Hi there, if there is text in the body of the email it will print automatically when sent to an ePrint email address. The only way to just have the attachment print is for there to be no text in the email body.

The following module moves data to control
    MODULE MOVE_TO_CONTROL.--> Move data from ITAB to table control
ENDLOOP.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
LOOP AT GT_CTRL_LP_D516.
ENDLOOP.
MODULE EXIT AT EXIT-COMMAND.
MODULE USER_COMMAND_0001. --> Here you have to take out the values from table control and update database table

How to measure thermocouple in lab view and save the data..

hi.. i am using my DAQ with 2 analog channels.. i need to acquire signal from thermo couple i have T type thermo couple with brown jacket.. i have connected the thermocoupe in ai0.. and i selected the thermocouple type... when i select the built in option.. it shows some error.. then if i use cjc value as constant 25 its working.. but the signal acquired is not matching well.. it show huge variation.. some times it goes for -20 and maximum of 60 which is not possible at all...just in air medium i checked it... when i used infrared thermometer it shows around 24 C... kindly help me.. i have attached the screen shot of the block diagram panel... and acquired signal..

Hi,
You hooked up to the analog inputs on your device correctly. Thermocouples measure the difference in temperature between the DAQ and the location where the wires are welded together. They need to be insulated thermally and electrically in-between. Thermocouples have very low response compared to the normal 10 volt DAQ range. Type T is only 43 uV/C (thats 0.000043V compared to 10 volts). To see if the thermocouple is working, you need to heat up the welded end. They measure 0 V when the welded end is at room temperature. Type T only goes up to a few hundred C, so be careful, but you can probably wave a lighter under it to see if it's working. You might try the audio in on your device. You don't need a high sampling rate and it may have a better amplifier and dynamic range.
To get absolute temperature you need to offset the thermocouple reading from the DAQ temperature (room temp usually). You could do this by measuring it with your IR thermometer. Check into the NI 9211 and simliar which are much better suited to thermocouple measurements.

If I got your point correctly, you may use the function module SO_OBJECT_CREATE. Take a look at the thread below for an example on how to use it.

LV7 How to click on an xy chart and identify the data point selected

I have an xy chart displaying a time chart showing points when faults were identified, and want the user to be able to touch the plot area and for that data point to be identified so that the main display can be switched to the appropriate data.
I have a solution where I drag the cursor to the required point then use Mouse Up event to read the cursor value, then search the data array for the matching cursor value and get the solution.
However this is on a touch screen UI and dragging to cursor does not work very well. What I would like is to be able to convert the mouse position (relative to the full screen) and convert this to the position on the plot area that is given by the cursor position.

f someone could tell me how to get the screen position of the plot area rather than the full bounds of the xy control I think I could do it.

Yes, I agree it is not very pratical. I would prefer if the true x,y coordinates could be obtained directly in the event structure.
In addition to the "Coords" terminal, we also need a terminal that provides the coordinates directly in the true plot units. That would definitely be very useful.
Make sure to suggest it to NI (I have, long ago!).

Has anyone managed to successfully receive the content code in their email for a free ugprade to Mountain Lion?
I bought my MBP on 14 July so I qualified for the free upgrade. Went to the website and filled in the form along with my serial number about 2 nights ago. Still haven't received my content code yet. How long does it take? Should I be speaking to someone already? Who?

I have one requirement where I need to show attachment to user even if He is not logged in.
We created Function which return Attachment File URL using seeded API.
When we paste that URL in browser it asks for login for Oracle Apps version 11i but for version R12 when we do the same the attachment gets downloaded.

   In addition to what Camelot and nobody loopback point out, one must also consider the fact that UNIX text tools are largely line based. You also fail to tell us for what kind of text you are searching. If you are looking for multiple words, there's a very good chance of finding the expression wrapped onto different lines. With hyphenation, even single words can wrap to multiple lines. Tools that search line-by-line will miss these unless you use multiline techniques.
   Multiline substitutions require that you write "read-ahead" code for the command line tool that you're using and that you take that into account in the substitution. Given how you want the results to be printed out, you may also want to preserve any newlines found in the match, which is even more difficult. That could bring up the subject of line endings but that's a completely different topic.
   I apologize if this sounds discouraging. Multiline searches aren't needed that often and in most of those cases, exceptions can be dealt with by hand. I just didn't want you to get surprised by it. To give you an idea of how easy basic substitution is, have a look at Tom Christiansen's Cultured Perl: One-liners 102 and One-liners 101. Both have some "in-place" substitution examples.

