  • Performance Report using OEM-11g

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to get the Monthly Database performance report using OEM Grid Control... I am able to grab only one week data in Historical option....
    Thanks In advance

    I have the same problem in OEM 11g, the calendar on the Performance tab - Historical selection - only shows "January 0" and can not be changed...a bug?
    Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 database on AIX.
    Using OEM Cloud 12c on some test instances again 11.2 on AIX and it works fine there.
    Any updates?

  • SCOM health Check report

    please suggest me how to generate SCOM health check report and automation for the same. I am using scom 2007 R2.
    And need all windows servers health check report from scom as well...?

    Hi
    As a good starting point you could use these reports

    https://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2010/07/21/system-center-central-some-really-cool-opsmgr-health-reports-available.aspx. Which give you a pretty good picture of your environment.

  • Vmware vsphere health check report v5.1.0

    Hi,
    I'm currently using the vmware vsphere health check report v5.1.0 script. I switched from another perl script to this and the report provide much more information. There is one thing that don't seem to work properly though..
    I currently have a failed disk in my server and the report is showing "unknown" status next to 3 disk / disk day. If I run the other script I have used in the past, I have 3 alerts in red clearly showing that something has failed. Would any of you know why it's showing as unknown instead of critical in the report?

    Thank you for the follow up. I do understand that a completly unreadable disk might throw an unknown status but the status is different from one report than the other. On one side, it clearly shows in red that the disk has something and on the side, it just throws a "I don't know what's going on with the disk". I ran both report the same day and i'm expecting some red in the report to warn me if a disk fail.
    Is there a way to change that behavior from the health check script?

  • How to automate the data load process using data load file & task Scheduler

    Hi,
    I am doing Automated Process to load the data in Hyperion Planning application with the help of data_Load.bat file & Task Scheduler.
    I have created Data_Load.bat file but rest of the process i am unable complete.
    So could you help me , how to automate the data load process using Data_load.bat file & task Scheduler or what are the rest of the file is require to achieve this.
    Thanks

    To follow up on your question are you using the maxl scripts for the dataload?
    If so I have seen and issue within the batch (ex: load_data.bat) that if you do not have the full maxl script path with a batch when running it through event task scheduler the task will work but the log and/ or error file will not be created. Meaning the batch claims it ran from the task scheduler although it didn't do what you needed it to.
    If you are using maxl use this as the batch
    "essmsh C:\data\DataLoad.mxl" Or you can also use the full path for the maxl either way works. The only reason I would think that the maxl may then not work is if you do not have the batch updated to call on all the maxl PATH changes or if you need to update your environment variables to correct the essmsh command to work in a command prompt.

  • Schedule Disoverer reports Using OEM

    Hi All
    Has anyone scheduled Oracle Discoverer reports using OEM ?
    Thanks
    Diwakar

    Are you using OEM 9i or 10g GC?
    Statistics gathering is done in a different way depending on which platform you are on. However, when you submit a job to do anything including stats gathering, the job is scheduled by OEM and sent to the agent. So, you can close your "client" because it's not doing anything. The job has been submitted and will run as scheduled.

    As part of the Service Monitoring for our OFM-OUCM environment, we have implemented OEM 11g R1. Our Dev/Test/UAT/Prod environment is comprised of SOA 10.1.3.5, WCI 10.3, UCM 10.1.3.5, multiple DB instances 10.2.0.3/10.2.0.4, IDM 10.1.4.0.1. We are able to monitor SOA 10.1.3.5, IDM 10.1.4.0.1 & the databases. But the 11g Agent wasnt able to discover the targets for WCI 10.3.0 & UCM 10.1.3.5. Is there a way to monitor UCM 10gR3 & WCI 10.3 using OEM 11g R1 or do we need to downgrade the OEM version.
    We are able to see the WCI Products in the Hosts -> Configuration tab in OEM. But we are not able to monitor these as targets.

