How to attach jpeg photo images to AI artwork

How can I transform the perspective of a jpeg photo image and view the results in AI?  Also, how can I attach this image over another AI vector artwork?  Do I have to convert this rastor jpeg photo image to a vector image before I can do this?

How can I transform the perspective of a jpeg photo image and view the results in AI?
Use Object>Envelope Distort to transform a JPEG or any other image. Once the image is in a distortion mesh it can be distorted using the "Free Transform" tool or you can edit the mesh envelope by altering the mesh points directly, giving you endless control of the distortion.
Alternatively, you could use "Effect>3D>Rotate" to put a bitmap image into perspective.
Also, how can I attach this image over another AI vector artwork?
Not sure what you mean by "attach". You can group the transformed image with other objects. Or, if you find it helpful, you can expand the appearance to perminently distort the image.

  • How to attach multiple photos in a mail?

    does anyone know how to attach multiple photos in a single email, there is no attach button...

    As far as I know, you can e-mail one picture at a time via the photo application.
    Select the picture you want and hit the icon in the lower left hand corner.
    Sorry, I know that is not what you wanted, but I don't know that there is a way to attach multiple photos.

  • In fiefox 4, you can't save attached Jpeg photos, as Jpeg photos, firefox 4 saves then as a html

    After upgrading to Firefox 4, when I down load an attached file ( which is a Jpeg photo, and I'm using Yahoo mail ) Firefox 4 will not save the file as a Jpeg, it wants to save it as a HTML ..... I didn't have this problem with earlier versions of Firefox .... now I have to use another program to convert the image, which is a PIA and adds more time, this is a so called improvement?

    Probably only the file extension is wrong and all you need to do is to rename the files and change the .html to .jpg to get valid JPG image files. If you save files in Firefox then you can add the file extension yourself. If you do not see the .html file extension in Windows Explorer then you need to add quotes around the name while renaming ("image.jpg"). You can check the file type via the right-click context menu > Properties.

  • How to attach a photo to gmail from photo library

    I would like to attach a photo from my photo library onto a gmail.   Unfortunately in finder it just shows the entire library icon, and I can't open it to attach individual photos.  Right clicking doesn't work.
    I do not want to send the photo from the iPhoto as it doesn't connect to my gmail account and it doesn't allow multiple images to be sent, amongst other issues.
    Thanks.

    Depends on details and context - what version of iPhoto? What email client are you using? What exactly do you mean by "attach a photo"? What exactly are yo doing and what problem are you having?

  • How to attach a photo to a marker in imovie 10.06

    I have imovie 10.06 and I've tried to locate a similar feature of snap to beat on my version and have had no luck. I've tried using makers and attach a photo to it, but the photo wont attach. There's something called snapping that I turned on but doesnt seem to do anything! My project is just a bunch of picture that I want to show up to the beat of the song, which is rather fast, so its hard to line it up.

    Ctrl C to copy the image from wherever (finder, safari, preview, etc),
    Ctrl V to paste the image in the text field.
    you can open Finder, navigate to the file and drag it into the message window.
    There was never a camera icon in the public Messages beta release.
    advanced options:
    you can also hit shift+control+command+4 and you will get cross hairs that you can drag across the screen to take a screen grab. this will copy to the clipboard and you can paste it into messages and send it. holding down shift, option, or space bar lets you adjust the area you are taking a screen shot of before you let go of the mouse click
    shift+control+command+4 then hit space will let you take a picture of an application window, it'll save it to your clipboard and you can paste it into the text box of Messages.

  • I am using Aperture 3 to edit RAW and JPEG photo images on my Macbook.  I am having color printing issues with my Canon MP640 Pixma color printer.  The image I see on my macbook is not reciprocated in printing from my printer?

    My issue is that I am not getting print quality compared to the image I see on my screen.  Just recently it has been very wishie washie.  My printer is supposed to be excellent for producing color prints
    I have contacted Canon support but they told me that the signals that are sent to the printer originate from an Apple product, therefore, it is an Apple mac problem not there's.  I am wondering if my on screen proofing and/or printing profiles are correctly set.  I notice that in 'print profiles' there are nine different options for printing from my particular printer.  How confusing is that?
    I have also found that when I choose a high standard print option my photo print comes out very red.
    Can some kind person please help me?  I don't seem to be getting any help from anyone else!  Thanks in anticipation.

    You didn't mention any color calibration being done on your monitor.  This is an essential part of any color-correct workflow.  What are you using to calibrate your monitor (and your printer)?
    Print profiles (for soft-proofing as well as printing) are for specific combinations of paper & printer.  The nine you have are each, most likely, for a common paper (perhaps mfr'd by Canon) to be used with your printer.
    I don't know what you mean when you say "I choose a high standard print option".
    Have you read the User Manual chapter on printing?

    There is also a good appendix on calibration:

  • How Can i Store photo (image) in column of table

    Dear Experts,
    I need to store a employee photo in column so how can i do tha same.

