Hello, we recently shot a wedding using three different cameras (with inner clocks synced).  Now I need to combine them into one folder and arrange in correct sequence according to date/time taken.  Can't figure this out.  Using Photoshop full version.

  • How To Arrange Folders ??

Im wondering if this is possible on my macbook as I'm sick of changing everything manually.
Please excuse the poor explanation but i will try my best to explain what my problem is.
When i create a folder and put 20/30 jpeg pictures into it they are not arranged by name automatically and this goes for any folder i create with documents , music or PDF files. I rename them all but yet for each individual folder i have i need to select everything and then change the settings in my   "View / Show View Options"
Is there a much quicker way that i can select all the folders / files and have each one set to "Arrange By Name" with the correct size & spacing also ?
As i say i need to do this manually for each folder is going to take me days to do and i don't want to carry on doing this with each folder i make.
As you can see this always shows that "None" is selected and i need to change it to "Name"
Can anyone help me sort this out with ? ? ?

  • How to arrange documents by specific date?

I really want to arrange my school word documents by specific date (e.g. October 16th) rather than more vague dates (e.g. last 30 days). Any way I can do this?
    Thanks!

I assume the documents you wish to arrange are all in one folder? If so, you can arrange them using the View -> Clean Up By / Arrange By options.

You can only arrange albums by name or manually. So you would have to make the data a part of the name, if you want to sort by date. It might help to group the albums in folders by year or so.

When I see the term "Custom" I think of the Enterprise Business Suite (EBS).  Are you working with the EBS?  If so, the EBS has built-in methods for using a Calendar.  I suggest you look at the Oracle Applications Documentation for your version of EBS and look at the Developers Guide in the User Interface, Development, and Personalization section.
If you are NOT working with the EBS, please tell us where you got the Calendar you are trying to use.

    Hi,
You can use the date object FormsCentral provides. When you test the form in browser, the date field will show a pulldown calendar when clicked upon.

  • How to arrange pictures other than by date

How to arrange pictures other than by date

You can select a folder of images or a batch and create an album. You can then drag the photos around and they remain fixed in your chosen order within the album.
Also if you switch from thumbnail view (click the display button near top right in Organizer) to Folder Location view and select an individual folder from the left hand pane, the files will usually be displayed in file name order.

    Hi All,
is there a way to add time field in the date calender, so that the user can set the time and select the date, then return the date/time to the specified field?
or is there any slandered calender that has this functionality?

    Hi Mahdi ,
If you are working on standard page then you can create a new item by personalization and set the DataType as : DATETIME it will display
date as well as time .
For custom page - you can create a new item as desired in anywhere in page and set the DataType as : DATETIME it will show both time
    and date .
Is this what you looking for ?

how to arrange photos in camera roll datewise its not showing datewise please let me know

Bear with me a minute. You're confusing a lot of things.
    1. As Larry says, on Windows you are using a File Manager for you your photos. All well and good if it works for you, but limited. Why? Because it doesn't leverage any of the extra information available with photos files. Essentially, a File Manager doesn't distinguish between a photo nd a Word file or a Music file. They are just files.
    2. Photo Managers like iPhoto (Or Picasa, Aperture, Lightroom et al) work differently. They are designed to leverage the additional information available in the photo file. Case in point: Date. In the File Manager you have folders created for Year/Month/Day. In iPhoto the pics are grouped into Events automatically. These Events are based on the date and time the Photos were taken, and which is recorded in the Exif metadata for the photo file.
As we all know, when one downloads pictures from a camera, their"names" appear as a bunch of letters and the number indicating thesequence.
These are Filenames assigned by the Camera. In iPhoto you don't change Filenames you edit Titles. Titles are quite independent of filenames and are an entry in the Exif metadata.
I'm not sure what you've done in the renaming sequence, but iPhoto does not have a Sort -> by Name command. There is a Sort By Title command.
But you would not use Events for this job anyway. You would use an Album. Create an Album, drag the pics to it and then you can sort them in any order you want, manually. Then using the Batch Change Command you can create a sequence for them. So, Title the pics 'House Sale' and check the box to append  number and the result:
House Sale 01, House Sale 02 etc

  • Batch place pictures in files according to date

I really like the way PhotoDownloader imports pictures, placing them in folders according to when they were taken.
How can I do the same thing, only instead of downloading from a camera I am moving the pictures from an external hard drive in the "Pictures" folder of my Mac Hard Drive?