  • How to automatically attached multiple PDF reports to an e-mail and send

    Hello.
    I have a requirement to generate multiple PDF reports using Oracle Reports 6i on the web, then automatically attach these PDF reports to an Outlook e-mail and then bring up the Outlook e-mail dialog box so the user can modify the e-mail (such as adding more attachments, adding a CC, BC, change the message text) before sending the e-mail. I want to be able to initiate all these tasks from Oracle webforms 6i in a three-tier environment.
    I have already read various notes and solutions but none of them address all my requirements. Examples:
    1. Using OLE to interface with Outlook - but OLE does now work on the Web
    2. Using Java stored procedure or UTL_SMTP - but this does not bring-up an e-mail dialog box
    3. Using mailto: in HTML and web.show_document - but this does not allow you to attach a PDF file
    Can you please advise on possible solutions to my requirements. Thank you very much.
    Regards,
    Armando

    Here is a great resource for sending binaries.
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/pl_sql/htdocs/Utl_Smtp_Sample.html
    You'll want to use utl_http to run each report with a destype=file and then have another procedure running to check to see when all of your reports have finished. After they are finished, you would run the stored procedure to get all of the binaries, attach them in an email and then send it.
    If you want to concate all of the PDF files into one large file, you can do this with a Java stored procedure using iText.

    i am making a report in APEX. user selects two dates and clicks GO button - i have a Stored Procedure linked to that result region so Stored Procedure gets called.
    my stored procedure does the following -
    using specified dates (IN) i do query and put data into a table (this table has been created only for this report) -
    i want to show all these data i entered into the table on my APEX report in the same procedure call. can i use ref cursor to return? how to do that?
    currently, i use another button in APEX which basically fetches all data from table. basically, user clicks one button to generate report and then another button to get report. which is not desirable at all :(
    i m using APEX      3.1.2.00.02 and Oracle 10 database.
    pls let me know if you need further clarification of the problem. thanks in advance.
    regards,

    Thanks Tony.
    I am not sure what you meant by >> change the report to be based off of a query returning sql statement, no need to keep that table around.... >>
    Here's my stored procedure
    create or replace
    PROCEDURE ABC_PROC (
    START_DATE IN DATE,
    END_DATE IN DATE
    AS
    RULE_REC MTG_OFFICER_FORECAST%ROWTYPE;
    TYPE REF_CURSOR IS REF CURSOR;
    TCUR REF_CURSOR;
    BEGIN
    DELETE FROM ABC_REPORT;
    OPEN TCUR FOR
    SELECT ABC_FORECAST.*
    from MTG_OFFICER_FORECAST , MTG_USERS
    WHERE MTG_OFFICER_FORECAST.NBR_OFFICER = MTG_USERS.NBR_OFFICER AND
    MTG_OFFICER_FORECAST.NBR_INSTITUTION = MTG_USERS.NBR_INSTITUTION;
    LOOP
    FETCH TCUR INTO RULE_REC;
    EXIT WHEN TCUR%NOTFOUND;
    INSERT INTO ABC_REPORT( NBR_OFFICER, OFFICER_NAME, FORECAST_NBR_LOANS, FORECAST_LOAN_AMT, FORECAST_FEES,
    ACTUAL_NBR_LOANS, ACTUAL_LOAN_AMT, ACTUAL_FEES, RATIO_NBR_LOANS, RATIO_LOAN_AMT, RATIO_FEES, NBR_INSTITUTE )
    VALUES ( RULE_REC.NBR_OFFICER, RULE_REC.NAME_LOAN_OFFICER, RULE_REC.NBR_LOANS, RULE_REC.AMT_LOAN, RULE_REC.AMT_FEES,
    ACTUAL_NBR_LOANS, ACTUAL_LOAN_AMOUNT, ACTUAL_FEES, SUCCESS_RATIOS_NBR_LOANS_PERC, SUCCESS_RATIOS_LOAN_AMT_PERC, SUCCESS_RATIOS_FEES_PERC, RULE_REC.NBR_INSTITUTION );
    END LOOP;
    CLOSE TCUR;
    END ABC_PROC;
    Thanks,

