How to argue about cencorship on a post I made?

Hi,
Earlier today I made a post http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8070448#8070448 and it was edited (censored) by a moderator.
I was merely arguing the level of necessity for a feature and my willingness to void my warranty (it is well within my rights as a customer since the device is meant to accept any interference, even such as that it may not be made to accept) so long as I can use the device to it's full extent.
I was not using derogatory expressions, foul language or linked to any material otherwise deemed to breach the terms of use of the forums.
Even so, my post was edited straight away.
In order to avoid such embarassment in the future can you please provide me with instructions on how to handle similar situations?

It is sad that though hierarchically positioned under +Apple.com > Support > Discussions > Using Apple Discussions > Feedback about Discussions+ there is no actual way for any paying customer to get any real feedback from the personnel assigned by apple to tackle support issues.
As for calming down, rest assured I am fully aware personal feelings are meant to be left at the door when entering any kind of online forum otherwise no number of moderators would be able to keep a forum in order.
Leaving Feedback will get you nowhere as experience serves and even though I have Purchased AppleCare packages and attempted to communicate in the suggested ways I still got nothing from Apple to show for this.
I suppose I might as well delete my initial post (which will probably take down the thread with it) or just leave the thread to die with my question unanswered...
Either way, thanks to all of you for trying to explain to me that ultimately there is no way of handling such issues.
As for apple, rest assured this hiccup will not overshadow any of my future purchases, I'll just assume there is no customer care and act on my own.
So far no Apple computer or portable device has presented a single fault so I am happy to cut all ties with the "support" section of this company.

How to delete depreciation areas when a posting is made in asset accounting

Hi All,
We are implementing asset accounting to few of our company codes as a new company code start up project. We have opened depreciation areas for tax for one company code and found that we are not going to use this company code for asset accounting.
We have already opened 2 depreciation areas one for tax and the other as difference between book and tax depr in our development client. One of our member has created an asset and posted values to it. Now, we were told that we dont need to open the depreciation areas. When i am trying to delete it system giving error message saying you cannot delete the derived depr as the values have already been posted.
Please advice how i should proceed with the above issue for deleting the depreciation areas. Your help is much appreciated.

For the below mentioned issue do the following:
1) reset all the depreciation data ( t code OAGL)
2) reset all the asset account co code data (t code OABL)
then u can go and delete the depreciation areas.

How to go about pursuing Contact Center

Hello,
I wish to pursue Contact Center and CVPI.
I would like to know what are the per-requisite for these specialized voice course.
Kindly suggest a path of different technologies needed for UCCE.
ICM and IP IVR are separate module or are they covered in dept in CVPI or UCCE?
Please suggest how to go about pursuing my goal.

UCCE is an umbrella solution that includes ICM (central controllers, PGs, AW, HDS) as ACD, then you have CVP as the IVR working with VXML GWs, CUCM as PBX, CUIC for reporting (or 3rd party), Finesse or CTI OS, or CAD for agent desktop, optional CUSP as SIP proxy and bunch of 3rd parties if needed for call recording, workfrce management, wallboard, etc, etc.
ICM can also run outside of UCCE integrated with 3rd party ACDs, but this is more rare in recent years.

Webservices for EJB How to go about it

Here is my situation please advice me how to go about it...
I have to expose EJB as a webservices...That EJB is already packed in jar file it has nearly 20 methods or so and the application server that i need to use is weblogic....The problem is many of the methods return java.util.Map and java.util.Collection...and the contents of the all the Maps are not of the same type all the time i mean if Method1 returns Map whose key is String and Values is user defined data type (for instance dataType1)...Method2 also returns a Map whose key is a String and values is another User Defined data type(for instance dataType2)..
I tried with weblogic servicegen and WSEE 109 manually building it but that did not work out....Right now my idea is to write wrapper class which has all the 20 methods but return user defined data type(which i have to write).Internally each method will be calling the corresponding method in EJB..If this is the case for each method i have to create different User defined data type....Is this feasible or is there better way of doing it....

How do I default valuation area to post all valuation area in TBB1 or TBB4

Dear All,
How do I default valuation area to 'Post All Valuation Area' when I run TBB1 or TBB4 or any other Treasury T-Code (that has these 2 valuation areas as option)? Currently, by default, SAP is pointing to Post Operative Area. What is required by the user is to post ALL Treasury transactions to All Valuation Areas. Therefore, they have to remember to change from 'Post Operative Area' to 'Post All Valuation Area'. If they do not change this, it will be a mistake and they have to reverse the transaction and re-post again.
We have suggested to them to use Variants but again, they have to remember to choose the correct variant when they use these T-codes. Otherwise, the same thing will happen - wrong posting -> they have to reverse and re-post. Or, is there an option where we can default a variant when they use these T-codes?

