How to automate the adding of page numbers to bookmark and how to export bookmarks?

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro (not aware of any miningful reason to upgrade).
Also, if someone knows about a decent application that is capable of combining PDFs into a PDF file of size larger than 2GB that would be highly appreciated.
Acrobat can combine but can't save files larger than 2GB...
Thanks,
David

Hello Tavares,
What you seek can be done, but before that you must know from where you want to take the data. In what form you will get the data in and where you want to use it and how.
Your problem is what we call an architectural issue. If possible please write to me at [email protected]
With the above information - I shall be able to help you to some extent.

How do I get pages, numbers, keynote, iPhoto and iMovie to update after installing OS X 10.10? I have the original disk.

Cancel the updates. Delete the apps. Redownload them from the Purchases tab in the App Store.

  • If I help out a friend & download a free app (through my iTunes account) on their new iPod Touch, will their device automatically be added to my itunes device list (and they can see all my contacts, pix, music etc)?

If I help out a friend & download a free app (through my iTunes account) on their new iPod Touch, will their device automatically be added to my itunes device list (and they can see all my contacts, pix, music etc)?

Just wondering, what context is this in?
First up, is your iTunes account part of an iCloud account?
Secondly, if it's a free app, why don't they just download it? If they are having trouble finding it on the App Store, but you can find it easily, you can share the link for it via email with them, and if they view that email on their iPod they can just tap the link and it will open the App Store to that App for them, so they can download it themselves.
If you were to go to the Store settings pane and sign in with your iTunes account, that should only provide the possibility for download items from your iTunes account, such as purchased apps, music and movies. However, if you signed in, downloaded the app, and then went back and signed out of the account again, there shouldn't be any access apart from the app you downloaded. This is provided you sign in using the Store section of the Settings app, not the iCloud section.
One problem they will have if you download this in your account instead of theirs, in order to download updates for that app, they will need you to enter your iTunes password to download the updates. Doing that doesn't give them access to anythign to do with your account other than that update, but they will be unable to receive updates for it without your password. They would also likely be unable to sync the app onto their computer, as their computer would not be Authorised with your iTunes account.
If you can answer some of the questions I've asked, I may be able to suggest alternate ways for you get them the app on their device.
Hope this all helps a bit

  • TS3899 I am unable to access my mail account. I press the mail icon, the page refreshes to the mail format page - blue bar top and bottom, white text space in the middle.... and that is as far as it goes. It does not list my email accounts or offer any.

I am unable to access my mail account on my iphone, which I have been able to do previously. I press the mail icon, the page refreshes to the mail format page - blue bar top and bottom, white text space in the middle.... and that is as far as it goes. It does not list my email accounts or offer any.

Close the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

  • How to automate the updating of a dimension - both members and properties

I need to automate the updqating of one of my dimensions in BPC 5.1 using SSIS.  I've tried the "Admin_Makedim.dtsx" that comes with the system.  It completes succesfully, but nothing is actually changed or updated in the dimension.
Has anyone sucessfully used this package?  If so, does it recognize (and handle) changes to properties of existing dimension members?

I created an SSIS package that performs most of what you're looking for, including updating the XLS file.  Please note, that the entire table must be updated.  There is no way that I know of yet on how to update incrementally.
Below is the documentation I created for the package (pictures are omitted by the blog).
I will email you a copy of the package and the full documentation as well.
*APPENDIX 10 REQUIRED EXCEL INPUT FILE*
    Contents
Meta data (or master data) can be updated automatically thru a daily batch job.  A sample of the Excel file is below.  It contains all the properties defined for that dimension.  In addition, four additional system processed columns needs to be populated if this file is updated from the back-end.  They are:
Calc – (Y/N) Is the member a calculated field?  This includes all parent members which are calculated by aggregating their children.
DimCalc – (Y/N) Is the member a dimension calculation field? These are members that are represented by formulas, rather than entered, fed or aggregated.
IsBaseMem – (Y/N) Is the member a Base Member, a field that is entered in manually or fed in at the lowest level of the hierarchy?
Hir – Which hierarchies does the member belong to?  If the member belongs to multiple hierarchies, then they are listed with semicolons.  For example, a member belonging to both Parent H1 and Parent H2, would have this field filled in as:  H1;H2
    Location
The Excel file is located at:
    C:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\[Application Name]\AdminApp\[Dimension Name].xls
When the Excel file is to be replaced, the new one should be placed and named at:
    C:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\[Application Name]\AdminApp\[Dimension Name]_Update.xls
    SSIS PACKAGE
Each dimension that is to be updated from the back end will have its own SSIS package for executing a back end update.
    Variables
The package, one for each Dimension, has just four variables to configure
AppSet – the name of the Application Set, such as Finance
DimensionName – the name of the Dimension, such as IntCo
InstallDirectory – the directory in which BPC was installed up to the Webfolders directory, such as  C:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\
User_Server – the fully qualified user that will be executing the package, such as DCC\osoftadmin
These four variables can be set rather simply within the corresponding configuration file (*.dtsConfig), or hard coded within the SSIS file itself.
    Column Mappings
The package manually requires the columns between the Excel table and the internal BPC ‘mbr’ table be mapped to each other.  This is a rather simple click-and-drag, because the column names between the two should match.  Modifications to these mapping are only necessary when the properties are modified.
    SSIS TASK FLOW
The SSIS package performs the following steps when executed:
    •     Backs up the original Excel file with a date stamped copy
    •     Replaces the original Excel file with the updated version
    •     Clears the corresponding internal BPC ‘mbr’ table
    •     Populates the ‘mbr’ table with the values within the updated Excel file
    •     Clears the corresponding internal BPC ‘dim’ table
    •     Performs a BPC ‘full process’, which populates the ‘dim’ table
    Logs
Transaction logs, which specify the success (or failure) of each of the above steps, are recorded and stored at:
    C:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\[Application Name]\AdminApp\Logfile\

