group" ?

Given the classic Fuego Business Object (FBO) example of an Order, which has a few attributes (orderNumber, customerName, Order Date) and a GROUP attribute called OrderItems (ItemName, ItemPrice, etc.), I want to use a JSP to allow user to submit order. My JSP has a form and uses the Fuego Tag Library. There are FORM INPUT elements for Order.orderNumber, Order.customerName, Order.OrderDate, and a table using dynamic HTML to add rows and INPUT elements for new items to add to the GROUP attribute OrderItems - ItemName, ItemPrice, etc.)
But when the user wants to add "OrderItems" to the order, I don't know how to get Fuego to create OrderItem Objects to add to the array (aka GROUP).

Hi,
The short answer to your question is that there is no out of the box feature to support directly what you are asking for.
The problem is that JSPs receives a Fuego Object that is accessed at rendering time (JSP compilation/ HTML rendering). And then all the updated values are sent back to the engine in a new request when you hit the submit button of a FOR tag that has the postResult tag in the action attribute. At this point all these values are automatically taken from the request and the Fuego Object instance variable in the screenflow is updated.
After saying this you will notice that it doesnâ€™t make sense to update the Fuego Object instance on the JSP. Because you only could do this ate rendering time and because this instance is not going back to the engine (just the values).
Fuego Object tag Library was designed basically to be able to show Fuego Object data and invoke runs-on-server FO methods.
I see 3 different approaches to solve the problem you have:
1)Use JavaScript to call a runs-on-server method that recive the required arguments to extend the group and set the values. You should use the new tag called invokeUrl that allows you to use AjaX, in this way you could update the page with partial rendering.
2)Use JavaScritp to submit the form when the user click the add row button. And have a loop in the Screenflow with an automatic activity that will extend the group and the go back to the component activity that now will show the page again but with one more row. The drawback is that each time the user wants to add a row, it will require the entire page to be refresh.
3)Handle the table and values using JavaScritp and DHTML, and put all the new values in the request (input element), then in the Screenflow use an automatic activity to set this values to the Fuego Object.

It is not enough, if you just create an item.
It needs to be enabled for purchasing and available in the master org (inventory organization that is configured as item validating org in the Purchasing --> Financial options menu).
If you are new to apps, the best thing is to use copy item menu to create a new item or use the purchasing template to create new items.
Else, you can use, one time items (i.e only provide item descriptions in the req\po along with category) and create req\po.

New item icon in iCal suddenly appears and don't how to get rid of it.

I just figured out how to get rid of the numbers. Click Notifications on the bottom left part of the Ical screen and some blank invitations will show up. Click one and a box shows up that gives you the option of deleting the Notification/Invitation. I did that for the 4 little boxes and the number is gone.

How to display new items in a report.

I have a report that I produce weekly. Is there a way to highlight items that are new to the report that week or possibly create a summary report that shows those items? I have my training manuals and online help - I would just appreciate where to look - have been trying and cannot find anything. I also realize that this may not be possible but I thought I heard this secnario in my training.

If CR has someway to know that the data is new, you can certainly use that to highlight. Is there a field, that indicates new data, or can it be done by date posted ?