Hi,
In all standard transactions the default option will be to post to operative valuation area only.
I can think of a round about solution. Create a variant for TBB1 and save it with name space CUS& which means it is a customer created variant and also it will be transported to other systems by default. In this variant choose the option post all valuation area.
Then create a Z transaction for TBB1 with this variant as default in SE93. Now when you execute that Z transaction you will have post all valuation areas by default.
Please let me know if you can find a better solution.

Can you provide more details about your requirement? It would make others easier to find a solution for you.
By default, a workflow will be triggered after submitting data in the NewForm or EditForm.
If you want to monitor the value changed in a drop down menu which is supposed to be in NewForm or EditForm, it would be more appropriate to apply custom JavaScript in the NewForm
or EditForm page.
About how to detect the value changed using JavaScript, the demos in this thread would be helpful:

This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. It is probably one of them who created the Apple ID.

Does anyone know of a VI or how to go about writing one that will prevent the computers clock/time from being disabled while an application is running. The time and date can normally be reset while an application is running by clicking on the time/date in the lower right-hand corner of the computer screen. I have an application that runs over several days and it is critical that the time and date of the computer not be changed. Is there an easy way to lock this out from the user? Note that I am what I consider an advanced beginner in LV.

That is not something you can do from LabVIEW, as it is an operating system operation, and it will depend on the operating system that you're using. On Windows you can use a group policy to control this. Please Google on "prevent time and date change in windows".

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use an Apple wall-mount charger. Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
According to Apple:
Use Your iPod Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

Where can I get help with partitioning my hard drive? I have a "non-genuine" version of windows that I need to replace but I have not a clue how to go about doing that.

I love my mac, but I unfortunately have to also run windows because of engineering software. I bought windows 7 at my campus computre store and one year later my computer is telling me that my software is "non-genuine." I need to fix this asap, but my computer store refuses to do anything because a year has passed. Microsoft wont help because I have a Mac.
My question is, where can I go to find someone who can help me uninstall the "non-genuine" windows 7 and replace it with a functional one?
Im allowed a free download of windows 7 because I'm still a student, but I have no clue how to go about uninstalling and reinstalling windows.

This kind of question is best asked in the Windows Forums, however I've had some succession with a similar issue myself.
Non-Genuine Windows means that it can't authenticate your copy of Windows.
It's not a problem, all your need is a genuine product key code. Provided you don't have different version of Windows 7 installed to the one you are buying (for example windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 business) Then you can use the new key code.
Click on the Start Button and type: CMD (into the 'Search programs and files' field in the Start Menu)
The Start Menu will show 'CMD.exe',
Right-click the CMD.exe file and select Run As Administrator.
In the CMD window, type: slmgr.vbs -ipk <type your product key here>
To activate windows after changing the key, type: slmgr.vbs -ato
It should now accept the new key code and you will need to be connected to the Internet to authenticate.
If by chance the windows 7 types are different (One is Home premium say and the other is Business) then you will need to uninstall that copy of Windows 7 and install the new one. If your using BootCamp then you will need to go into BootCamp under system preferences and remove that copy of Windows (delete it)
Then create a new setup with your new Windows 7 disk.
For me I had the same type of windows, changing the product code worked. Saved me the bother of having to reinstall Windows again and it was all genuine.

I am working on a bonus project for one of my courses. However, I am a bit lost.... I just dont know how to go about doing it. I mean, I have some ideas but I am SURE there is a more elegant way of doing it.
Option 1
1) Design a visual tool that will allow the user to interactively create a syntax graph.
2) The tool will then convert the syntax graph to Extended BNF
Option 2
1) Design a tool to read Extended BNF grammar and convert it into syntax graph.
I am leaning on doing Option 2.... any insights will be much appreciated.

1. First off SHTEST and SHDISC schemas should reside on the same database. 2. You have to create end user layer in your SHDISC schema (you should give the rights required) using Discoverer Administrator tool. EUL tables get created in SHDISC schema.
3. Using Discoverer Administrator you need to pull the structures from SHTEST. Once you open your Discoverer Administrator, you will see a little window with "Administration Tasklist".
Anyways, the best place to get information related to this is from Discoverer Administration Guide. Then you might want to checkout the details on reporting tool Discoverer Plus/Discoverer Viewer or Discoverer Desktop based on what you choose for building your reports.