  • How to get which query is using by reports using OEM

    Hi,
    can any one help me how to get the queries whcih are used by reports by clent by using OEM. Its same like using profiler in sql server

    In my installation , it is usually AQZZ"usergroup"========QUERYNAME======
    You could see if you have a user group 'MM' or '10MM' in SQ03 and set the user group if available.. then in SQ01, see if you have a query called Z6
    Also try out this function module RSAQ_DECODE_REPORT_NAME to see if it would give you the user group and query name...

  • How to disable CD-DRIVE checking, while using a Dolphin file manager

    Hello.
    I  would like ask for a help. I have one problem that's quite annoying. It is related to checking cd-drive when using a dolphin file menager. It always cheecks it when Dolphin is launched from K or launcher on taskbar for the first time, again it happens when i close it and open again.
    Is there a way to disable checking of cd-drive in Dolphin? This behaviour occurs on KDE with all linux system that i checked: Slackware, Arch, Kubuntu. Look at this:
    Disabling CD-DRIVE checking, while using a file manager
    I would like to disable it in order to speed up opening Dolphin, launching it.

    Udisks2 is what dolphin uses to handle external drives of all kinds (USB, optical, etc).  Udisks is an automounting tool that allows normal users to mount disks.  The permission handling before was handled with consolekit and has now been replaced by systemd-logind (which is much better anyway).  So what I am suggesting is that it might be that dolphin is using udisks2 as the tool that polls for the existence of a disc in your optical drive.
    Unfortunately, it is a bit more confusing than that because udisks2 is the replacement for the original udisks.  It is totally different and not compatible.  So I remember seeing a way to turn off optical drive polling, but I cannot remember if it was udisks or udisks2.  But it was done with a udev rule.
    So I think if you tried to google for "udisks optical (or cd or dvd) polling" or something like that, you might be able to figure out how this is done.
    Edit: unfortunately, I do not use dolphin or udisks2.  But I do have the original udisks installed.
    Edit2: It seems that the method I remembered is for the original udisks.

  • How to call a drill down report using hyperlink ?

    Can anyone please give an example to call a drill down report using hyper link in Reports 10g ?
    Regards
    Capri !!!

    Hi,
    I've been using this approach in a couple of reports and it works great with one problem. Even if I include the srw.set_hyperlink_attr('target=_new") it still launches the drill report in the current window. When the user hits the back button it doesn't take them back to the main report it takes them back to the reports/rwservlet? page. Can you see if there is anything I'm doing wrong...would be a really cool report if I could force it to open a new window.
    Here is what my code looks like:
    srw.set_hyperlink(:P_SERVER || 'dwn&report=transaction2_v8.rdf' ||
    '&PARAM_COMP_NUM=1' || '&PARAM_ACTV1=' || TRIM(:actvty_cd) || '&PARAM_ACTV2=&PARAM_ACTV3=&PARAM_ACTV4=&PARAM_ACTV5=&PARAM_ACTV6=' ||
    '&PARAM_START_DATE=&PARAM_END_DATE=' || '&PARAM_FY_NUM=' || vYear || '&PARAM_PERIOD=0' || '&PARAM_ACTVTY_GRP=%20' ||
    '&PARAM_LIST=%20' || '&PARAM_START_ACCT_CAT=' || TRIM(vCat) || '&PARAM_END_ACCT_CAT=' || trim(vCat2)|| '&PARAM_SYS_CODE=%20' ||
    '&PARAM_SRC_CODE=%20' || '&PARAM_DATA_TYPE_CD=P' || '&PARAM_ACT_STATUS=%20');
    SRW.SET_TEXT_COLOR('blue');
    srw.set_hyperlink_attrs('target=_new');
    Also I get different behavior if the user saves the PDF and opens the report through their pdf reader.
    Thanks for your help
