MY main question is: what forms / database versions are you using (FULL versions e.g. Forms 10.1.2.3 and Database 10.2.0.5)? As the solutions to problems can be version dependend it is highly recommendable to mention versions in the first place. Also please share the platform you are using.

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to attach documents with PO. I want to attach some technical documents with PO please guide me how to attach.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Pavan
    First Save your PO ( ME21N ) and again open with change ( ME22N ) then you can attach document through Service for Object button. Service for Object button available down side of Command screen ( in your PO screen ME22N )
    Click your Service Object button -> Create -> Create attachment
    then select your window directory ( which file you need to attach) select your file Now your system shows message  Service "Create attachment" is started.
    Save again your PO. You can see (open) your attachment in same field ( Service for Object ) select and Create and check attachment list. You can attach as many document in your PO.

  • How to attach a document with the Requisition Workflow?

    I am testing the Oracle Requisition Demo workflow.Whenever i initiate the
    workflow process with Reminder Requisition Document Option.The browser pop up
    with the Error "The requested URL cannot be retrieved". Can anyone please guide me how do i attach a document with this process?
    Regards,

    This field in the demo is designed to execute a PL/SQL procedure not store and attached document.
    for example if you launch it from the demonstration Page instead of the launch process page the following will be populated into the document field. (PLSQL:WF_REQDEMO.REMINDER_REQ_DOCUMENT/WFDEMO:A1)
    You can store a CLOB or BLOB in a workflow document attribute. Here is a link to the doc.
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B13789_01/workflow.101/b10284/defcom11.htm#doc
    If you want to upload and pass documents through a workflow you can do it in a variety of ways. Personally I would use Oracle Files if I wanted it off the shelf. Or use Oracle Text and the database and pass the document throught the workflow as a URL. There is also the CMSDK.

    Then when I click “Select backup Disk”, it goes on like this:

    If you are using the Document to email shortcut in the scan application you will need to use Microsoft outlook to send it. If you are using a web bases email application you will need to do a normal document scan, and then manually attach the document to the email message.

  • How to use Time Machine with newly cloned source disk?

    I've got an iMac (10.6.8) which I'm using with a Time Capsule and Time Machine.
    Recently, the iMac's internal disk started to fail. Instead of going through the effort and expense of replacing it in a fairly old computer, I added an external FireWire disk, cloned the internal disk onto it using Carbon Copy Cloner, and then unmounted the internal disk. Now I'm running the exact same system off the external FireWire disk (with no obvious performance loss, I'm happy to say).
    When Time Machine saw the new disk, it started to prepare to copy everything on it. I don't know if it was going to treat it as a separate set of backups (like a separate computer), or treat it as a massive update to all the files on the same computer.
    Here's what I want to happen, in order of preference:
    (1) Get Time Machine to treat the new disk as the same filesystem as the old disk, and update only the files that have changed.
    (2) Have Time Machine start a new backup folder. The initial backup will be slow of course.
    (3) Time Machine treats the new filesystem as continuous with the old one, but with 300GB of sudden "changes" (because all the files are "different"). This is my least preferred option.
    Can anyone advise me as to what my options are, and to what Time Machine will do if left to its own devices?

    I think that the way that Time Machine works, you will either have to go with your option (3) [inefficient from the perspective of disk space usage] or simply erase the backup drive and start anew with a new Time Machine backup process [efficient from a space usage perspective but you lose all the verisoning info from previous backups].
    Time Machine will see the cloned drive as a physically different drive with lots of files that it has never backed up. I think the only way it could tell that they were the same files content wise as what you had backup up earlier would be to do a bit by bit comparison (which Time Machine does not do). I think Time Machine might look at some file meta data and there might be a way to spoof it so it thinks what you want it to think, but imagine the work required to do this for hundreds of thousands of files. Some disk clone software claims to try to do this and some have bit by bit cloning options, but Time machine will still see that external drive as a physically different (never backed up) drive from the internal one that it has backed up. It might be nice to have a Time Machine option so you could tell it what you want it to assume and do, but Time Machine has a fairly simple interface and doesn't present the user with such an option (to my knowledge).
    If it were me, I would buy a new Time Machine backup drive and use that to backup the external cloned drive (now your primary drive), while saving the original Time machine backup drive as an archive with all its versioning, which provides you with additional backup redundancy and history. After some time has passed, you could eventually decide to erase that (by then, older) Time Machine backup drive and use it for some other purpose.

    Hi
    i have a java program that i want to attach with CRM OD user interface so that i can run it on the press of a button or through any other way. Please suggest me some way to do this.

    Hi,
    The web applet and web tabs features allow you to embed content within CRM On Demand. You can develop an interface to your code (i.e. HTML page containing a button that will invoke your java application) which can appear within the CRMOD UI using these features.

