How do i assign a pernr to a organisation unit.

You can create using following transactions as mentioned.
1.PPOME : select the orgunit and position under that orgunit.Right click on position then click on assign and select holder person.
For Company code change
Go to PPOME. select the Orgunit.
under account assignment tab,you can change the company code for the selected Orgunit.
2.Goto transaction code:PP02
      Object type: S
      Object ID: position ID
      Infotype: 1001
      Subtype: A008
      planning status 1
      Validity: give the selection period from which date you want.
For Company code change:
PP02:
select
    Object type: O
      Object ID: Orgunit ID
      Infotype: 1008
      planning status 1
      Validity: give the selection period from which date you want.
     Go to change mode.

Hi Sarika,
Create an additional column in your output for integer field and populate the same with value 1 fro each row.
Then, SORT the internal table by Org. Unit and Job and perform sum operation on the column for integer field.
You can SORT by adding fields to the IT_SORT parameter in REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY and mark the DO_SUM in the new integer column fieldcatalog entry.

How to move same position to another org unit

Hi experts,
I have one question.Currently one position in my company shared by 2 department.
How to create same position with same id for the 2 department. I have try to create it, but the second one
will auto generate next position id.Thanks

Hi,
This is not allowed in standard system.
Each position/org unit should exist only once in the org structure.
To assign a position to more than one org unit you need to implement a "matrix organization" by using "dotted relationships".

How to find cost centers for a org unit ( if kost center is inherited)

Hi all
We have a org structure
When a parent org unit is assigned a kost center then the parent also inherites the kost center
I need to find kost center for all the org unit in my organization
I cant see the inherited cost center neither in IT 1001 nor 1008 nor 1015 but i can see it in PPOME in the account assignment tab.
How can i find the inherited cost centers to all the org units.
i think i am clear with my requirement to all

Use the report RHSTRU00 in tcode SE38
and give the follwoing values in selection screen
Plan version                    01 Current plan
Object type                     O   Organizational unit
Evaluation Path               A011       All relationships to A011 -> cost
execute the report to see all the orgunits with their cost centers

Assigning new employee to a org unit manager

Once I had closed all the milestones of the firt implementation project(1. Design Accepted - 2 Solution Accepted - 3 Go Live Readness Acceptance) and tested some cenarios I found an error in the organization structure. To solve this problem I created a new Job D a new employee and had tried to assign this new employee as an org unit manager. The problem is that whem I Open the field " Select Organizational Unit Manager" the system does not show this new employee that I just have created. Does anybody knows whats is wrong? That´s the problem.
I can´t assign this new employee to the org unit.
The system does not list the new employees to be assigned. Only the old employees are listed.
I´m in the first implementation Project and i closed all the milestones.
Do you know if it can cause these problens?
Should I open a new Project?

How does workflow retrieve users under an org. unit when sending email

Dear All:
Workflow supports sending email activity where you can specify the receipt type and receipt ID. For example, the email is supposed to send to the users within an organizational unit.
I am just wondering how SAP workflow determines the users within an organizational unit? Does it use HR-ORG evaluation path to get objects under an org. unit?

Yes workflow template and standard task are also part of organizational unit. As you mentioned that the if the recipient type is choosen as Organizational Object then the workflow system will try to fetch the data from the organizational unit based on the recipient ID you provided in the mail step let say if you are using the recipient id as position Id then workflow system will try to get the data from the organizational unit
Org object types supported by the workflow system are US, C, S, O....
If at all the you choose the workflow recipient type as email address which can be a external address then in that case it just simply makes use of BCS communication methods and and in this case your SCOT settings must be configured properly.
The difference between the first and second is, in the first case the work items or mails/documents will be sent to sap inbox (SBWP) in the second case it depends on the mail ID you mention for example a outlook mail ID.

How to transfer the employees from one org unit to another org unit in OM.

Hi Experts,
I have a task of changing the employees, Positions & Jobs, from one Organization Unit to another Org unit, in the OM. I have around 50 position & Jobs and employees to be moved. Please suggest me how do I go about.
I tried doing through PPOME (Org. and Staffing) but it is a lengthy procedure please suggest if there is an alternate option to do so in OM.

Dear Sharad,
First of all I recommend to open a new discussion and not to post in a old-date one.
Anyway, You can do it either PA40 or OOPME.
In PA40 you should select an appropriate action like :Org. Change", "Promotion" and so on. In fact it depends what do you have in you action list.
In PPOME you can do it by drag and drop also. Just take care about effective date. First you should select the right date in top of the screen.

