How to assign roles without Sap*

Hi
I have created an administrator account and I forgot to assign him roles...
My Sap* user id is desable on top of that
I have tried to modify the ume.superadmin.activated=true but its still not working.
any ideas??

the config tool is working but I am running a different version that the course I took not so long ago. In the config tool, they can switch to the configuration editor mode and I don't have it...
Anyway, I had a ghost of my server so I did a restore, (its quicker that way)

How to assign roles for each kind of users

Hello,
i am creating users for each kind of users, say abap developer or FI/MM/SD function users, in IDES ECC 6. it doesnt make me any sense how to assign which roles to which user( there are more than 2000 sap standard roles). can anyone give me some guideline how to create each kind of users.

I don't understand your question....
When sap is implemented usually part of the project is creating roles based on a blueprint designed to adjust to your company needs...
Basically Standard roles are there to be used as templates for your own roles.
Users as "dialog users" do not have classification... the special access attributes are given by the roles assigned to it based on the project plan desing pre-installation.

But i want to add one role to user not profile.
i got one bapi BAPI_USER_ACTGROUPS_ASSIGN, this bapi does work...
but actually deletes previous roles and then assign new one.
is there any fm which will add role to user without deleting existing role.

How to assign roles to users using WL api?

We have a requirement to allow creation of new users through application screens and assign groups and roles to those users.
My users will exist in external LDAP server while my groups and roles will exist in embedded LDAP server. Using WL APIs i am able to create users and add them to groups using the code peices given below:

How do i assign roles to this new user programatically?
If i add a role from console (Home > Realm Roles > Summary of Security Realms > myrealm > Realm Roles -> Global Roles) and edit role condition to add this newly created user then i it works fine. I want to achieve the same i.e. edit role condition programatically.

Problem Solved !!!
The data-type conversion needs to be performed in the SPML2 Person Form. Add a Field called waveset.roles and map it to the SPML2 attribute name being used in ur client. It's best done through a rule.....

How to Assign Roles for maintaining possible agents?

Hi all,
I was trying to assign Roles to maintain agent assignment and I was not able to assign role to Task -> Additional data -> Agent Assignment -> Maintain -> Create agent assignment -> selected role but it's not displaying the roles available in the client.
There is no org. structure in our client.
So, What all settings do i need to make the roles display and select? please let me know in detail if possible.

I haven't created any org structure or any role and there are no org structures in our client.
To get roles displayed on search do we need to create an org structure. I don't think so.
Is any authorization required for a user or any settings need to be made to get roles displayed when searched for roles for assigning role in maintaining agent assignment for a task.
i even checked with basis person with his id but it is the same problem.
As far as i know these roles are basis roles only and there are number of roles in our client but its strange it doesn't display any roles( not even a single role when i searched with ' * ').
please help me..

As you know, we have both Standard and Structural authorizations in SAP HR
1. Standard Authorization
If you want to assign Standard Authorizations to a Position, you need to create Relationship b/w Object type S and AG (You need to have authorization to PFCG T code in this case)
I am not very sure if SAP has provided any standard program to assign the Standard Authorizations which are avaialble against a position to a User.
2. If you want to assign Structural Authorizations to a Position and in turn to a User
Create Structural authorization profiles in OOSP, assign the same to position by creating Infotype 1017 for a Position and run RHPROFL0 program to update the same to the USER (T77UA) who is occupying the position (A008 Relationship b/w S & P and IT 0105 against P)

How to assign modified forms (SAP scripts etc.,) to Dunning texts

Hello, how do I assign forms (SAP scripts etc.,) to dunning texts according to no 5 above?
I've copied the form f150_dunn_01 and modified it. Now I want to assign my modified form to dunning text. In txn fbmp I have created new procedure and when I clicked on Dunning texts it takes me to dunning text screen where I should be able to assign my modified form. But the screen is greyed out and not editable. Is there anything I'm missing or I've permission issue?

Most of the config for Dunning is done with TCode FBMP.
Key Steps are :-
1.     Define the dunning procedure or use the standard
2.     Define the dunning levels (desired stages of reminder)
3.     Define the dunning interval (frequency of reminder)
4.     Line item grace periods & Min.days in arrears (acct) govern the criteria for picking items to be dunned along with Minimum amounts
5.     Assign forms (SAP scritps etc.,) to dunning texts. Forms contain the contents of the reminder notice and the format of notice.
6.     You can include the Sp GL Transactions as well.
7.     Customer/Vendor Master Records needs to be updated with the Dunning
8.     Procedure etc, Dunning tab in the master data
9.     Use F150 to run.

Ok let me go through the steps that I have done so for.
1. New dunning procedure 004 been created in Txn FBMP
2. Then by choosing the assigned dunning procedure 004, trying to update the form by selecting the company code and then Dunning text. But the screen is grayed out.

Mike was right. THis is not the right forum to address this.
anyway, to answer your question, you can simply assign these using PFCG, by adding the new user in each of these roles.
Also, you need to change the custom code,if any applicable, to pick up the new user.
To reroute the existing witems in old user's Inbox, you can use SWI5 and then SWIA.

Hi,
Just check where is your IDOC getting populated.
You can find this by searching for FM 'MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE' or just by fetching the name of your IDOC type or message type.
or trigger a IDOC in debugging mode via tcode WE19.
When you get that, just check where the quantity field is getting filled. Here you can give your desired value to the IDOC.

Can you tell me how to assign the space in layout tabs of site master data(wb01) in retails for the different products \merchandise category.
My aim is to see the contribution of article \Floor area in the store.
Ex- i have mobile ,tv and washing machine
now i 'll assign some area to these art(floor area)
Like 200 Sq mm for mobile ,1000for tv and 1500 for washing machine.
I want to assign in site master data so it comes automatically for every site.
Now i want to see the contribution of all these article \Floor area in the store.

You can copy the overview iview of type workset map iview from standard ess role and give the area group name in that.
check the overview iview in the standard ess role
give application parameters as sap.xss.menuargrp=area group name&sap.xss.menuhdr=header name

How to assign the role for currently created user from Webdynpro App.
when i enter into the portal after creating the user
i am getting the following messgae in the portal
"No portal roles are assigned for this user.If this problem persists, contact your system administrator."

In the User Administration section of your portal find your newly created user and below select "Assigned Roles" tab then press <Modify> button and look through available roles on portal then just simply add and save. But if you want to do it programmatically see below:

IUserAccountSearchFilter userFilter = userFactory.getUserAccountSearchFilter();

ISearchResult sr = userFactory.search(userFilter);
for (final Iterator i = new PrincipalIterator(sr); i.hasNext();) {
IUserAccount user = (IUserAccount) i.next();
Execute the same search for IRole (or IGroup if needed) get the unique id of them and use newRole(...) and addUserToRole(...) methods from IRoleFactory.
Of course you don't need search for this principals if you know uniqueness of them. Use appropriate factories to get'em all by this unique id.

Indirect Role Assignment in My SAP SRM

I am trying to do a Indirect Role Assignment in My SAP SRM.
In my ECC system we have done it through PFCGgotoOrg Mgmt---assign positions and then reconcilitaion
in HR master data the Sap USer ID is communication through infotype 105
but in My SAP SRM I need some help on how to do that...
as HR master data does'nt exist in my SAP SRM..
so can you please tell me how to do that.

Hi Its done the same goto PFCG, user tab >org assign > select the position and reconcile, once done do a PFUD then goto PPOSW fine your position and you will see the role assigned to that position then goto su01 to make sure the role has been assigned there to.