    You cannot attach files like pdf or excel however you can always set a link to your screenshots.
    For example If I have to show my report data or formula or anything I do the following.
    1: Click Printscreen on the keyboard
    2: Open Paint (Microsoft paint from Start>All Programs>accessories --> Paint)
    3: Click Edit and paste
    4: Cut out the unnecessary images
    5: Save the file as Jpeg (File --->Save As --->Jpeg)
    6: Go to [www.photobucket.com] or [www.flikr.com]
    7: Upload the image there
    8: Open a new thread and click on the "chain" icon next to the <> icon which is next to the B I and U icons

  • How-to: OS9 Sharing files with System 7

    Hi,
    I have a beige G3 running OS9. I shared a folder on it using the sharing information pannel in the Finder.
    I have on the other hand, a SE/30 that I want to see the sharing of the OS 9 system. In chooser I cannot see the server appear there.
    Both computers are connected via the phones lines using a phonenet Appletalk adaptor. From the SE/30, I can see my HP printer in chooser, so that make sure the localtalk cables are correct.
    Any idea?
    Thanks

    Steve@Mac,
    When it comes to network connections, once you have rulled out hardware issues as you have done, it is all about checking dialogue boxes. Here is an excellent review known as the Carlson link:
    http://homepage.mac.com/car1son/os9xnet_nfilesharing.html
    Read that, check your settings, take two asprin and call back in the morning. : )
    With any network, devices must see each other. I always start with having the newer seek out the older device. The newer software has the benefit of knowing that the older exists while the software on the SE/30 cannot look into the future to what did not exist at the time. It will only see what has been configured as backwards compatible information from the newer device.
    Once the beige can see the SE/30, then look at the other way around.

  • How to use Time Machine with a laptop?

    Time Machine seems great to me. I already set it up at home, and it's working fine. But now, the big question... What about laptops? I mean, I use my MacBook during the day away from home (I'm not carrying a FW HD everywhere I go, right)... Didn't Apple thought about this?
    Isn't there a way to back up through the internet? C'mon, I have a .Mac account, I can now access my home mac from anywhere... Is this be so hard to do?
    Hope I'm deeply wrong, and there's a solution for it...

    Time Machine was poorly thought out in that it requires a second harddrive. This is kind of silly if you ask me.
    Case in point... if you have a laptop you're not likely to connect your computer to an external drive hourly (or even daily for that matter), so the idea of 'incremental backups' on a laptop is a joke. iMac's aren't much better. The only computer I would think TM is made for is a Mac Pro which can have many harddrives, BUT, chances are if you have a Mac Pro you're running X Server.
    So I can safely say they didn't finish Time Machine, had they the need for a second harddrive wouldn't have been in place. Sounds like they spent more time on the UI than designing the solution. Especially since the backup harddrive isn't bootable.

  • How to attach date time with dumpfile name taken with expdp in solaris

    I have to write script for daily table backup which would run from crontab in solaris platform on daily basis. I am using expdp for the first time, the following command used to work with EXP
    file=/anadbora13/Oracle_Backup/UIBS/dump/inter_UIBS_FM_`date +%d%m%y_%T`.dmp
    But,
    when I am using the following
    dumpfile=inter_UIBS_FM_`date +%d%m%y_%T`.dmp
    i am getting error :
    ORA-39001: invalid argument value
    ORA-39000: bad dump file specification
    ORA-39124: dump file name "+%d%m%y_%T.dmp" contains an invalid substitution variable
    Pls help....Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    You need to build the parfile commands first (using
    server sysdate), and then pass the parfile to
    Oracle:
    touch /tmp/parfile.txt
    Why bother with the 'touch'?
    file=/anadbora13/Oracle_Backup/UIBS/dump/inter_UIBS_FM
    _`date +%d%m%y_%T`.dmp >> /tmp/parfile.txt
    Shouldn't that be 'echo file=.... > /tmp ....'
    Why do you show the redirection to append into the temporary command file?
    Now, execute the utility. . . .
    expdp parfile=/tmp/parfile.txt

  • How to attach Microsoft 2007 files (.docx, .xlsx) using SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND

    Hi,
    Would anyone know how to attach a file with extension .docx or .xlsx to an email using function module SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND?
    I am able to successfully attach .doc or .xls documents.
    The problem stems from the fact that the packing list field 'file_ext' takes a 3-character file extension.  This will not work for .xlsx or .docx since they are 4-character extension.
    I found a few suggestions that said I have to add the filename to the attachment header table....like this:
    data: wa_content TYPE soli.
    CONCATENATE '&SO_FILENAME=' lv_filename INTO wa_content.
    APPEND wa_content TO gt_att_head.
    I then pass gt_att_head to fm 'SO_DYNP_OBJEC_SEND'.
       CALL FUNCTION 'SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND'
         EXPORTING
           object_hd_change = l_title
           object_type      = 'RAW'
           raw_editor       = abap_true
           starting_at_x    = '5'
           starting_at_y    = '1'
           ending_at_x      = '120'
           ending_at_y      = '20'
           edit_title       = 'X'
           external_commit  = abap_true
         TABLES
           packing_list     = gt_packing_list
           att_head         = gt_att_head
           att_cont         = gt_total_att_cont
           exclude_fcode    = i_exclude_fcode
         EXCEPTIONS
           object_not_sent  = 1
           owner_not_exist  = 2
           parameter_error  = 3
           OTHERS           = 4.
    However, when I try to open an .xlsx file, I get the warning:
    "Excel found unreadable content in 'TestFC2.xlsx'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook?  If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes."
    Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?
    Thanks,
    Jennifer