  • Getting powershell to automate the adding of email address policy

I have a need to pull information from a file and automate the process of adding Email Address Policies
I am trying to run a script but I'm hitting dead ends
the first part of the script need to launch and login which I can get to happen but I cant get the second part the of script to actually start up after first part has logged in.
here is everything it needs to do from beginning to end
    C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -noexit -command ". 'C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft\\Exchange Server\\V15\\bin\\RemoteExchange.ps1'; Connect-ExchangeServer -auto -ClientApplication:ManagementShell"
New-EmailAddressPolicy -Name east -IncludedRecipients MailboxUsers -EnabledEmailAddressTemplates SMTP:%s%[email protected]
and then wait and do the
    Update-EmailAddressPolicy -Identity
ANY HELP please I've been fighting this for days

What kind of errors are you running into? I would encase your values for -EnabledEmailAddressTemplates in single quotes because the '%' is a modulus (see
help about_Arithmetic_Operators) and could be causing you issues.
New-EmailAddressPolicy -Name east -IncludedRecipients MailboxUsers -EnabledEmailAddressTemplates 'SMTP:%s%[email protected]'
Also, you don't have_to run the exchange scripts at the beginning to load up the exchange management shell. You can just load the PSSnapin via the following line:
    Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010

  • I have iWork and Ilife, do I have to purchase the iOS for pages, numbers, and keynote too

I am post Mobile Me and I so do not get this icloud.  I just upgraded my iphoto and my iwork is the latest version.  Do I need to purchase the ios for pages, keynote and numbers too...

    Yes.
The apps have to be installed on the Mac and iOS devices in order to open and moodify the documents.
Why purchase again? iWork apps for Mac OS X are not the same as iWork apps optimized for iOS devices. Two different operating systems.

  • When I launch Safari 5.1, it goes to the last web page I had open and not to my home page.  How do I fix this?

I have verified my home page setting.  Prior versions of Safari would launch the Top Sites page at start-up, but now it doesn't even do that.

Open Safari Preferences, General tab.  Make your selection for "New windows open with" and "New tabs open with".  You can choose from a drop-down list which includes Top Sites, Home Page, Last page, etc.

  • Page Numbering w/ASP and Dreamweaver CS3

I am new to this so please bear with me if this question has been asked a million times. I have a single search parameter searching for a "Department", the result displays on the next page (The Results page). This works fine. I am using DW CS3 and I am now finding out that when I use it with ASP it only allows the Previous, Next, First, Last, Specific records to be displayed.
I really want it to display the total amount of pages by numbers Example: (1-10, 11-21, etc...). Can someone please help me? I have searched the web and came across this site http://www.dmxzone.com/go?12449. I am not following where to put the code he suggest. Can someone please help me?

Please ignore my first post, it isn't right.
I am new at this, although I did figure out the tutorial it still isn't what I am wanting. I am going to send an example page of want I my page to look like when I said page numbering  (I don't want first, prev, next, or last). I want numbers like the results you will get from this page. http://www.gcfa.org/Department_Resources.aspx Can I do this with ASP?
If so so can someone please show me how? Thanks in advance. Maybe I have the right question this time.

  • If i cut and paste in email, while on firefox, as i try to paste, the rest of page goes into blue and if i go ahead and past, it erases rest of page that goes blue thx

when cutting and pasting in yahoo email, as i push paste, the rest of the page goes into and is replaced by what i paste, instead of bein added to

The ChromEdit Plus extension automatically creates a '''user.js''' ''(and the other 2 "user" files)'' upon installation, and it provides an interface within Firefox for editing those "user" files.
    http://webdesigns.ms11.net/chromeditp.html
It makes it so you don't have to go hunting around for your Profile folder whenever you want to edit those "user" files by allowing you to access those files from within Firefox while it is running.
FYI, this support article might be a little more helpful for doing the user.js file manually than what you cited as having read. <br />

  • Page numbers not showing up in PDF export

I have an InDesign document with page numbers placed on all master pages. The page numbers show up just fine in InDesign, but when I export the document as a PDF the page numbers don't show up at all in the PDF. Any idea why this is happening?

Nevermind. I had the guides turned off and had placed the number text frame outside of the margin. Silly.