Goto SE51 and design your screen.
For each control specify the name. For a few controls you need to specify the function codes as well. Until you specify all the mandatory details the controls will remain pink.
When you are done, Save and Activate.
Click on Flow Logic button.
Specify the modules you want to use in PBO and PAI.
In the program declare data objects having same name as your screen fields.
When you enter data in the screen fields, the values are automatically stored in the data objects you declared having the same name.
If you want to insert the details into a ztbl, simply use insert queries and pass data using the data objects you have defined.
If you are going for BDC:
First ensure that your screens and code work correctly. Then do the BDC recording for one value. Modify the recorded program according to your requirement.

How to make a button to stop and run a for loop? and if it is stopped it shall start from where i t stopped.

Your VI has some very fundamental flaws.
The start/stop button is outside the FOR loop, thus it will NOT get read during execution of the FOR loop, but only before the FOR loop starts. Think dataflow!
Thus the terminal of the start/stop button belongs inside the FOR loop.
Your FOR loop iterates 20x, which probably takes about a nanosecond. You will NOT be fast enough to reliably press the start/stop button during a specific iteration of the FOR loop.
Your code does not "stop and run" a FOR loop (sic). The loop always spins, but executes an empty case when "Stopped". I guess that's what you actually want?
Once you solve (2), the x indicator will contain a random value whenever you "stop".
As soon as the 20 iterations complete, the outer while loop spin an things start over, another nanosecond later.
Place e.g. a 500ms wait inside the FOR loop to solve this.
Don't place terminals of indicators on top of formula nodes.
Your formula does not produce any output, so really has no purpose.
Use a real "stop" button to terminate the while loop (mechanical action: latch when released). Right now you are using a plain switch, which does not reset to false before the next run. This means that you need to manually reset it before running the program again.
It is oftern useful to operate the VI in execution highlighting mode. You will immediately see that your button does not get read during execution of the FOR loop. Try it!

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How to code a parallel 'for loop' and 'while loop' where the while loop cannot terminate until the for loop has finished?? (queues also present)

I've attached a sample VI that I just cannot figure out how to get working the way that I want. I've labeled the some sections with black-on-yellow text boxes for clarity during the description that follows in the next few sentences. Here's what I want:
1) overall -- i'm intend for this to be a subVI that will do data acquisition and write the data to a file. I want it to use a producer/consumer approach. The producer construct is the 'parallel for loop' that runs an exact number of times depending on user input (which will come from the mainVI that is not included). For now I've wired a 1-D array w/ 2 elements as a test case. During the producer loop, the data is acquired and put into a queue to be delt with in the consumer loop (for now, i just add a random number to the queue).
2) the consumer construct is the 'parallel while loop'. It will dequeue elements and write them to a file. I want this to keep running continuously and parallel until two conditions are met.
      i. the for loop has finished execution
      ii. the queue is empty.
   when the conditions are met, the while loop will exit, close the queue, and the subVI will finish. (and return stuff to mainVI that i can deal with on my own)
Here's the problems.
1) in the "parallel for loop" I have a flat sequence structure.. I haven't had time to incorporate some data dependency into these two sequential sections, but basically, I just care that the "inner while loop" condition is met before the data is collected and queued. I think I can do this on my own, but if you have suggestions, I'm interested.
2) I can easily get the outer for and while loops to run sequentially, but I want them to run in parallel. My reasoning for this is that that I anticipate the two tasks taking very different amounts of time. .. basically, I want the while loop to just keep polling the queue to get everything out of it (or I suppose I could somehow use notifiers - suggestions welcome)... the thing is, this loop will probably run faster than the for loop, so just checking to see that the queue is empty will not work... I need to meet the additional condition that nothing else will be placed in the queue - and this condition is met when the for loop is complete. basically, I just can't figure out how to do this.
3) for now, I've placed a simple stop button in the 'parallel while loop', but I must be missing something fundamental here, because the stop button is totally unresponsive. i.e. - when I press it, it stays depressed, and nothing happens.

As I've thought about it a bit more, there's a few things that surprise me... first, the reason the 'dequeue element while loop' errors is not because there's nothing in the queue, it's becaues the queue has been released and it's trying to access that released queue... I've also added a simple conditional in the "dequeue while loop" that generates a random number if it a button is pressed... but this button is totally non-responsive... which means to me that the "dequeue while loop" isn't actually continuously running, but only when an element is added to the queue. this still seems almost like the 'dequeue while loop" waits for a notifier from the queue telling it to run. can you explain this to me? because it is different from what I expect to be happening.
