How to attach scanned doc to email? (iPad 1)

I would like to email docs scanned in from HP AIO.  How do I do that? Note: iPad 1, with no camera or camera roll)

Start in the Photos app and use the icon top right of the box with the arrow coming out of it to select the photo and attach it to an email - if you are in thumbnail view in the Photos app you can use the same icon to select up to 5 photos to attach to an email via the Share button at the top left of the screen

    You attach files within the app that creates the file or within the app that the file is saved. For example you email photos from within  the Photos App itself. Typically there will be an action icon within the app - an arrow icon many times - you tap on that to bring other options like Share - then Email.
    Attachments must be mailed within the apps themselves.

    Paste this into Terminal and hit return. If this attachment is text, it should work. Not sure about jpegs.

    To reverse the setting, change the 1 to a 0.

  • Problem attaching scanned documents to email.

    After scanning and saving a document, I use the Attach function to attach it to an email.  That appears to work, but the document then cannot be opened and an error message appears that says an erroc occurred in opening.  As an alternative, I close Reader and open a new email, then use the Insert function to attach the saved scan.  That works, but doing it directly from rReader would be a lot handier.

    I'm using the Iphone 5 for last 6 months.. but i'm still not a able to find a solution to do a simple task of attaching a .doc/.xls/.ppt file which is stored on my iPhone. Why it cant be made simple like other handsets and OS. Its so frustrating while traveling that if i have to send an attachment over a mail thread it can not be done in s simple attach file option. A complete new mail thread has to be started just to send a simple file. I think its high time that Apple really address the business needs which are logical to be there in such a supposedly high tech phone.
    I hope Apple is listening.. mean while if some has a solution please share.... really Important.

    If you are using Gmail or iCloud mail, a combination of the apps Mailbox and Dropbox work nicely. If it is a company MS Exchange deployement, Mail+ for Outlook will do the same with DropBox or Box (plus gives you your mail, tasks, and calendar in one app).

    Hi Pavan
    First Save your PO ( ME21N ) and again open with change ( ME22N ) then you can attach document through Service for Object button. Service for Object button available down side of Command screen ( in your PO screen ME22N ) 
    Click your Service Object button -> Create -> Create attachment 
    then select your window directory ( which file you need to attach) select your file Now your system shows message  Service "Create attachment" is started. 
    Save again your PO. You can see (open) your attachment in same field ( Service for Object ) select and Create and check attachment list. You can attach as many document in your PO.

    Gw 6.5--Long time DMS user and this question arose today--no one never
    noticed before. When a library doc is attached to a document, a static copy
    is attached--fine. Does that static copy of the doc go to the trash folder
    after the email is sent? User has an item in his trash for every attachment
    of the last 2 days, file type icon has a "#" next to it as listed in the
    trash folder. I could not find documentation to verify that is how static
    copies are handled. Trash is auto deleted avery 3 days. thanks.

    I have a laptop and run a Windows environment.
    Current situation:   There are various folders which I have previously created in Dropbox and all of these folders and their contents are available on my ipad.  However, only one of those folders appears on my wife's ipad in her DropBox.    I don't know why that is, or what I have done for just that one folder to be on her ipad.
    Today, I have created a new folder on my PCs Dropbox, for docs which were just going to be for my wife.   This folder appears on my ipad but not my wife's.  
    Another fact:   I notice on my ipad that the Dropbox App version is 3.3, while the version on my wife's ipad is 2.3.1.   How do I update my wife's version?

    Thanks for your answer.  You guess right.  I have my personal mail in Apple Mail program but my business account is via Google Apps for work so operates like a gmail account and that's the one I need for attachments.  The Pages version I have is 5.2(1860).  It would be good to fix if I can without having to make the extra step of pdf conversion.  I purchased the computer a week ago and it's OSX 10.9.5 which I guess is the latest version.  Should I upgrade to Yosemite? Perhaps that has a later version of Pages?  Thanks again. Barbara

    Are you using Apple's Mail program?  Or a web browser like Safari?   Either way, while composing a message look for a button with a paper clip symbol on it.  Clicking on that will then give you a dialog box for selecting the attachment.  In Mail you can also just drag and drop files into the message window.
