How to automize Self-control [Internet blocker] / bypassing password request?

Hey  there,
I hope someone on here may be able to help with this. I figured it might be good to ask about this on a popular board geared towards general non-technical user like myself.
I use  the app SelfControl [http://selfcontrolapp.com]  to help me manage my internet addiction. The app's great. It really helps--when it's running.
I've been trying to set it up so it automatically starts at certain times of the day [i.e. every day 10pm-7am], Using the guide found here [ http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20100801214648362,] I've been able to integrate SelfControl into my iCal, to set it up as a recurring iCal event.
But SelfControl requires my admin password to  actually initiate the the internet block. So right now, I have to manually enter the password every time iI want to run SelfControl--even when it's automatically launched as an event from iCal. This kind of makes the app useless as I can just not enter the password and continue surfing endlessly.
Basically, I need  some help figuring how to bypass the password request/have it inputted automatically. I did try following the instructions found in the above link about using keychain access, etc but none of it seemed to work--SelfControl still prompts me for my password.
I am hoping someone here can help me out; the instructions in the above page are a little too technical for me to fully comprehend (and the forum linked above is now permanently closed)
I'm the only user of my laptop, if that makes a  difference. I am running OS 10.10.1 Yosemite.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Kursty

    Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap on her ID and sign out. Them sign in with your own ID.
    If there are apps on your iPad (and I assume that there must be) that your daughter purchased with her ID - they can only be updated by using her ID.

    The ZCM "beta" forum is the right place to ask this question: ZENworks Community Builds
    But I think this could be done with a USB Connectivity Policy and/or with Communication Hardware Policy...
    Take a look at the ZCM 11 Endpoint Security beta documentation here: Novell Doc: ZENworks 11 Endpoint Security Policies Reference - Creating Security Policies

    What graphics card is installed?
    Have you looked inside to see if the interior is dusty?
    Is the graphics card dusty?
    If equipped, is the fan on the graphics card turning?
    Leopard uses the graphics card harder than Tiger, so weakness in the graphics card is more easily shown.

    Hi Kim,
    You can use the following JavaScript command:
    document.nameField.value = theValue;
    You can use this on submit of the form or in a click event at the field.
    I hope it be useful

    As a stockholder, I would like see the development of iTV with Retina display and integrating Siri control, internet access, and iTunes apps. This new product would be a large screen, thin wall mounted television, much like a oversided iPad.
    Do you think this product is possible?

    In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
    That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
    Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
    Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
    While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

    Folks,
    Hello. I am running Oracle Database 11gR1 with Operaing System Oracle Linux 5. But Enterprise Manager Console cannot display in Browser. I do it in this way:
    [user@localhost bin]$ ./emctl start dbconsole
    The command returns the output:

    The connection to localhost.localdomain: 1158 cannot be established.
    [user@localhost bin]$ ./emctl status dbconsole
    The command returns this message: not running.
    [user@localhost bin]$ wget https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em
    The command returns the output:

    A long time ago when I installed Database Server Oracle 11gR1 into my computer, https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em in Browser comes up this message:
    Website certified by an Unknown Authority. Examine Certificate...
    I select Accept this certificate permanently. Then https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em/console/logon/logon in Browser displays successfully.
    But after shut down Operating System Oracle Linux 5 and reopen the OS, https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em/console/logon/logon in Browser returns a blank screen with nothing, and no more message comes up to accept Certificate.
    My browser Mozilla Firefox, dbconsole, and Database Server 11gR1 are in the same physical machine.I have checked Mozilla Firefox in the following way:
    Edit Menu > Preferences > Advanced > Security > View Certificates > Certificate Manager > Web Sites and Authorities
    In web sites tab, there is only one Certificate Name: Enterprise Manager on localhost.localdomain
    In Authorities tab, there are a few names as indicated in the above output of wget.
    My question is: How to use self-signed certificate and no-check-certificate in Mozilla Firefox for EM console to display ?
    Thanks.

    Neither problem nor solution do involve Oracle DB
    root cause of problem & fix is 100% external, detached, & isolated from Oracle DB.

  • How to use table control in bdc, plz somebody tell me.

    Hi Gurus,
    Ples tell me
    how to use table control in bdc, plz somebody tell me.
    And send Sample CODE also. Thnaks in advance.