If the external HD does not show in the source panel you can't do that. However, if the files contain exif data (most of the files taken with a dslr do contain that) you can simply point Bridge to the folder of that HD, let it cache and after that you can simply rename the files using the option date created and choose the preferred date option.
After this all your files will have the date in front of the file. If you have chosen yyyymmdd you could also choose to create folders for each date and drag and drop the files to them. I archive my Raw files based on daily folders and creating them for a whole year takes only 15 minutes using the tab and arrow keys with copy paste.

  • How can I transfer all my data including SMS to my mac/windows computer?

My friend has asked me to help her transfer all the data from her iPhone 3GS to a computer then to a hard drive. She has several folders with pictures in but image capture on mac is only picking up the one. I have an iPhone 4S and iPad 3 installed already on iTunes so don't want to accidentally erase her phone.
She also needs some of the SMS messages taking off of her phone and saving either as they are or in some form of text file so they are readable in the future.
How can I retrieve all this data including the messages without losing anything and can it be done for free?
If you need anymore info please just ask and I'll try and pass it on to the best of my (limited) knowledge.
    Thanks in advance!

SHe can also do a backup of her phone and it will save the text message, but she won't be able to view the text unless she restores to the backup.

  • When I create a calendar, in iphoto 8, I had an information pane lower left corner with date and time of the picture. Can it possibly be that the iphoto developers forgot about that in iphoto 9? This was very helpful when placing images according to date.

Today I updated to the latest iphoto version. The update itself went smooth and nice as one is used to from Apple. But when I wanted to finish my already started calendar, I have encountered two problems. The first is that I can't view the aperture library anymore directly from iphoto. Instead I have to open the iphtoto library in aperture but then my calendar isn't there. So now I have to copy images back and forth. No problem.
However, the old iphoto had a small information area in the lower left corner which was very nice to place images on an exact date. This seems to be gone...?? Really? How am I supposed to sort images according to date and time when I have to back to the library view every time? That's not very convenient..Or am I missing something?
    Thanks for ANY help!
    Patrick

The first is that I can't view the aperture library anymore directly from iphoto.
THat is exceeding strange since iPhoto '08 could not open or share an Aperture library - that ability was first introduced in iPhoto '11 - with the latest version of iPhoto and or Aperture you can open the same library with either application - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5043
In the current version of iPhoto the photos are sorted by date in the film strip - I've not recently done a calendar so do not remember the specifics -

  • How to move all or partial data from Mac to an external hard disk?

    Hei,
I need to learn how to move the movies/projects/events from mac hard drive to another external hard drive.
So basically, I have always imported all events from my video camera (the original clips) to iMovie located in my MacBook Pro hard drive. But after videoing for one year, the hard disc is starting to get full, and I cannot continue using only the laptop's hard drive.
So I would like to move part OR all of my iMovie related stuff to another external disk drive (connected with USB wire). How do I do that? Is it possible to have some events located in Mac's own hard drive, and some clips/projects in the external hard disk? How to arrange all this?
I know that "projects" are linked to the original event clips, so if I would be able to export some part of my iMovie data to the external hard drive, I should export both, for example, everything from the same year (the events) which is linked to the projects that are using those data.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

ok First with IM9, you can easily move stuff around. Here are some lessons learned from my experience managing projects across 6 different drives.
    1. All Drives must be formatted macos extended journaled
    2. The large terabyte drives are great for long term storage of events
    3. When you are working on a project, if possible, try to move the clips the current clips you will need to your internal hard drive. This is only necessary if you care about any time machine back ups.
    4. I have also worked on project straight from the external drives. I also use portable drives such as WD passports. These are small 500 gig drives that can travel with you. I have three of those. LOVE THEM.
    5. One way to move projects and clips and keep things organized is to move the project using command drag. It will ask, do you want to move just the project or project and clips. Then voila all clips and project are then moved to that drive!
    6. REMEMBER...MOVE WITHIN IMOVIE using COMMAND Drag. NEVER EVER USE THE FINDER. This is for both projects and events. Using the Command Key will ensure the projects are moved and not just copied!
    7. Last but not least, if you have changed the dates of events using change date function in imovie....For some reason, there is a bug. It inconsistently will change the date. Don't know why and have reported the issue, but it is still not fixed!
But its still a great little app!
