How to append work numbers to lync clients

could anyone explain me how to set this up:
I have 2 users in a test environment
the standard for danish tel number seems to be eg. +45 12345678
i want to append 20304050 to user1 and 20304051 to user 2, with extension 9000 & 9001
what is the exact tel uri i need to use, and how do i set up nomalization for these to be able to call eachother, i have looked at various guides and examples, but i simply dont get the system behind. my goal is to be able to call out via enterprise voice.
any help would be greatly aprecciated.
my setup includes:
doman lynclab1.local
lync fe on 10.10.21.2
ad on 10.10.21.1
user1 on 10.10.21.3
user2 on 10.10.21.4
mediation with 2nics 10.10.21.5 & 192.168.1.8 for external access.
at this time i havent set up the pstn gateway, is this crucial for my users to call eachother by number internally, at this time im only able to call by username.

I would think:
tel:+4520304050;ext=9000
and
tel:+4520304051;ext=9001
Create a normalization rule like this:
Description: Extensions
Starting digits: 900
Length: Exactly 4
Digits to remove: 3
Digits to add: +452030405
With this, the users could call each other by dialing the extension, and outbound enterprise voice calls would look like the E.164 +45xxxxxxxx number.

i have set up these parameters, but i am still not able to call between 2 internal users by using extensions. i havve also tried pushing the address book, without any result.

    Out customer has following infrastructure:
    One Standard edition FE Lync Server 2010. IP PBX not yet integrated with Lync.
    They want to hide work phone numbers in Lync Address book. I played a lot with ABSConfig, deleted all entries with phone, etc. Update-CsUserdatabase, Update-csaddressbook. Forced clients 2010, 2013 to update their address book, but numbers appear again.

    You can try to change privacy relationship of your contacts to the "External contacts" or "Blocked contacts", by default your colleagues will be set to "Colleagues" group and the federated partner contacts will be set to "External contacts".

    How does call flow from Lync client to Lync mobile client happens , how sign-in happens?  how call flow both A/V happens and IM  happens...?

    A/V call goes through Lync Edge Server while IM doesn’t.

  • How to distribute certificates to the Lync Clients

    Hya,
    I have found plenty of documentation on how to request the certificate.
    But when it comes to handing out certificates to the client machines, I'm a bit stuck.
    We have standalone CA and therefore I cant create templates and auto assign the certificate to client machines using Active Directory.
    what is the best way to hand out the certificate to end users?

    If End user join domain, you didn't need to distributed certificate. because certificate assign automatic to this user.
    If End User is WorkGroup or out of office, In this case he sign in using Public certificate which is assigned and publish on Edge and he will sign in automatic without need to distributed certificate.
    In case you didn't buy public certificate for edge server and use private certificate, you will need to distributed certificate manual for all WorkGroup machine to get them trusted and sign in to Lync.

  • Lync 2013 does not show normalized numbers in the client contact card.

    We are migrating from OCS 2007 to Lync 2013. Everything runs now in side by side topology.
    I have problems with contacts numbers shown in the Lync client.
    I've moved "Company_Phone_Number_Normalization_Rules.txt" file from OCS server to Lync. All rules works fine there, after running update-csaddressbook , Invalid_AD_Phone_Numbers.txt file is empty (no errors).
    We are using this format in AD for users: (613) 123-4567 Xdddd
    Normalization rule is:
    (\s*)\(?\s*(613)\s*\)?[\s()\-\./]*(123)[\s()\-\./]*(4567)[,\s\w]*(\d\d\d\d)
    +$5
    So it will normalize phone (613) 123-4567 X5656 to +5656 (We need it this way because we are using phone control)
    Problem is that this normalized phone does not shown in Lync client, but it perfectly works in old OCS environment.

    I've replaced my old rule with one that you wrote, and it works as it should (ABServer.exe -testphonenorm 
    recognize it in the right way). Thank you for this advice!
    Then I run update-csaddressbook, removed .db and .idx files from user, re-lunched Lync client..but this number still not shown.
    Here are results of  Get-CsAddressBookConfiguration

    It looks strange, number can be normalized, but it's not shown for the user.

  • How to force the Lync Client to a specific server in the pool

    I am troubleshooting an issue and need my client to connect to a specific server in my enterprise pool.
    I have tried a host fie, I have deleted the EndpointConfiguration.CACHE file and I still cannot get my client to connect to the specific front end.
    Can anyone tell me how to do this?

