How to assign to attribute value of h:commandButton

I am trying to use ">>" as a label of <h:commandButton>
like this:
<h:commandButton id="cmdNext" value=">>"></h:commandButton>
Seems like JSF page validator doesnot like the way i assign >> to its value attribute.
How can I assign >> to value of <h:commandButton>

Use HTML entities.

Assume u have an LOV relation associated with VO attribute.
1. Go to Edit List of Values window
2. Click UI Hints tab
3. Check Include no selection item check box.
4. Select Labeled Item ( First of the list) entry form right combo box.
5. Give ur default value in right text box.

I am trying load Vendor and Customer Master data into BPC dimension. My Dimesnion has memebrs: ID, EVDESCRIPTION, PARENTH1, TYPE. I have successfully pulled the ID and the description from 0CUSTOMER and 0VENDOR. However, I
need to have a ttext value for 'PARENTH1' and 'TYPE'. For Customers, I want to add a FIXED value "'CUSTOMER' for every
Customer ID pulled in and also for "TYPE", I want a value of "CUSTOMER". When I maintainthe Dimension, I want to see
th followingvalues:
ID                          EVDESCRIPTION                                   PARENTH1                         TYPE
0000000001         WALMART                                            CUSTOMER                        CUSTOMER

and so ON

Hi,
For adding fixed values to the properties, you can use the transformation file. In the mapping section, you can specify a constant value. This value will be written to properties of all the members while importing master data. However, for parenth, its a bit different. First thing is that, you need to have a member called CUSTOMER, then only you can have CUSTOMER in the parenth column. Even if you add it and use the mapping section for this purpose, then it will write CUSTOMER to parenth for all the members (even to CUSTOMER member). And this will be wrong. So, you will need to write it manually.

I have a need, can i know how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button. Scenario is like follows...
This is a struts based web application
1. I have a file which consists of login user details (user name and his previlages) for a web application.
2. I got those user details, into a List.
3. When a user logged into the web app, in the home page there are few buttons. The type and number of buttons shown depends on the type of user/ user. (Buttons have different combination and the number of buttons available are not constant, they will vary from user to user).
4. for each button, there will be a different action. I can pass the value of a button to an action class, but here button must have a dynamic value.
Here is my test code:

But my problem is how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of the button ( i know 'value= "<%=List[i]%>" ' will not work, just wanted show you guys).

But I'm interested in what you mean with "using

You just need to loop at your select-option field and take the values from low and high fields.
for. e.g
loop at s_werks .
move:s_werks-low to <your itab>
if not s_werks-high is initial .
move: s_werks-high to <youritab>
endif .
append <your itab>
endloop .
OR use select statement.

You can create a structure for that constant .
You can define in this way
CONSTANTS : BEGIN OF c_pstkey,
                         01 TYPE bschl VALUE '01',
                         02 TYPE bschl VALUE '02',
                      END OF c_pstkey.
and can access using...
c_pstkey-01, c_pstkey-02 ........

Assignment on Attribute Values

Hello,
I have a requirement where I have Material Description field of type text where i have to autopopulate values which is combination of all the attribute values assigned to classification of that material.
For Eg.
Material No: 111
Material Description:Bricks,20cm,4cm
Classifiication: Refactory Material
Short Name : Bricks
Length: 20 cm
Thickness: 4 cm
In the above example Short Name,Length,Thickness are the attributes linked to classification Refactory Material.
And Material Description is concatenation of Attribute Values whcih need to be autopopulated.
In MDM If we need to use attribuite values we have to create branch assignment which makes it static that is we have to write one branch assignment for each class.We have 100 classification as such so not finding it practical to write 100 branch assignment for each class.
Is there any other workaround solution to autopopulate decsription field with combination of ATTRIBUTE VALUES.

You can use the Function RSDMD_WRITE_ATTRIBUTES_TEXTS, which allows you to load Attribute or text in the load of a Master Data Atributtes or in a transactional load.

In your case you should use i_tabclass = 'T' (for texts) and the table i_t_table should be the IDs of Material, and the concatenation of the atributes as text (be sure, Mediu, large or short text).
Thats one solution, other solucion could be, create a custom extractor in RSO2 using the table of the Master Data Atribute, and in the Trasnfromation or Transfer Rule (depending the version that you use) you should concatenate the values with a routine mapping.

Are you using dates for between or some character column?
Post your example.
Instead of between use to is equal prompts, so u will have then 2 fields one for date from a nd one for date to. Everything is the same as I wrote just repeat steps...
You must put 2 separate fields if you are using date between and you want to have default variable for both.
Column formula for the first calendar date prompt:
case when 1=2 then TIMES.TIME_ID else cast ('1.1.1900' as date) end
and for the second:
case when 1=2 then TIMES.TIME_ID else cast ('1.1.2900' as date) end
Now you set up default repository variable for both prompts.
Presentation variable you put in the set presentation variable on each prompt:
p_date_from
p_date_to
And in Answers filter will be like this:
*TIMES.TIME_ID between @{p_date_from}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char")} and @{p_date_to}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char")}*
or you can put a different default variables
*TIMES.TIME_ID between @{p_date_from}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char_from")} and @{p_date_to}{VALUEOF("rv_test_date_to_char_to")}*

I am using crystal reports 2008 and i am not able to find how to assign variable value to crystal report viewer formula.
In CR 8.5 , i used to have crystalreport1.Formulas(0) = variable1
crystalreport1.Formulas(1) = variable2
but, i don't find similar kind in crystal reports 2008.
How can i achieve the same functionality using crystal reports 2008.

How to assign the default value to search parameter

Hi Experts,
I am using search view , In this I have 5 parameter lets say Transaction Type, Partner No. etc... Now I want to assign a default value to transaction type ( lets say TA) . User should be able to see this default value in the transaction type field before pressing search button.
How can I do it?
My second problem is: I have configured this search view using configuration tool but I want to assign only one value to transaction type (i.e. user should not be able to add new row in the search criteria for the transaction type by using + sign) but in rest 4 fields he can add new row and search based on that.
Note: I am using only "Is" criteria .
Any pointer will be helpful for me

For the default search values, here is a solution. You have to redefine the method GET_VALUE1 of the context node

Default value will then appear in your search field, but you are still able to modify it if you want...

How to assign the dynamic value of PV to Sip Header in ICM?

Hi everybody,
I would like to ask your help, please. We are working on Temporary IVR Handoff (ICM+CVP). I need to add/modify a customer Sip header in ICM transfer script. The value for that header is dynamic and stored in the one of ICM Call Peripherial Variables (PV9, for examle).
Is it possible somehow to assign the value of that PV9 to Sip header (Set Variable Call.SipHeader)? I tried to do it but unfortunally without any success. I can assign any static string, but how to assign the value of the PV??? That's the question...
For static string assignment the syntax of the Set Variable Node (Call.SipHeader) looks like that:
"IVR-Handoff~add~It's Cisco"
and it works fine.
For dynamic value (PV9) I tried:
"IVR-Handoff~add~Call.PeripherialVariable9" - it add Call.PeripherialVariable9 as a string, but not it's value;
"IVR-Handoff"~add~Call.PeripherialVariable9 - returns a syntax error;
Call.PeripherialVariable9 - no Sip header is added.
What do you think? Is it doable at all?
Any ideas, answers or examples how to do it would be much appreciated.

Yes! It works, but with the little difference. The right answer is:
"IVR-Handoff~add~"&Call.PeripherialVariable9
(Call.PeripherialVariable9 is without quotes, otherwise it insert the name of the variable, but not it's value)
