How to associate recent (non-CC) Acrobat XI purchase with account?

I recently purchased Acrobat XI Pro (Mac, non-CC), and it is installed and running on my rMBP. I already had Premiere Pro CC installed, as well as Dreamweaver CS6. These last 2 apps are displayed in the "Your Apps" section of the "Apps" tab on the Creative Cloud menu bar widget, but Acrobat does not show up under Your Apps. Is there a way to get it recognized as being on my Mac already and that it is mine?

I really thought I was rather computer literate but...OK, i clicked on the yellow button and it took me to http://www.adobe.com/cart.html?marketSegment=COM&promoid=KJGUV&#!. Great but, there is no active link that allows anything other than the subscription option. I see the 'I want to buy' but it's not active. Really sorry to be such an idiot.

Does anyone know how to save to sharepoint from Acrobat XI pro with SDK or Javascript?

The goal is to have Acrobat Pro watch a folder, OCR any document that appears, then save it to sharepoint using the contents of the file name to determine certain meta data.
If watching a folder is not practical then it can be run manually, but it would be better if it could watch the folder. I tried searching but I am having difficulty finding examples of saving to sharepoint using the built-in javascript capability or the SDK.
If anyone can point me to or show me an example of any of these issues I would appreciate it. In the end I will need to find the documents, OCR them, take apart the file name to determine metadata and destination location, save to sharepoint, delete the original file.

I think I will need to see a javascript sample that sets key metadata for the document to be saved, and some kind of documentation on how to tell the Action to save to sharepoint. I assumed it would be pretty straight forward but I am having trouble finding any kind of documentation.
Also as files are processed, I need to move them so they don't get processed again. I was thinking that in addition to putting them in sharepoint it would make sense to move the move to a processed directory as a backup and delete the original.
I did not see that option in action either, so I could use come guidance.

Since the introduction of the unified search field, I can no longer view recent searches (previously accessed by clicking on the magnifying glass on the search field). Note that I am not interested in the browsing history, I want to see a list of recent searches as this saves me having to retype my search query each time I want to display the search results. Thank you for your reply but unfortunately this doesn't address my issue. Typing in the unified bar brings up suggestions, bookmarks and history but this seems to be browsing history only (i.e. sites I have actually visited). I still need to retype my search query to display my search results again. I wasn't aware you can't downgrade, isn't that a bit silly? What if there is a major fault or drawback with the new software, are users left with no option but to bear it? Also, upgrades should be an enhancement on a previous version, one would not expect to lose functionality or a feature by upgrading (especially when there is no option to go back)..it poses a risk in performing any future updates if I could potentially lose something I already have!

After a recent update to Acrobat 9 Pro, PDF documents do not diplay properly. The resolution is very poor, and bold fonts are too dark. These documents display properly (and as before the update) in Acrobat 9 Reader. How can I fix this or return to a previous version?

That's it! Page Display/Smooth Text was set to None. I have changed it to Laptop/LCD with all options
checked, and it looks as it should. I have never touched that setting, so I'm wondering if the update

For MS Visio (any version) only the appropriate version of Acrobat *PRO* provides PDFMaker for Visio.
For Visio 2013 specifically you must have Acrobat XI Pro (updated to at least 11.0.1).

Have you tried applying the update by going to Help>Updates within Photoshop Lightroom? The update should be using the same licensing? Did you perhaps customize the installation location? Finally which operating system are you using?

It looks like the default association of your PDFs was set to Adobe Acrobat, when you installed Adobe Reader 9.4.0. I would request you to either uninstall Adobe Reader 9.4.0 and install it again. This time around, you will receive a window asking you to chose between Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Reader 9.4.0 as the default PDF viewing application, make sure you select Adobe Reader 9.4.0 and continue on. This will associate Adobe Reader 9.4.0 as the default PDF viewing application and your internet explorer will be able to open PDFs without an issue.
If an uninstall seems out of the question, you can change the following registries to point to the path of AcroRd32.exe (i.e. the path wherein you have installed Adobe Reader 9.4.0. By default it would be something like: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe). The quotes mentioned below are intentional and must be included.
i. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe\(Default) - Change the value to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe"
ii. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\shell\Open\command\(Default) - Change the value to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe""%1"
iii. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\shell\Read\command\(Default) - Change the value to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe""%1"
This should set the default application to view PDFs as Adobe Reader 9.4.0 and let you view PDFs in browser as well.

In AA 6, the name was changed to the Adobe PDF printer. In any case, once you have the PDF, open the PDF in Acrobat and go to the document properties. Select the security options to restrict changes and/or extracting text. The security is not all that robust, but works for most folks.

Transferred my Library to new laptop, but how to associate/sync iPhone with new laptop?

I got a new laptop. The old laptop is still working. I transferred my library using the Home Sharing method and all of my items were moved except my apps. I plugged in my iPhone to the new computer and used "Transfer Purchases from iPhone" option and all of my apps were added to the library. But, now I don't know how to associate the iPhone with the new computer. When I plug in my iPhone to the new computer. It starts to sync. It says steps 1 through 3, spins for 20 seconds and says complete, but nothing was done. I do not get the "this iPhone is associated with another library" message when I plug it in to new computer, perhaps because I've authorized both computers. All I can find in my searches is how to avoid losing all of your data and how to transfer your library, but none has dealt with this exact situation. I am stumped as to how to get iPhone associated with new computer. Can I transfer my backup from the old computer and restore from backup? Other thoughts? Sorry if the answer is somewhere (I'm sure it is), but I have spent two days looking.

Randers4, so I carefully followed the directions (only one that confused me was about adding a fake address/calendar entry, is that for Macs, I'm using a PC?.) I restored it from the backup and everything looked good. I had hope, the final step says to sync it and when I did, I had the exact same problem. It spun, went quickly through only 3 steps (even though there were 7 sync steps with my old laptop) and nothing changed. It clearly didn't sync.
So, I had an idea that I would back up everything by right clicking in the left pane and forcing a back up on the new computer, and then erasing the entire phone and then restoring from the backup I just made to see if that would make a difference. So, after I tried that and it restored, it was weird. All of my settings were there. Some folders were there, my pictures were there, but all of my apps, folders, music and video was missing and it still wouldn't sync. So, then I had to plug it back into my old laptop and do a restore from there to get that stuff back.
Shouldn't I get a message when I plug the iPhone into the new laptop saying this phone is connected to another computer? I tried "Reset Warning Messages" but it doesn't do anything. At this point, I don't care if I lose some of the stuff from my iPhone (texts, etc)...but I want it to sync to the new computer because my old laptop is on its death bed.
So frustrating, all of my iTunes content is on the new computer, the only piece that is missing is getting it to "talk" to the iPhone. Times like this I wish I wasn't a poor teacher and could afford to get a nice Mac laptop.

Back when I had to do something like that, I used Copytrans, http://www.copytrans.net/. You might see if they are what you want.
At worst, you could open the ipod classic in disk mode, locate the music files, copy them to your hard disk (they won't have good names), and just add them to your library. You'll probably lose play counts and *s with that approach, but it should work.

The 'Clear Recents' button which was provided in previous releases only *cleared* the Recent list and did not delete the files. The files stayed in your document hierarchy. This button has been removed in the latest release. For deleting the files, you can go to the Documents/Acrobat.com tab and delete the files individually. However, please note that the files will be permanently deleted from your device. Please let us know if this is not a viable option for you. We would like to hear more about your use case.