    This assumes that the images in question currently reside on the database server. If you want to upload images into the database from a client machine, you will need an extra step where you move the files to the appropriate directory or directories on the server. This example will store the images in a BLOB column, rather than a much more flexible interMedia ORDImage column. A BLOB column is fine if you only want to store and retrieve the image, but interMedia gives you significantly more flexibility to manipulate the image, extract metadata, etc.
    Create the directory
    First, you will want to tell Oracle where it can find the images you want to insert into the database. The easiest way to do this is to create a directory object. In this case, I will be loading images from 'c:\temp\img\'.
    CREATE DIRECTORY images AS 'c:\temp\img\'
    If you don't have the CREATE DIRECTORY privilege, you will need to have someone else, like your DBA, create the directory and grant you READ access to it.
    GRANT READ ON DIRECTORY images TO scott;
    Create the Table to Hold the Images
    CREATE TABLE images (
    image_name VARCHAR2( 100 ),
    mime_type VARCHAR2( 100 ),
    content BLOB
    Create a Stored Procedure to Load the Image
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE load_image( file_name VARCHAR2 )
    AS
    file_lob BFILE;
    binary_lob BLOB;
    mime_type images.mime_type%type;
    extension_pos NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    -- Use the extension of the file name to determing the MIME-type
    -- The MIME-type for a .JPG file will be image/jpg
    extension_pos := INSTR( file_name, '.' );
    mime_type := 'image/' || SUBSTR( file_name,
    extension_pos + 1,
    LENGTH( file_name ) );
    -- Insert a new row into the images table. Get the LOB locator
    -- for the newly inserted row-- we will be using that to insert
    -- the content from the file.
    INSERT INTO IMAGES( image_name, mime_type, content )
    VALUES( file_name, mime_type, empty_blob() )
    RETURNING content INTO binary_lob;
    -- Open up the file in the IMAGES directory named file_name,
    -- load that file into the newly created LOB locator, and
    -- close the file
    file_lob := BFILENAME( 'IMAGES', file_name );
    dbms_lob.fileOpen ( file_lob, dbms_lob.file_readOnly );
    dbms_lob.loadFromFile( binary_lob,
    file_lob,
    dbms_lob.getLength( file_lob ) );
    dbms_lob.fileClose ( file_lob );
    END;
    Load the Image
    scott@jcave > exec load_image( 'sample.jpg' );

  • Attaching JPEG photos Can Not Be Opened on PC

    Recently, recipients of Emails from me (sent on Mac) who have PC can not open any of the jpeg pictures I attach to the emails. I have set the Mail to make attachments PC friendly, and have also changed the attached pictures to icons. On the PC's, apparently the icons do not even appear on the received emails as shown on the PC. Apparently, the PC owner can try to right click on the pictures and download as BMP, but that is not what is needed. The material I have read is that PC owners should be able to download the jpegs. What am I doing wrong?

    My point was that you would need to narrow down the issue a little before being able to identify the cause. For example, if you send an attachment to a recipient who's using a certain email program, and the next week you send another attachment of the same type and similar size, and he receives it using the same program, and different behaviour is seen, then there's something awry.
    It's not that an email client is dealing with the attachment or message "incorrectly", it's that each program might deal with it in a different way.
    If a different email program is used by the recipient each time (for example, one time he uses Windows Mail, and another time he uses webmail) then different behaviour can be expected. Or if either the sender or recipient upgrades their operating system betweentimes, then that might create an inconsistency.

  • How to convert JPEG - PNG images using java?

    Hi,
    Has anyone done this before?
    Can you provide me with a sample code or point me to the direction on how this can be done?
    Are there any existing Java technology that supports this?
    Most grateful. Thanks.

    It's should be easy using Java Advanced Imaging (JAI). Try this.
    import javax.media.jai.JAI;
    import javax.media.jai.RenderedOp;
    public class convert {
      static public void main(String[] args) {
        String inName = args[0];
        String outName = args[1];
        RenderedOp source = JAI.create("fileload", inName);
        JAI.create("filestore", source, outName, "PNG", null);
        System.exit(0);
    }

  • How can I attach a photo as a separate file to an email? (I have tried several of the tricks suggested here and they don't work for me)

    I cannot work out how to attach a photo as an attachment to an email.  I have tried several times today using different methods (ie, changing the email to plain text, dragging the photo from Iphoto over the mail icon, emailing directly from Iphoto), but none of them work.  Everything seems to just produce an email with an embedded photo.  Any ideas?

    Is this the first time your friend receives e-mail from a Mac user?
    It is certainly the first time I have sent her emails from a Mac.  Not sure if she has ever received messages from another Mac user before.
    You've sent her e-mails with pictures before, but only now you're having a problem
    Yes, that's correct.
    Mail.app offers two settings you can try to manipulate: Edit > Attachments > Always send Windows-friendly attachments, and, Always insert attachments at end of message
    I had already tried that and it didn't work.
    e-mail client your friend is using
    I will find out on Monday when she goes back to work, but I wanted to look at solving the problem firstly from my end.
    very likely you're dealing with a problem others have dealt with
    Yes, very likely - I searched the site before I posted my own question, and there were quite a number of posts on the same issue.
    Again, thanks everyone for your help.  Hopefully we can find a solution.  I am not making you all grope in the dark just to annoy you!!!  I'm just a new Mac user trying to work something out.  I am sorry if it seemed otherwise.
