How to authorize more than one computer

Hello,
Just donwloaded an ebook for an exam and succesfully loaded in my computer.
Now the problem is that I can't visualize it on my laptop because I can't authorize the computer with the same Adobe ID. How do I do that? What do I have to do to be able to see the file both on my iMac and on my laptop?
Both are running Mac Os X Snow Leopard and Digital Editions 2.0.
thanks.

Are you getting an error when you try to authorize your laptop? If so, what does the error say?
If not, you can authorize your laptop by going to the Help menu and selecting Authorize Computer...
If that option is disabled, it means that your laptop is already authorized. Go to Help -> Authorization Information... to see which account is authorized. If it is not the account you're using on your iMac, you have 2 options:
De-authorize your laptop - Command-Shift + D (or Ctrl-Shift + D), or
Join the 2 accounts using Adobe's Account Synchronization page
If you join the accounts, you will be able to read books from both accounts on your laptop. Once accounts are joined, they cannot be un-joined.

  • How to authorize more than one device on my adobe digital editions Ebook reader

I have a computer, iPhone and iPad, and can't read a downloaded ebook (EPUB) on more than one device  at a time. If I try to open the item on my Overdrive account with a device other than the one I originally used when I downloaded the ebokk,  it gives me an error code "Fullfill  2004. This license has already been fulfilled by another user".  When I contacted Overdrive Media  they explained that I need to contact Adobe to authorize my various devices to have access to my Overdrive account which utilizes Adobe digital editions 4.0
Please provide info on how to authorize my additional devises to have access to downloaded e-books  on my overdrive account

Please authorize your devices with same credentials in order to read the book across devices.

  • How to authorize more than 5 computers in itunes

is there a way to authorize more than one computer so that I can have my itunes library matched through all my computers?

iTunes Match supports up to 10 devices — including your computer, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Apple TV.
iTunes Match on a computer requires authorization so you are actually limited to 5 computers and the rest of the slots can be iOS devices.

  • Can you sync an iPad 2 to more than one computer.

I got a new ipad2. Can I sync it with my Mac at my house and also on my pc at work

You can authorize more than one computer with iTunes, but you have to maintain your iTunes library on one machine.  Otherwise, you'll have a syncing nightmare.  So, it's not advisable to sync to more than one computer as you'll be in a situation where you'll lose data from one machine to the next.  Come this fall when iOS 5 is released, you won't need to sync with a computer at all.  For the time being, I recommend you limit syncs to one computer.........

How can I use my iPod nano on more than one computer?

    Hi, China6450.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would recommend setting up Manually manage music.  This will only allow music to be synced from the computer to the iPod nano.  Here are some helpful articles that will walk you through the process.

  • I use more than one computer to access my four business email accounts. When one computer is on (and mail is open) emails do not get through to the other computers. This is fine, but how do I make one of the other computers the dominant one?

I use more than one computer to access my four business email accounts. When one computer is on (and mail is open) emails do not get through to the other computers. This is fine, but how do I make one of the other computers the dominant one?

I assume these are POP accounts and all computers are set to remove from Server after downloading.
So on the non dominant ones... Mail Preferences>Accounts, highlight an account, Advanced tab, uncheck remove from Server, just have the main dominant one remove from server.
    Or get/setup IMAP accounts.

  • How can I synchronize safely from more than one computer?

First, I have set up my iPod to work with two computers: my primary computer, which is my desktop at home. Later, I also "authorized" my laptop (as a secondary source) to also be able sync to my iPod.
My question is that when I go to synchronize some podcasts I just downloaded to my secondary computer (my laptop), I get the following prompt: "Are you sure you want to sync podcasts? All existing podcsts on the iPod '<my iPod's name>' will be replaced with podcasts from your iTunes library."
From this message, since my iPod is plugged into my laptop, I assume it's referring to my iTunes library on my laptop (which only has the few podcasts I just downloaded). And it sounds like it's going to delete the podcasts that are already on my iPod.
I definitely don't want it to "replace" the ones I already have sync'd from my home computer; +_I just want to add the ones I have downloaded to my laptop._+ How can I make it so I can safely add the new ones without disturbing those I already have sync'd and want to keep? I'm a bit confused about how syncing works when you have more than one computer to sync to the iPod.

You cannot do what you want.
The ipod touch can sync with ONE computer/library at a time.
When you sync to a different computer/library, the ipod touch will first delete the current itunes content form the iphone, then it will sync the content from the new computer.
This is the way it is designed.

  • How to use ipod w/ more than one computer

I am new to ipod. I set it up on my laptop, and have all uploaded my cds to my ipod from there. I do nat have internet at home, so tried using my parents computer. How do you use the ipod with another computer that doesn't have all your songs on it? When I go to sync it, it ask if i want to delete all my ipod songa and replace with the ones on the other computer. I am trying to get album artwork. What am I not doing right?

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library. Even when manually managing an iPhone, you can only add content from one iTunes library.

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that way you can continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it.

  • How can i get apple tv2 to recognize more than one computer in my house

how can i get apple tv2 to recognize more than one computer in my house, I just got it and can only find one of two computers in my home

Same here. I have 1 ATV2 and 2 computers and each has separate iTunes accounts (mine and my wife's). The ATV menu says "computers" so I presume you can have more than 1 computer on 1 ATV. The big question is how do you set it up?

  • ITunes on more than one computer - how??

iTunes tells me I'm registered on more than one computer, but I'm not aware of it!
    1) How do I find out which computers I'm on? I can't find where to go.
    2) How do I delete them if I don't want them?

There is no way to tell what specific computers are authorized. Apple can't track them...only count them.
You say you were unaware that you had two authorized. Have you perhaps replaced the hard drive in your computer? If so, that would count as a second one if you didn't deauthorize it before the hard drive replacement.

  • How do i have more than one computer to apple tv

how do i have more than one computer to apple tv

My answer is based on guessing what your question is since it seems a little incomplete.
When enabling home sharing with an Apple ID on your Apple TV, this can be done with one Apple ID only. Now when enabling home sharing on your iTunes device you need to use the same Apple ID. You can do this with several devices, however the Apple TV will always only find the first device that comes online since it cannot differentiate between different home sharing devices with the same Apple ID.
When using AirPlay you just need to be on the same network with your device. For example I can go to my best friend and watch my movie there on his Apple TV and vice-versa unrelated from the fact that we use different Apple IDs of course.
I hope this answers your question.

We have more than one computer at home. How do we get the songs from each computer onto one I-Pod?

Copy the songs to a computer that is running iTunes, add those new tracks to the current library, and then synch those tracts to the iPod.
