How to automatically decline contact requests?

I had a creepy girl on Skype ask me if I wanted to see her camera and share dirty pics so I said no them blocked her. And that repeted 6 times. How would I set up Skype to where it automatically declines contact requests because I only add people that I actually know.

Hi, Mr_Secret, and welcome to the Community,
Skype currently does not provide such a setting.  Perhaps you would consider supporting this idea on the Windows Idea message board?

  • How to Handle Unwanted Contact Requests

Unfortunately, there is currently no method to sort or filter incoming contact requests.   I think it would be very difficult for Skype to determine if a certain person is a potential scammer or spammer, unless they receive relevant reports from users who receive suspicious contact requests from them.  Below are some suggested steps on how to deal with unwanted, random, unknown, or suspicious contact requests.
    1.       Take note of the username and display name of the user (please see image sample below)
    2.       Open the Contact request then click the Block Button.
    3.       The Block This Person window will also appear, you can click the Report Abuse box if you feel that that contact is indeed a highly potential scammer or spammer.  Click the Block button to confirm your action.
    4.       You can also report them to [email protected]
Then Skype will be notified of the suspicious activities of the reported user/s and will most likely prompt them to check and investigate those users.  Their account might be put under suspension, termination, or prevent them from creating new accounts or using Skype services.
Note:  Setting your account's privacy settings to allow messages and calls from people in your contact list only will only prevent the ability of non-contacts to call you or send you instant messages.  It will not stop unwanted contact requests from random users.

I think the problem results from the level of visibility Skype users present. For these random requests to come in, there must be some way of trawling for Skype IDs, which would allow would-be scammers and spammers to make the requests. My wife gets many of them and I get virtually none, so they obviously target women.
If Skype users could manage their level of visibility to prevent random trawling or browsing, but allow targeted searches, that should reduce the incidence of this problem enormously.
Another way would be to create an option for a "Contact Token" which could be forwarded to people you allow to make contact requests. They would need to supply the correct token (matching your individual "Contact Token") in order for the request to be submitted. ie. in Privacy Settings, add the followng option:
"Only accept and display contact requests from users supplying the following Contact Token: _____"
This may seem overly heavy-handed, but it would suit many people who don't want to be bothered by nuisance contact requests, and if they like spam and scam, they don't have to enable the option!

  • Is it possible (and if so, how) to automatically approve Access Requests

SharePoint 2013 (we are using SP 2013 On-Prem.) provides the ability for users to "request" access to a site, or for Site Members to "share" content with users outside of the current site users.  In both cases, however, the request
for access/sharing is added to the hidden list Access Requests, and a notification sent to the Site Collection Owner/Administrator, who must then "approve" the request before access is actually granted to the outside user.
We have a use case where we would like to have any access requests (specifically those initiated by Member users to share content with non-site users) automatically approved.  We still want the Access Request list to track all the requests, but we want
to somehow set all requests to Approved as soon as they come in, so that the Site Owners/Admins do not become a bottleneck where it takes time for access to be granted.
Is there any way to accomplish this without the need for custom code?
I tried leveraging a SPD-based workflow, but there are not properties on Access Request that seem to represent the Approved/Declined selections available in the Request user interface, so there does not appear to be a way (at least via workflows) to set
    a request  to approved.
Any ideas/thoughts on how to maybe accomplish this?

Don't think there is a way to do this OOB.

  • Unwanted Contact Requests (Ongoing history within ...

Upon reading Primemover's [Power User] ‎25-07-2012 20:39 - edited ‎25-07-2012 20:52 response to "How to Handle Unwanted Contact Requests"
    (reference : http://community.skype.com/t5/Security-Privacy-Trust-and/How-to-Handle-Unwanted-Contact-Requests/m-p...
    I followed his/her instructions.
My Skype version (7.0.80.102) screen appeared differently than that which was displayed within Primemover's link. My screen was missing some key options such as "BLOCK" this person.
My wife suggested I right-click on either the unknown requestor's picture or name to see what options appear.
Sure enough upon right clicking both the requestor's name and picture came a drop down list of options. Looking quite a way down the list of options, I saw the "BLOCK" option.
I clicked "BLOCK this contact" for my South african 'fan'. This (apparently) immediately blocked the contact. Followed immediately with a Skype pop-up appearing complete with a 'tick' box asking if I wanted to "Report Abuse" (which I did).
Immediately the contact disappeared from my list.
I presume the report went through to Skype and will possibly result in Skype doing their privacy protection duties as Primemover suggested.
I certainly hope this is effective in reality. Hopefully my approach works for other Skype users who are also afflicted by ongoing introductions and requests from unknown/unwanted individuals or entities.
I, too, find this process both odd and expect it to be unnecessary. In my opinion this is either an oversight on Skype's programming or a knowingly enabled function within Skype for unknown purposes contrary to what Skype users either expect or choose.
My wife and I both have set our Skype Security and Privacy settings to only accept incoming requests from people we know in our contacts. Yet we both continue to be harassed by unknown entities or people whose intent is contrary to what we have configured our Skype settings to permit.
Having read many of the complaints within the extended history of associated concerns suggest this is more than an anomally within Skype. Clearly Skype is aware of this concern for years; Skype chooses to enable/permit it to continue rather than acutually support the privacy and security choices of it's users. Follow the money trail is likely the rational to enabling this affliction rather than ensuring Skype's users' settings actually function reasonably as intended/expected.

