How to authorize two computers on 1 ID

Hi everybody,
I need to authorize two computers on 1 ID for the adobe digital editions. When i try i get the message that this is not possible because my ID is used before. There most be a solution for this? Can anyone help me?

I've solved this issue. My data in the underlying tables was corrupt. It's now working.

Yes, it can affect your library. Back up to an external hard disk drive by copying the files within Windows, just drag and drop the folder. Unless you have USB 3 or eSATA, this likely will take a while...my iTunes folder is a bit over 300 GB, and takes about 6 hours through USB 2.0!
I'll warn you AGAINST using iTunes built-in back-up utility. I've it when switching computers, and IT WILL NOT allow you to import from the back-ups to a new computer! On the other hand, as long as the new computer can read the external hard-disk drive's format (FAT32 for maximum compatibility, but NTFS will usually work; Windows machines will require an add-in to recognize Apple's own hard drive format, or you can use your Apple to format the disk as FAT32 if you're starting with an Apple computer and a new hard drive.
Once your files are drag-and-drop copied, you can take them anywhere.
AFTER you have made your copy, go ahead and deauthorize the machines.
SEE, what roaminggnome doesn't mention is that if you've been using iTunes for a long time, the oldest files were copy-protected and require authorization. When you deauthorize all computers, you may lose authorization to play those files...this falls under "$#!7 happens." It's happened to me (I've been using iTunes since before the iPod) and it's happened to one of my sisters, when she switched from an iBook to a Dell/Windows laptop! By backing up, THEN deauthorizing, you avoid that problem.
Read carefully and follow carefully the Apple articles about backing up DRM (Digital Rights Management), especially if you're dealing with Apple OS X! SERIOUSLY!

If you don't have access to the computers to manually deauthorize them (they were sold, stolen, etc), then you have to log into your account, deauthorize all computers, and then re-authorize the machine(s) that you want to have access. This page explains how.

How to connect two computers in one room to a router in a 2nd room?

I have a Linksys modem and WRT54G router in an entry panel in my laundry room. I have newer house with cat5 cables connected from the router to computers in various rooms. In the room that we use as an office, we want to connect a 2nd computer to the network, but there is only one ethernet jack on the wall and that jack is used for the first (existing) computer in the room. I don't want to use a wireless connection for 2nd computer.
How do I connect the 2nd computer to network? Do I connect both computers to a hub in the office and connect the hub to the ethernet jact on the wall?

On a PC i have Windows 7 in running in German, and Firefox also in german. My MacBook Pro is running in English, so Firefox also does.
When Firefox is syncing, both language phrases are synced. The English version adds "Recently Bootmarked" and "Recent Tags" ... the German Version adds "Kürzlich als Lesezeichen gesetzt" und "Kürzlich verwendete Schlagwörter". These entries are the same, only language sensitive.

Not sure if this is the right forum for the issue, but... I have a iMac G5 and a MacBook, and I use one or the other for my work. That way I get part of my work on one, and other part on the other Mac. Now, I would like to sinc both of them, so that I have all the files from iMac on the MB, vice versa. I know that I could go slowly and use an external hard drive, copy files from one computer, save on another, but is there any handier and faster way to do it?

Wrt54g how to wire two computers

I have wrt54g wireless router. I have one pc hard wired to router another pc wireless, my third pc I tried wireless but could not connect to internet. So i ran an ethernet line from the router to the pc. I still can't get internet. What do I need to do. The pc has windows 2000 and has had internet before.

Is your windows 2000 showing up in Local network in your router?

No that is not possible.
You talk about a synchronized system. iCloud is doing something similar to work on the same document on different computers and have them synchronized. However that creates a problem if two computers (users) updating the same file which creates a conflict because the computer doesn't know which file to update wiht what.
However, Logic has a very easy feature to import tracks from one Project to another. It is the Browser window.
Mount each other's computer so you have access to the individual Project on each other's computer
Open the Browser window in Logic in your Project and navigate to to your friends Project
Select that Project and pick any Track (optional: content, plugin, settings, etc)
If you want to update only the data, just select that track and only its content and choose overwrite existing Track.
Play around a bit and you will see that it is an amazing (often overlooked and underrated) feature.

If a computer that has been authorized for your iTunes account cannot be de authorized for either of those reasons, you will have to perform a De Authorize All with the Store menu in iTunes on a computer you do have access to. Keep in mind that this can only be done 1 time a year, and that any computers you have access to at the moment that ARE authorized will need to be authorized again. This article will help you do that:
If you don’t have access to your computer anymore, you need to deauthorize all computers, then authorize the ones you’re still using.
After you authorize two computers, you'll have the option to deauthorize all computers for your Apple ID. You can deauthorize all computers once a year.
