How to attach 2 TPVs as return values in feature TRVCT

Dear Friends,
Is it possible to assign two trip provision variants as return value in feature TRVCT.
We have two different Trip provision variants for Domestic and Overseas travel and we have to attach these two TPV as return values in feature.
If we attach XX return value Otherwise YY is not working becuase if XX is true then it is not taking YY,but we want two variants should true.
Please help me to achieve this scenario.
Mohan

thanks for your reply
i 'm doing what exactly you mention here .
my problem here is
i have 15 columns
i am executing a query based on the values of the column(column name)  in the target page
1)here i am passing(all) the column values to the next page-but  i want to pass only one column values(column name)
when i click on any cell of that  column
OR
2)i can pass all column name to target page -there(in the target page) i can filter out
i think option 1 would good if you filter out the unwanted columns

  • How to map the method action return value directly into screen using variables?

    Hi,
    My JDev version is 11.1.1.6.3.
    I have a 'MethodAction' defined in PageDef file, that goes to model layer and return String value. As this needs to be executed during initializing of pageDef, I have also added an 'InvokeAction' for that.
    <executables>
               <invokeAction id="invokeSayHelloId" Refresh="ifNeeded"
                                    Binds="sayHello"/>
               <variableIterator id="variables">
                    <variable Name="Name" Type="java.lang.String"/>
               </variableIterator>
    </executables>
    <bindings>
              <methodAction id="sayHello" InstanceName="HrAMDataControl.dataProvider"
                                     DataControl="HrAMDataControl" RequiresUpdateModel="true"
                                     Action="invokeMethod" MethodName="sayHello"
                                     IsViewObjectMethod="false"
                                     ReturnName="data.HrAMDataControl.methodResults.sayHello_HrAMDataControl_dataProvider_sayHello_result">
                                        <NamedData NDName="pName" NDValue="Michael John" NDType="java.lang.String"/>
             </methodAction>
    </bindings?
    Requirement:
    I want to map the return value of this method action directly into screen by making use of PageDef variables.
    Question:
    I. I need to know how to map this return value direcly as exprssion against PageDef variable.
    2. If Question 1 is achievable, assuming the method action returls List instead of String (I know well it returns 2 items), can I map the 1st Item against Variable 1 and 2nd Item against Variable 2 directly?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Ragu

    Thanks Frank, but If I directly map the MethodAction's result to UI, there are chances where it might get executed whenever I refresh the UIComponent (UIComponent to which the methodAction result is mapped. Isn't so??). Instead, If I invoke the MethodAction using InvokeAction, I can get the control on when it should get invoked (using RefreshCondition). If I assign the variable to UIComponent (Assume I've mapped the method action result to variable using expression), refreshing of UIComponent will not cause any performance issue I feel.
    Correct me If I am wrong.

  • How to get a stored function return value (which is not a cursor)?

    I want to do so with ADO inside Visual Basic. I know how to call a stored procedure, but nothing I tried could help me in calling a stored function and getting its return code. Note that the function has no cursors within its argument or return code.
    Your quick response would be appreciated
    Eyal

    Eyal,
    A stored function returns a value. You need to have the first parameter (of correct data type) for the returned value. The parameter binding is pretty much the same as you would do with stored procedures.
    e.g. "begin :1= proc(....); end;"

  • How to put the SQL-statement returned value into the field (as a default)

    Hi,
    I am using Developer/2000 (Forms Designer) under windows 98.
    Please tell me how to put the SQL-statement value (as a default value) into the field before enter-query mode. Noted that I have tried the following ways but still some problems:-
    1) Place the SQL-statement into PRE_QUERY trigger in the form/block level.
    There is a message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.
    2) Place the SQL-statement before execute enter_query. There is still a

    Any hints? Thanks. Urgent.

    solved it!
    1) Suppress DEFAULT save message

    2) Place the default value before enter-query.