    hi,
    Table control / step loop in BDC
    Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen?
    Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
    we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program.
    Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
    1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
    (the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
    2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference
    in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
    Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop.
    Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
    (Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
    Now we have : FixedLine = 9
    LoopLine = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
    Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
    Now we have: FirstLine = 0
    or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
    Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
    (here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)
    global data: FixedLine type i, " number of fixed line on a certain screen
    LoopLine type i, " the number of lines occupied by one steploop item
    FirstLine type i, " possbile value 0 or 1, 0 stand for the first line of new " scrolling screen is empty, otherwise is 1
    Dataline type i, " number of items you will use in BDC, using DESCRIBE to get
    pageno type i, " you need to scroll screen how many times.
    line type i, " number of lines appears on the screen.
    index(2) type N, " the screen index for certain item
    begin type i, " from parameter of loop
    end type i. " to parameter of loop
    *in code sample, the DataTable-linindex stands for the table index number of this line
    form calpage using FixedLine type i (see step 1)
    LoopLine type i (see step 1)
    FirstLine type i (see step 2)
    DataLine type i ( this is the item number you will enter in transaction)
    changing pageno type i (return the number of page, depends on run-time visible line in table control/ Step Loop)
    changing line type i.(visible lines one the screen)
    data: midd type i,
    vline type i, "visible lines
    if DataLine eq 0.
    Message eXXX.
    endif.
    vline = ( sy-srows - FixedLine ) div LoopLine.
    *for table control, you should compare vline with maximum line of
    *table control, then take the small one that is min(vline, maximum)
    *here only illustrate step loop
    if FirstLine eq 0.
    pageno = DataLine div vline.
    if pageno eq 0.
    pageno = pageno + 1.
    endif.
    elseif FirstLine eq 1.
    pageno = ( DataLine - 1 ) div ( vline - 1 ) + 1.
    midd = ( DataLine - 1 ) mod ( vline - 1).
    if midd = 0 and DataLine gt 1.
    pageno = pageno - 1.
    endif.
    endif.
    line = vline.
    endform.
    Step4 write a subroutine to calculate the line index for each item.
    form calindex using Line type i (visible lines on the screen)
    FirstLine type i(see step 2)
    LineIndex type i(item index)
    changing Index type n. (index on the screen)
    if FirstLine = 0.
    index = LineIndex mod Line.
    if index = '00'.
    index = Line.
    endif.
    elseif FirstLine = 1.
    index = LineIndex mod ( Line - 1 ).
    if ( index between 1 and 0 ) and LineIndex gt 1.
    index = index + Line - 1.
    endif.
    if Line = 2.
    index = index + Line - 1.
    endif.
    endif.
    endform.
    Step5 write a subroutine to calculate the loop range.
    form calrange using Line type i ( visible lines on the screen)
    DataLine type i
    FirstLine type i
    loopindex like sy-index
    changing begin type i
    end type i.
    If FirstLine = 0.
    if loopindex = 1.
    begin = 1.
    if DataLine <= Line.
    end = DataLine.
    else.
    end = Line.
    endif.
    elseif loopindex gt 1.
    begin = Line * ( loopindex - 1 ) + 1.
    end = Line * loopindex.
    if end gt DataLine.
    end = DataLine.
    endif.
    endif.
    elseif FirstLine = 1.
    if loopindex = 1.
    begin = 1.
    if DataLine <= Line.
    end = DataLine.
    else.
    end = Line.
    endif.
    elseif loop index gt 1.
    begin = ( Line - 1 ) * ( loopindex - 1 ) + 2.
    end = ( Line - 1 ) * ( loopindex - 1 ) + Line.
    if end gt DataLine.
    end = DataLine.
    endif.
    endif.
    endif.
    endform.
    Step6
    using field sysbol in your BDC, for example: in ME21, but you should calculate each item will correponding to which index in steploop/Table Control
    form creat_bdc.
    field-symbols: , , .
    data: name1(14) value 'EKPO-EMATN(XX)',
    name2(14) value 'EKPO-MENGE(XX)',
    name3(15) value 'RM06E-SELKZ(XX)'.
    assign: name1 to ,
    name2 to ,
    name3 to .
    do pageno times.
    if sy-index gt 1
    *insert scroll page ok_code"
    endif.
    perform calrange using Line DataLine FirstLine sy-index
    changing begin end.
    loop at DataTable from begin to end.
    perform calindex using Line FirstLine DataTable-LineIndex changing Index.
    name1+11(2) = Index.
    name2+11(2) = Index.
    name3+12(2) = Index.
    perform bdcfield using DataTable-matnr.
    perform bdcfield using DataTable-menge.
    perform bdcfield using DataTable-indicator.
    endloop.
    enddo.
    example 1
    BDC table control is an area on the screen in which you can display data in tabular form. You process it using a loop. Table controls are comparable to step loop tables. While a table control consists of a single definition row, step loop blocks may extend over more than one row. Table controls are more flexible than step loops, and are intended to replace them
    When you need to handle a scenario like in sales order,it may contain more than one material,if you have more than one material We have to use table control,it will have number of columns and number of rows.
    Table controls allow you to enter, display, and modify tabular data easily on the screen

  • How do I uninstall Verizon Internet Security Suite!?

    Today, I tried to open Verizon Internet security suite, only to find that it had completely stopped working. When I opened VISS I got a small window that says"this webpage could not be displayed", instead of the list of options I usually get.
    I figured my best option would be to uninstall and reinstall VISS... But that didn't go so well. The usual method of going into the control panel, and removing it through the "Programs and Features" menu wouldn't work, because the window telling me that, "this webpage could not be displayed" kept showing up.
    Next, I tried using Revo uninstaller to remove VISS and all it's components, and the same thing happened. Revo Uninstaller deleted VISS anyway, but this ended up crippling my wireless internet connection. I had to use a system restore point to undo this... And now VISS seems to be stuck on my computer.
    Does anyone know how to completely remove verizon internet security suite from a PC? BTW My OS is Windows 7.

  • How do i get multiple internet screens going on Safari?

    How do I get multiple internet screens going on Safari at the same time?

    Do you mean "New window" (command-n) or "New tab" (command-t)? Are you in "Full Screen Mode"? If so, hit the escape key to exit that mode before making a new window or tab.  Use Expose/Mission Control to manage windows.

  • How can I read the internet speed in a MAC?

    How can I find the INTERNET SPEED in a MAC?

    You typically use a free Internet Speed test. It does an upload and a download from a known site, bypassing certain configuration problems. Just do a search to find a dozen services eager to test with you (in exchange for the Ads on their pages).
    Do not pay for this service, and DO NOT accept any CR@P they suggest you download to "fix" your speed. They cannot tell from outside whether you have problems, and none of the things you can download ever makes anything better.
    If using Wi-Fi, one generally finds that the Wi-Fi part of the connection is the limiting factor.