    Hi Andrés,
    Thank you for the suggestions.  I did as you said, but it still did not work.
       DATA: wa_content TYPE soli.
       CONCATENATE '&SO_FILENAME=' lv_filename INTO wa_content.
       APPEND wa_content TO gt_att_head.
       CLEAR:wa_content.
       wa_content = '&SO_FORMAT=BIN'.
       APPEND wa_content TO gt_att_head.
    I am already sending the obtyp as 'EXT' in the packing list.
    * Static data
       gs_packing_list-file_ext = lv_ext.
       gs_packing_list-transf_bin = 'X'.
       gs_packing_list-objla = sy-langu.
       gs_packing_list-objtp = 'EXT'.
       gs_packing_list-objdes = lv_filename.
       gs_packing_list-objnam = 'Attachment'.
       gs_packing_list-head_start = 1.
       gs_packing_list-head_num = 1.
    I can see that the document is attached but when I open the XLSX document, I get the error about unreadable content.
    Any further suggestions are appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Jennifer

  • HT1338 Purchased a used macbook pro with Mountain Lion. My old Mac runs Snow Leopard is backed up to Time machine. How do I register the operating system to me and how do I use Time Machine to move my files to the new used computer?

    Purchased a used macbook pro with Mountain Lion. My old Mac runs Snow Leopard is backed up to Time machine. How do I register the operating system to me and how do I use Time Machine to move my files to the new used computer?

    If you look at the User Tips tab, you will find a write up on just this subject:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4053
    The subject of buying/selling a Mac is quite complicated.  Here is a guide to the steps involved. It is from the Seller's point of view, but easily read the other way too:
    SELLING A MAC A
    Internet Recovery, and Transferability of OS & iLife Apps
    Selling an Old Mac:
    • When selling an old Mac, the only OS that is legally transferable is the one that came preinstalled when the Mac was new. Selling a Mac with an upgraded OS isn't doing the new owner any favors. Attempting to do so will only result in headaches since the upgraded OS can't be registered by the new owner. If a clean install becomes necessary, they won't be able to do so and will be forced to install the original OS via Internet Recovery. Best to simply erase the drive and revert back to the original OS prior to selling any Mac.
    • Additionally, upgrading the OS on a Mac you intend to sell means that you are leaving personally identifiable information on the Mac since the only way to upgrade the OS involves using your own AppleID to download the upgrade from the App Store. So there will be traces of your info and user account left behind. Again, best to erase the drive and revert to the original OS via Internet Recovery.
    Internet Recovery:
    • In the event that the OS has been upgraded to a newer version (i.e. Lion to Mountain Lion), Internet Recovery will offer the version of the OS that originally came with the Mac. So while booting to the Recovery Disk will show Mountain Lion as available for reinstall since that is the current version running, Internet Recovery, on the other hand, will only show Lion available since that was the OS shipped with that particular Mac.
    • Though the Mac came with a particular version of Mac OS X, it appears that, when Internet Recovery is invoked, the most recent update of that version may be applied. (i.e. if the Mac originally came with 10.7.3, Internet Recovery may install a more recent update like 10.7.5)
    iLife Apps:
    • When the App Store is launched for the first time it will report that the iLife apps are available for the user to Accept under the Purchases section. The user will be required to enter their AppleID during the Acceptance process. From that point on the iLife apps will be tied to the AppleID used to Accept them. The user will be allowed to download the apps to other Macs they own if they wish using the same AppleID used to Accept them.
    • Once Accepted on the new Mac, the iLife apps can not be transferred to any future owner when the Mac is sold. Attempting to use an AppleID after the apps have already been accepted using a different AppleID will result in the App Store reporting "These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID".
    • It appears, however, that the iLife Apps do not automatically go to the first owner of the Mac. It's quite possible that the original owner, either by choice or neglect, never Accepted the iLife apps in the App Store. As a result, a future owner of the Mac may be able to successfully Accept the apps and retain them for themselves using their own AppleID. Bottom Line: Whoever Accepts the iLife apps first gets to keep them.
    SELLING A MAC B
    Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
    Step One - Back up your data:
    A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
    B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
    1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
    2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
    3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
    side.
    4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
    sure to opt for that.
    Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
    startup drive.
    Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
    1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
    2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
    3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
    4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
    5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See.What to do with iCloud before selling your computer
    Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
    A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
    1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
    2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
    3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
    Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
    4. Install OS X.
    5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
    6. Shutdown the computer.
    B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
    it is three times faster than wireless.
    1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
    Utilities window appears.
    2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
    3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
    on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
    and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
    5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
    6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
    7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
    8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
    *If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.