  • How to locate a cell and return value of neighbour cell

    Hi, I have a table containing data pairs in columns like [Title] [Value]. The table has multiple columns resulting in a table like this:
    Title
    Value
    Title
    Value
    Title
    Value
    Apples
    100
    Bread
    120
    Pork
    90
    Melons
    120
    Pancake
    150
    Beef
    160
    Peaches
    110
    Pie
    55
    Fish
    100
    In a different table, I want to enter a title and get the value next to it returned. E.g. I enter "Pancake" in column A and get "150" in column B.
    I tried using Lookup but it doesn't support multi-column searches so I would have to create IF-chains for the pairs of columns.
    The best way I could think of is to locate the address of the title cell and use Offset. Does anyone know a solution for this?

    More on "you can have both..."
    Here's an exmple that preserves your original table layout (in "Main"), uses it to generate an Auxiliary table ("Aux"), thenuses that table as a lookup table for VLOOKUP:
    Formulas:
    The complicated ones are in the Aux table:
    A2: =IF(ROW()-1<=COUNTA(Main :: A),OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,ROW()-1,0),IF(ROW()-1<=(COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C)),OFFSET(Main :: $C$1,ROW()-(1+COUNTA(Main :: A)),0),IF(ROW()-1<=(COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C,Main :: E)),OFFSET(Main :: $E$1,ROW()-(1+COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C)),0),"over")))
    Fill down to the end of column A.
    Separated for clarity:
    =IF(ROW()-1<=COUNTA(Main :: A),OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,ROW()-1,0),
      IF(ROW()-1<=(COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C)),OFFSET(Main :: $C$1,ROW()-(1+COUNTA(Main :: A)),0),
      IF(ROW()-1<=(COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C,Main :: E)),OFFSET(Main :: $E$1,ROW()-(1+COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C)),0),
      "over")))
    B2: =IF(ROW()-1<=COUNTA(Main :: A),OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,ROW()-1,1),IF(ROW()-1<=(COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C)),OFFSET(Main :: $C$1,ROW()-(1+COUNTA(Main :: A)),1),IF(ROW()-1<=(COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C,Main :: E)),OFFSET(Main :: $E$1,ROW()-(1+COUNTA(Main :: A,Main :: C)),1),"over")))
    Fill down to the end of column B.
    Note that this is the same formula as used in Column A, with only the three zeros in OFFSET changed to ones.
    Summary table:
    B2, and filled down to end of column B: =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A,Aux :: A:B,2,0),"nf")

    should have been
    if (!$FailedSPTimerJobs){

  • Getter/setter methods -- how do I use the return values

    I'm just learning Java, and I haven't been to this site since the end of July, I think. I have a question regarding getter and setter methods. I switched to the book Head First Java after a poster here recommended it. I'm only about a hundred pages into the book, so the code I'm submitting here reflects that. It's the beginnings of a program I'd eventually like to complete that will take the entered information of my CD's and alphabetize them according to whatever criteria I (or any user for that matter) choose. I realize that this is just the very beginning, and I don't expect to have the complete program completed any time soon -- it's my long term goal, but I thought I could take what I'm learning in the book and put it to practical use as I go along (or at lest try to).
    Yes I could have this already done it Excel, but where's the fun and challenge in that? :) Here's the code:
    // This program allows the user to enter CD information - Artist name, album title, and year of release -- and then organizes it according the the user's choice according to the user's criteria -- either by artist name, then title, then year of release, or by any other order according to the user's choice.
    //First, the class CDList is created, along with the necessary variables.
    class CDList{
         private String artistName;//only one string for the artist name -- including spaces.
         private String albumTitle;//only one string the title name -- including spaces.
         private int yearOfRelease;
         private String recordLabel;
         public void setArtistName(String artist){
         artistName = artist;
         public void setAlbumTitle(String album){
         albumTitle = album;
         public void setYearOfRelease(int yor){
         yearOfRelease = yor;
         public void setLabel(String label){
         recordLabel = label;
         public String getArtistName(){
         return artistName;
         public String getAlbumTitle(){

