How to Analyse SOAP traffic? (Call from PL/SQL)
Hi,
i distributed a Forte Serviceobject as SOAP Service.
I used Microsoft WebService Studio to acces the Forte 4GL Service. This tool generates the SOAP-request and you can invoke the Forte service. The Request and the response will be displayed.
Everything works fine.
Then i tried an oracle example calling the Forte Service via pl/sql http package. I used the same request (taken out of the WebServiceStudio) and i got the answer "request is not wellform".
Anyone tried the same ? Is there a possibilty to debug the incomming SOAP request ?
TIA
Martin Frenzel
Hi,
i found the problem. Now it works, so we have an easy way to call Forte Service from Oracle PL/SQL.

How to retrieve SOAP Original Header from request and response
Hi,
Does anyone know how to retrieve SOAP original header from SOAP request and response? I surfed but I'm able to see only the retrieval of SOAP custom headers via BPM mediator. Can anyone please help me regarding this? Also Please tell me how to check the headers in the Enterprise Manager.HI Chandra,
Thanks for your suggestions.
But i think in my case we do not want to get the complete list. We still want to get only 100 items initially and then if the user would scroll down he/she would see more items. But we already need to know the total number of items for the purpose of showing a message to the user. For e.g. Total issues (515), but the table would initially show only 100 and then another 100 after scroll. So setting the size litmit to max would not help.
And to be able to use the $count you mentioned, we have to still make another oData service call which we do not want.
But as i mentioned there is already a property named "__count" in the response of the bindItems() method call and i see that it has correct count but not sure how to retrieve it inside the controller. Thanks.
Regards,
Ashish -

How can I make a call from IPad
Oh, you have to get the iPhone app.
Seriously, though .... you are aware that it's not a telephone, right? Any calls you make will be using VOIP and any of the apps and/or services (Skype, Google Talk, etc., etc.) which support that. Some of those are US-only, all have various restrictions and cost structures. -

How can i hide incoming calls from showing on my screen
How can I stop incoming calls from showing on my home screen?
If you just don't want to see the call notification on your home screen go to Settings, Notification, Phone and turn Notification Center to Off. Or you can simply select None and calls will be listed in the Notification center but you won't see a banner / alert on the home screen.
This also eliminates the Caller ID from being displayed before you answer the call. -
How Can I make redirect caller from agent to any branch IVR?
I have IPCC Enterprise Edition (ICM 5.0, IVR 3.1)
How can I make redirect caller from agent to chosen branch IVR, and send with call any variable to IVR (e.g. account number).

KrzysztofI would suggest that post-routing should not be used. The way to go is to use translation routing applications. Although post-routing is easy to set up, almost all deployments require translation routing. I can't think of anything good to say about post routing, other than it's trivial to configure.
You want the main route point to be on the CM_PIM.RC for a number of reasons. You can check to see which of your IVRs are on line, and/or to do load balancing. If calls don't need to go to the IVR if agents are ready, you can have an LAA Select node immediately, and then translation route. Even if you just have one IVR, translation routing will enable you to do RONA more easily.
You need to bite the bullet and learn translation routing. If you do it that way, peripheral variables attached to the call remain unaffected whether the call is under the control of the CM_PIM.RC or the IVR_PIM.RC. This is exactly what you want.
There is no need, in my opinion, to go to an external database. In your IVR, decisions made by the caller (e.g. which "skill" they want) set peripheral variables. When the call comes out of this script you check the peripheral variable, and depending on the value do a queue to the appropriate skill group and run external script (BasicQ.aef).
Separate the intelligence gathering IVR script from the Queuing script. Allow ICM to make the routing decisions. -

How to set an Application Item from PL/SQL
I am attempting to set an Application Item
After login to my app, I want to retrieve a row from my SETTINGS table and populate some Application Items with the settings information so that I can
display some of that settings information on every page.
Just to start, I created one Application Item named F106_YEAR
I then created a Shared Components Application Process which executes on New Session: After Authentication
I created this process as an Anynomous PL/SQL block.
declare
aucyr varchar(4);
begin
select year into auctyr
from settings;
:F106_YEAR := aucyr;
end;
I've tried a couple of other Syntax tricks attempting to reference the Application Item F106_YEAR from within PL/SQL (like V('F106_YEAR') but nothing seems to be working.
I'm sure that I am missing something simple. Can someone tell me how to set an Application Item from PL/SQL?
Thanks in advance.I'm still doing something wrong because this is not working for me.
I've tried both of the following versions as an Application Process set to run on New Session after Authentication:
declare
auction_year varchar(4);
begin
select year into auction_year
from PBUUC.SETTINGS where rownum < 2;
:F106_AUCTION_YEAR:=auction_year;
end;
and I also tried:
declare
auction_year varchar(4);
begin
select year into auction_year
from PBUUC.SETTINGS where rownum < 2;
APEX_UTIL.SET_SESSION_STATE (p_name, p_value);
end;
F106_YEAR is a global Item (shared components).
The select statement works just fine in SQL*PLUS so I know that it is correct.
If I run the debugger and log into the application, here is the output. Shouldn't I see my Application Process get called if it is set to run on New Session after Validation?
My Application process is named RETRIEVE_AUCTION_SETTINGS

How displaying an alert message called from a database procedure
Hi,
How can I display an alert message that is called from a database procedure.
I've tried the following code:
l_al_button NUMBER;
l_al_message VARCHAR2(80);
l_al_id ALERT;
Set_Alert_Property(l_al_id, alert_message_text,l_al_message);
l_al_Button := show_alert(l_al_id);
When trying I receive an error that says that the word ALERT need to be declared.
Any suggestions?
ThanksHi,
leave the procedure without error handling.
This is what you can do:
1.Inside the database procedure-
BEGIN
RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR (-20001, 'The chosen length of the Public Key Exponent ....');
END;
2.Into your Form -
BEGIN
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
IF sqlcode = '-20001' THEN
Display Your Messages.
END IF;

END; -

How can I remove "skype caller" from caller id
When I make calls from Skype I don't mind if it shows my phone number, but would prefer the customer I'm calling don't see that it's from a "skype caller" as this startles some customers I do business with. Can I have that wording removed and replace it with my name?
On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your iPhone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

I think you may be able to work around the problem by adding
" supplementary-service h450.12 " under voice service voip on your CME router as a quick fix.

How can I disconnect one caller from a conference call?
I am not able to disconnect one call from a conference call. I have tried everything and do not wish to end both calls, just one.
I'd love to clarify this information bdgooden. Unfortunately, your only option is to disconnect all lines. The other parties on the phone call can disconnect the line to end the call, but you only have the option of disconnecting all calls or waiting for the other party to end.
Thank you,