Hi Long,
For each organizational unit created in the organizational model a business partner is generated automatically. This number range that will be used for creating a org unit can be defined.
If you are looking forward for creating a Org. unit with a specific number range, please following the below mentioned steps:
Step 1: Defining Number Range for Org Business Partners
Goto transaction BUCF or SAP CRM IMG Menu: SPRO-> Cross-Application Components ->SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Number Ranges and Groupings -> Define Number Ranges
Choose Change Intervals
Choose Insert Intervals
Assign an interval you need and provide values for the field No., From number, To number, and flag 'X' in EXT. if external number range is required.
save your entries.
Step 2: Defining Groupings for Org Business Partners
Goto SAP CRM IMG Menu: SPRO ->Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner ->Basic Settings -> Number Ranges and Groupings -> Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges
Choose New Entries
Enter Correspoding values in field
Grouping: for ex. Z4
Short Name: for ex Org BP
Description: Give some description
Number Range: Provide the number range defined in the previous step
save your entries
Step 3: Set up integration
Activate the integration of organizational units and business partners and assign the number range defined in the preceding sections.
Go to IMG: SPRO ->Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Business Partner ->Integration Business Partner Organization Management -> Set Up Integration with Organizational Management
Enter the following values for the existing combination of Group and Sem.abbr.:
HRALX-HRAC - X
HRALX-OBPON - ON
HRALX-ONUMB - 2
HRALX-OSUBG - Enter your Number Range defined in the previous steps here.
save your entries.
Step 4: Execute Report for Changeover Classification
Execute the report CRM_MKTBP_ZCACL_UPDATE_30 in transaction SE 38.

Resources view: how not to show resource from under Org Units

Hello experts!
In cProjects/xRPM 4.5, when we assign a user as Staffing Manager of an Organizational Unit, not only the resources from this Org Unit appear in his resources view, but also the ones from sub Org Units.
We would like to prevent this, and display ONLY the resources at the same level.
Is there a way to achieve this: BADI, authorizations?

Yes, i just came to know about that. I clicked on account assignment features button in PPOS_OLD and specified pers area, pers sub area and company code and found that an entry was created in HRP1008 for the company code with org unit.

ECM- how to assign amount to the budget structure ?

I'm new to Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM Module).
I need to know how we create a budget structure for org units? How we assign amount to the budget structure.
I found one program 'RHECM_BUDGET_GENERATE' which generates the budget structure, but it doesn't assign the amount. So how to assign the budget amount. Which transaction we use for the same ? or Is there any FM which assigns the amount to the budget structure? I am trying to enhance the program 'RHECM_BUDGET_GENERATE' so that it assigns the budget amount also.

I'm fuming! Same problem as I like to manually assign location data, esp as I just imported lots of old photos which I recently found on an old drive. They are now on new Photos app, but iPhoto, otherwise I would use the latter to assign geo data as before. It seems very complicated but maybe I could delete from iPhoto, somehow import in to iPhotos, then import from iPhoto to Photos. Would that work?
Lots of my photos have ALSO lost their geo data and their face data due to the fact that somehow my new "Photos" library suddenly decided to put 4000 odd duplicates in the new library imported from iPhoto. I then ran a duplicate-finding application in the new photos library, managed to remove most of the duplicates, however most of the photos that then remained had lost their face data which took ages to put on in the first place!!! (Perhaps the ones I deleted had the location nd face data I wanted and the software kept the duplicate version. I don't know...)
Plus I am having a nightmare with the new automatic uploading photos to icloud application that runs in the background if enabled.. It says its still uploading but doesn't appear to have got past a thousand in last few days and just 'stuck' on this amount, despite saying it is uploading automatically. My iOS devices only show a fragment of what is on my mac.
O well!

Regarding this thread I want a help from your side if you can help me please.
I have to put some validation for the assigned employee and the position under which the employee is beeing assigned.
Is there any badi or Enhancement spot that can resolve my problem.
the validation will be done as soon as we select the employee that will be assigned to the position and press the ENTER.
It is done before SAVE.

Inheritance of a role assigned to Org Unit

Dear Experts,
Im facing the following issue: via TA PFCG i assign roles to orgunits which works fine. But once i create a new orgunit with a position and a person underneath the existing orgunit, i doesnt inherit the assigned role of the orgunit above. The same problem occurs while assigning a new person to an existing position (for example 3 instead of 2 consultants).
I have updated the assignment evry time i changed something, and all the prerequisites are fullfilled.
Is there a way to solve this problem? Do i have do change the evaluation path?
I would be very grateful if someone postet.

Hi,
Please run report RHPROFL0 after you made new assignments in OM. There you need to select right evaluation path to assign roles from positions and org.units.

SAP user assigned with roles from HR-ORG incorrectly

Hi All
I have an issue where a SAP user appears to be receiving role assignments from some HR-ORG object erroneously.
I have checked the user's HR positions and organisational assignments and they do not have any roles assigned.
I also checked the job and no roles are assigned there as well.
Where could these roles be coming from if they are not coming from the position or org unit?
User currently has direct role assignments in SU01 except for 3 roles which appear as indirect assignments (HR assignments) in SU01.
Is this is a bug and is there a note to fix it?
Please could someone let me know why this is happening.

Hi Colleen.... Thanks for your email.
Please see below screenshot, it is an Org assignment but single roles also belong to composite roles.
PBS is not meant to be active and PFUD is scheduled as a daily job. CUA is not active here.
User is assigned to a position and org unit but roles are not provisioned via the Org/position. So there is a 0105 mapping, I have checked those positions and org units but no roles are assigned there.
Basis release 731 and level 0005, SP - SAPKB73105.