           System.out.println ("Record Label: " + getLabel());
           System.out.println ();
    import static java.lang.System.out;
    import java.util.Scanner;
    class CDListTestDrive {

The scanner feature I got from another book, but I abandoned it in favor of HFJ.
    Secondly --
    I'm confused about getter and setter methods -- I'd like someone to explain to me what they are used for exactly and the difference between the two. I have a general idea, that getters get a result from the method and setters set or maybe assign a value to variable. I submitted this code on another site, and one of the responders told me I wasn't using the returned values from the getter methods (he also told me about using a constructor method, but I haven't got that far in the book yet.). The program compiles and runs fine, but I can't seem to figure out how I'm not using the returned values from the getter methods. Please help and if you can explain in 'beginners terms,' with any code examples you think are appropriate. It will be greatly appreciated.
    By the way, I'm not a professional programmer -- I'm learning Java because of the intellectual exercise and the fun of it. So please keep that in mind as well.

But this is something every new programmer goes through, and I will not spoil the fun. You see, in 3 to 6 months when you have learned much more Java, assuming you stick with it, you will look back at this and be like "what the hell was I thinking" and then realize just haw far you have come. So enjoy that moment and don't spoil it now by asking for what could have been better/ more efficient. If it works it works, just be happy it works.

So please keep that in mind as well.First, if you posted this somewhere else you should link to that post, it is good you at least said you did, but doubleposting is considered very rude because what inevitably happens in many cases is the responses are weighed against each other. So you are basically setting anyone up who responds to the post for a trap that could make them look bad when you double post.
    You are setting you getters and setters up right as far as I can tell. Which tells me that I think you grasp that a getter lets another class get the variables data, and a setter lets another class set the data. One thing, be sure to use the full variable name so you should have setRecordLabel() and getRecodLabel() as opposed to setLabel() and getLabel(). Think about what happens if you go back and add a label field to the CDList class, bad things the way you have it currently. Sometimes shortcuts are not your friend.
    And yes, you are using the getters all wrong since you are not saving off what they return, frankly I am suprised it compiles. It works because you don't really need to use the getters where you have them since the CDList Record (should be lowercase R by the way) object already knows the data and uses it in the printout() method. Basically what you are doing in lines like:
    Record[x].getArtistName();is asking for the ArtistName in Record[x] and then getting the name and just dropping it on the floor. You need to store it in something if you want to keep it, like:
    String artistName = Record[x].getArtistName();See how that works?
    Hope this helped, keep up the good learning and good luck.

  • How to store the return value from a select list in page item ?

    I'm sorry, I'm sure you will all flame me for this (and its long too :-(. I'm still trying to pick this up and havn't had time to read manual and this forum and up against the clock (as usual), but this must be something thats simple to do, otherwise why have 2 cols on LOV (display text and return value.
    normal kind of thing - master /detail, a master table and a detail table, master.id is PK in master, master.name is the name of the master item. detail.id is pk in detail, detail.mid is foreign key to master.id. I have a tabular report that displays a join of cols from master and detail, with 2 cols being links, one is a link on master.name, that passes master.id to page P1 and it displays a row from master. The other col displays detail.name and passes detail.id to page P3, P3 displays a row of the detail table.
    I want to populate a LOV with possible master.name values, but display the name of the current P3_MID value (from detail.mid). Then a user can pick a different master and it needs to update P3_MID so on submit it updates the row.
    I just can't seem to see in the manual how you can specify where the return value on a LOV goes?
    As I said, sorry for long post and not having had time to read docs correctly - someone just point me at the subject matter somewhere, please.