I never ever post on these forums! But this is getting simply ridiculous!
It used to just be General Napoleon-complex or whoever, and that was once or twice a month; I could live with that. Then it got to be random people at least once or twice a week. Then it built to at least one or two a day.
Today it was 5, and one of them was pure porn. ACK!!!! Totally not acceptable!!!
And I am required - note: REQUIRED!!! - to use Skype for work. Just how is one expected to use Skype for work when one is bombarded with useless, senseless requests, some of which are porn?
And what about our children, who also use Skype? I do believe that subjecting minors to porn is against the law. If you knowingly don't fix the problem and a minor is subjected to porn, that is a FELONY.
At this point, if you can't fix the problem, the result is going to be that we all start to use something else. Some of those inexpensive little webcams come with nice PRIVATE chat systems on a CD that you can install anywhere. Perhaps we should migrate to those, guaranteeing we only have people in our networks that we know - because they won't have the CD, and won't have our usernames, and someone won't allow them to find us.
Wake up, smell the coffee, and fix it, before you lose everyone. Or is that the idea?
Or does anyone from Skype or MS even read these?

  • Unknown Contact Request

I recently received a new "Contact Request" from a name unknown to me and which I was not expecting.
I checked the profile which provided no additional relevant information.
Is there any danger, either directly or indirectly (getting on Spam lists, etc.) of accepting such a request? Is this a frequest occurance on Skype?
    Thank you in advance, Frank

  • Overwhelming Contact Requests

I am receiving a minimum of 12 to 20 contact requests per day.  This is driving me insane as I generally leave skyoe on whenever I am online.  Most of these requests are either persons identifying themselves as generals or captains in tbe military/Afghanistan wanting to 'get to know me better' or idiots from Ghana or Nigeria looking for love.  I also get phone calls from total strangers who, if I mistakenly answer without looking wno is calling, are often waving thier **bleep** in front of their camera. My privacy settings do not allow these contacts.  How do I stop this?  Does skype not have enough security or the correct firewalls in place?  EVERYONE I know suffers from this privacy issue....  Furthermore, it is IMPOSSIBLE to contact customer supoort which is why I refuse to buy phone credit or merchandise from skype.  Can someone help with a solution to stop the unwanted contacts/videos or if there a solution to actually send skype an email?  Thanks in advance.

  • Spamming contact requests

I have, all of a sudden, started getting an awful lots of contact requests from people I don't know.  This is a recent phenomenon and it is getting very god **bleep** annoying .  If I wanted to talk to someone I don't know I would have my privacy settings so they could just contact me.
My privacy setting are purposely set as they are, have been set like this for over a year and will remain set as they are.

  • Automate client certificate request and installation

I have ConfigMgr 2012 R2 configured to only listen on HTTPs for all client computers communications and I also have internal Windows 2008 CA server for issuing certificates.
Now, in order to successfully install ConfigMgr client on a computer, I have to manually request/install the Workstation Authentication certificate first.
I’d like to automate the ConfigMgr client installation process but don’t know how to automate the certificate request/installation piece on all computers. How do I configure
my clients to automatically request and install “Workstation Authentication” certificate if they don’t have one already installed?
    Gucci100

Incidentally, are you using a CA installed on Windows Enterprise or Windows standard?
    Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com
You are absolutely right Jason. I completely forgot that when I got certified on 2008 there was a specific question regarding the difference in Std and Ent. Only Ent could do auto-enrollment. It seems, though, that this has changed with 2008 R2. The table
    on this
link states that both versions allow for autoenrollment with an "*" at the bottom stating this feature is new for R2
Jason is on the right path here. I noticed you stated that you have an internal "2008 CA" is this R2?

  • Contact request whcih has no decline option

I have a contact request which doesn't give me the option to decline it, I don't know the person, how do I get rid of it?

I would like to know this answer too. My Skype at hme is on a Windows XP and it doesn't have Decline option but my Skype at work on Ubuntu does. I would rather Decline rather than block a lot of the requests I get.

  • Declining hundreds of contact requests at once

I have received 370 contact requests in a short period of time, all from different people. How can I easily decline all 370 requests?

I have tried this a few times as I wanted to archive some mail to a PDF file.  I select a group on mail message and then select print.  It only shows one of the messages being ready to print.  Because it only showed one file, I presumed that it would only prin the one file.
Based on your response, I went ahead and tried the print to PDF. It created a separate PDF file for each mail item.  I then selected all of the PDF files, opened them with preview and did a second print which comned them all into one file.
Thanks for your comment.  As you say, it does print groups of mail items. It is just not obvious that it is going to do it.

  • Email adress adding automatically to contacts. How can I deactivate this to happen?

Each email that I send got their adress added automatically in 'contact' or 'adress book'. How can I stop this to happen?

    I'm very glad that helped!
It's good you looked in the Manual first. Certainly not everyone does that.
With Apple products, I've found that not everything is completely documented, but sometimes if you try something that seems like it should work, it actually does work.
That's how I personally learned about this feature.
    Enjoy your Apple gear!

    Hey,
ich get per day over 20 contact request. How can I accept them all?
I dont want to click on each single request and accept it.
I want to accept them all with one click.
    Is that possible? Bot?
I hope someone can help me.

Hi and welcome to the Skype Community,
There's no "Accept all contact requests" functionality. Are you sure you don't want to individually review all the contact request you receive? You risk having spammers or other unwanted contacts ending up on your contact list.
If you want to be open for IM exchange you can adjust your privacy settings to allow receiving IM even from users not on your contact list: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA140/how-do-i-manage-my-privacy-settings-in-skype-for-windows-desk...