    Using a host file should definitely work and I do this all the time for testing. 
    Are you using manual or automatic configuration? If it's manual then make sure that the name you specified resolves to the correct IP address by using PING.
    If you are using automatic, use NSLOOKUP to determine what hostname it's trying to connect to and repeat the above.
    This could either be sip.domain.com (as Edwin mentioned) or it could be the name of your Front End pool, depending on how it's configured.
    The other thing you might want to try if everything looks correct and if you modified your HOSTS file while Lync was open, is just to Exit and re-open the Lync client.

    You can try to change the Lync Profile name. After you do it, Lync will create a new Profile. The Lync Profile path is following:
    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync
    If the issue persists, please repair Office 2013 and then test again.

  • Skill Search works fine from search center, but it doesn't work from Lync client

    My environment consists of Lync Server 2013 and SharePoint Server 2013.
    I configured skill search and it works fine from search center, but it doesn't work from Lync client. An error appears says"error occurred during the search, please try again".
    I configured these URLs in my client policy
    set-csclientpolicy -identity global -spsearchinternalurl http://<Sharepoint Server>/_vti_bin/search.asmx
    set-csclientpolicy -identity global -spsearchcenterinternalurl http://<Sharepoint Server>/searchcenter/pages/peopleresults.aspx
    I checked these URLs from the browser and they work fine.
    I disabled anonymous access to _vti_bin, but no change then i checked lync log but i didn't find any error then i used Wireshark and found that when Lync client contacts Sharepoint, Sharepoint responded to it with internal server error http 500
    Please advice for what to do

    my 2 cents - in short summary.
    these is no difference in CMS replication in case of 2 FE or 3 FE or max of FE in a pool of lync server. the CMS replication mechanism is the same.
    CMS - it's a repository to store management data ie Topology, configurations and policies inform of xml documents in the data called XDS (Xml Data Store) in SQL.
    CMS is implemented using three Windows services:
    1. Lync server File Transfer Afent ( FTA )
    2. Lync server Master Replicator Agent ( MRA )
    3. Lync server Replica Replicator Agent ( RRA )
    Workflow
    1. MRA generates data packages in to-replica as needed
    2. MRA has change notifications on from-replica to pickup status packages coming in from replica
    3. FTA has change notifications on to-replica for all replicas on the Master to pickup data packages going out to the replicas
    4. All replicas
    \xds-replica\from-master">\\<replica>\xds-replica\from-master to pickup data packages coming in from master

    The Work phone number which I deleted is not reflected in Lync Client. It's been more than 48 hours since I deleted the work phone number in AD.  But still the same number listed in the lync contact card. Client policy has been set to 'File download
    only' and Lync client Galcontacts.db has the present date so no issues in downloading the address book file.
    I did the following but the issue is same. 
    >> Forced the address book by shell commands in Lync server to get the new full file generated but no luck after.
    >> Added 'GalDownloadInitialDelay' reg key but still issue persists. 
    >> Deleted all suggested contacts, frequent contacts from outlook contacts and also deleted the 'ContactStateCacheU' registry key but no luck.
    Please let me know if anyone has this issue fixed.

    So the user is EV enabled and has a LineURI.  Is that LineURI number the same number that you removed from AD? For example:
    1. I removed (555) 555-1212 from my Work Number AD field for John Doe
    2. John Doe has a LineURI of tel:+15555551212
    If so, that is expected.  LineURIs are also taken into consideration when building a user's contact card.   If you do not want this number to show up in the GAL, you will need to look at a
    private line for that user.

  • How Can I move contact users saved on lync client 2010 to lync client 2013 ?

    i did a migration between lync 2013 and lync 2010 everything done ok 
    now when move the users from the lync 2010 pool to new pool  and sign in  with my user i couldn't  see any contact on my old list 
    there was DBIMPEXP.exe tool but this tool not exist in lync 2013
    i took a backup for all users but how can i restored them to new client
    the backup file on lync 2010 is "xml"
    and in the lync 2013 is "zip"

    Lync Server 2013 Preview has deprecated the use of DBIMPEXP.exe. 
    There are now native Lync Mangement Server cmdlets to provide the equivalent.
    You can use the command convert-csuserdata to convert between a 2010 XML file provided from DBIMPEXP.exe and a ZIP file provided from Export-CSUserData.

    Goto SE71, enter form name--> click change
    1) click in page window command button, Identify the header and footer window
    2) single click on Header window and click change button(pencil symbol)
    3) identify the fields and change order of the fields