    Sorry, I was trying to be to complex and obviously APEX is just too damn cleaver - I figured out how this works - basically APEX pulls the LOV and then matchs the mid to it to display the correct name - simple and easy - just me making it difficult

  • Return value for Direct OBPM SQL Query in OBPM 10GR3

    Hi all,
    I use a direct SQL Query provided by OBPM 10GR3 in my automatic activity to select certain elements from the db. The query is as follows:-
    foreach (element in
    SELECT id FROM TESTTABLE WHERE requestId = 732 and status = 1 )
    // statements
    logMessage("-- The id is-->" +element.id);
    This only returns when the id is found in the db but returns nothing when not found in db?
    How can I always get a return value? atleast a true or false, so that I can put IF statements?
    Because if it returns nothing, the loop does not execute {}? So we cannot put something like:-
    foreach (element in
    SELECT id FROM TESTTABLE WHERE requestId = 732 and status = 1 )
    logMessage("-- The id is-->" +element.id);
    if(element.id == null)
    logMessage("-- Id Not Found -->" );
    else
    logMessage("-- Id Found -->");
    How can I always get a return value from my OBPM direct query ?
    Remember , I am not using DynamicSQL in this case?

    Hi,
    Set a Boolean flag value to False before the SQL query.
    Some thing like:
    boolean flag = false;
    foreach (element in
    SELECT id FROM TESTTABLE WHERE requestId = 732 and status = 1 )
    logMessage("-- The id is-->" +element.id);
    flag = true;
    if(flag) {
    logMessage("-- Id Found -->" );
    else
    logMessage("-- Id Not Found -->");
    Hope the above logic would work fine.

  • Get method return value

    Hi. We're using bytecode instrumentation in a native jvmti agent to monitor method entry/exit. I'd like to capture method return values and report them upon method exit. I see how to obtain local variables, and am indeed doing this when a method is entered; however, I'm not sure how to get a method's return value.
    Thanks for any advice.
    -- david

    You will need to do two things to make this work:
    1) Change the method that your return instrumentation calls to accept a parameter (the return value).
    2) Modify your bytecode instrumentation to call your new function with the return value.

  • How to use stored procedures in DIAdem and Can the stored procedures be used to return values?

    Can anyone please tell me how to use stored procedures in diadem and to return values from it. Its really important, can you please answer it at the earliest.
    Thanks In advance
    spiya

    Hi Spria,
    I'm very sorry for the mix-up, I thought Allen was going to answer you back with the particulars that we found out. Check out the attached Word document and the below tidbits:
    The built-in DIAdem ODBC functions {SQL_...()} can only call stored functions, which return a scaler result {found then in SQL_Result(1,1)}. The syntax for this with an ORACLE db is
    "select function(parameters) from package"
    ...where package defaults to "dual" if you don't use your own package.
    There might be exceptions to that though, and the syntax will be different for other databases. Note that stored ORACLE procedures can NOT be called from the ODBC functions, instead you must use either ADO function calls in the DIA
    dem VBScript or the OO4O COM wrapper that ORACLE provides (this is described in further detail in the below Word document).
    Hope this helps,

  • How to handle return values in AppleScript

    Warning: AppleScript newbie on the loose without adult supervision.
    I have an Omnis Studio app that calls an AppleScript that in turn invokes a couple of shell commands. As an aside, I don't believe Omnis Studio can invoke a shell script directly without other complications.
    What I would like to do is capture the return code and/or any stdout from the shell commands in the AppleScript, then pass that result out as a return value from the AppleScript.
    Q1. How does one hold the return values, exit code, stdout, etc. of a shell script in AppleScript?
    Q2. How do I tell AppleScript to pass the results back to the calling routine?
    Examples, links to documentation, etc, will be gratefully accepted.

  • How to get return values from task flow in af:region ?

    Hi!
    I'm working with a taskFlow that is rendered inside a popup using the "popup inside a region pattern" (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/patterns/popupregionpattern.pdf), but now this taskFlow has an input parameter and a return value definition. So the question is how to get a value returned by this taskFlow thas is called inside a region?
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    write the value to a shared memory scope like session and read it in the regionNavigation listener. If you follow the paper you refer to then the listener determines of the viewId is null, this a return happens. It wuld then look in the memory scope for the return value.
    Another option would be to use an object that you pass as an argument to the task flow you open in the popup. Then you change the object you passed in, which then makes the return information available in teh calling flow. The object you pass in would have to be in a shared scope too
