Hey guys, im new in this forum and this is my first post haha little bit nervous ~
I got some question that i just want to clarify . Well , I got ipod touch 4th gen 8gb 3 years ago . so heres the problem my
itouch home button is already broken and i dont know the reason , my mother and i are planning to buy itouch 5th gen 32 gb so i just need some help from all of you guys how can i avoid broken home button? because i dont want to mess up my new itouch like i did with my 4th gen.
Any tips on how to avoid broken home button .

just keep it clean and do not get debris in the space between the button and case. No sticky finger or liquids either.

You actually cannot do anything to your ipad when its locked but look at pictures the time and date, you need to restore it, and if it dosent let you restore, good luck chuck Heres how to restore it: Okay, i only know the itunes way soz, lol. Try to connect your ipad to itunes, if it does let you then you should be able to select the device you have in the corner somewhere, once you do that you should see a screen that looks sort of like your ipads setting, you should have a button that says "Restore" click that and your ipad should be restored. If that dosent work you should try going to your regular office depot or something. Good Luck!

If you keep your scripts on linux, there will be no ^M's.
If you use FTP, set transfer type to ASCII. (ascii command)
If you have scripts that show ^M's, you can get rid of them using vi(m) command:
1,$s/ <CTRL>v <CTRL>m //
(where <CTRL>-v means holding the CTRL button and pressing the "v" button, same for "m")
!! Please mind that, whilst it doesn't give any errors most of the time, it can give very strange and unexpected errors in certain cases.
It did give errors on linux+oracle 9 listener (!!!)

There is a button in the left container.
Click the button, the container at lower right will using ModuleManager load Module, The following container load of the right of the screen has been monitoring the container above the action.
Problem:
When you click the button repeatedly to load the container in the lower right, it will create multiple instances, and can not be freed immediately. When the above container do an action or event, there are multiple instances of monitoring exist.
The background will be repeat the action or event many times.

How to avoid safety warning when opening a pdf from an link in another pdf?

I make pdf in Acrobat with links to other pdf files av have made. When i try to click a link to open the pdf, i get the safety question if trust it or if i will block it. How to avoid that question all the time?

Edit -> Preferences-> Security (Enhanced), Click on "Add File", and browse to your file.
Click on "OK" button and check.

I have a simple question about how to avoid using Build Array function inside the loop. Now I want to remove the Build Array funtion inside the loop to improve the performance (To get better memory management). Any idea how to do that?

It's been my experience that using the auto-indexing to build an array
on a For loop is just as good as initializing and replacing elements.
The For loop knows before it runs how many iterations it has to run and
can allocate the array ahead of time.
You're better off initializing and replacing when using a While loop
because it does not know how many iterations it will run and can't
pre-allocate the array ahead of time.

i want to add records in cloud.bt while adding the records if we enter existing record details and try to save again na it wont allow to that record.
that time the alert box should show this msg "This record is already existing record in cloud database.
ex: one company name called mobile. i am adding a employee name called raja now i save this record,its data saved in     cloud DTO
again try to add same employee name raja under the same compny means it should through error.

Hi,
I have a master detail form in my application. There are 2 tables that are used Table A and Table B. Table A contains Ticket number and Table B refers to Table A through a foriegn key and Table B have columns like Date,Name, Age, ticket_id (that refers to the ticket_number of the Table A).
This is how the application works:
In a page there is a field for Ticket Number, once the user enters the Ticket Number and click Add Details, a tabular Form with 5 empty field appears... (Done through Page Process->Data Manipilation->Add Rows)
This form contains fields Date, Name and Age. Once the user fills in all the details and click Submit button, the page is submitted. Whatever values that was entered is saved in Table B. Page Sucess message appears. This works fine.
But once the Ticket Number is entered and Add Details is clicked, and without entering the values in the Tabular Form, if Submit button is clicked, there is no error showing up neither I see Page success message. But this should not be allowed. There should be some error showing up...
Tabular Form Validations works only when user enters some values in the Tabular Form and click Submit. For the above scenario, where the form is untouched the validation doesnt work.
How can I get this done? Any ideas?

The correct way, especially for versions prior to APEX 4.0 is to use JavaScript, but for that, you need to know and understand how APEX generates your tabular form, HTML wise.
To be very brief, APEX attached a unique ID to every updatable cell in the tabular form, using a certain pattern – each updatable column is getting a unique name (e.g. ‘f01’,’f02’ etc.) and the ID of a cell is a combination of this name with the serial row number the cell is on. For example, a cell on the third row in an updatable column called ‘f04’ will be given an ID of f04_0003. (More detailed explanation, with an example, can be found in my book).
What you should do is to check these cells according to your validation policy (e.g. is all five row must be filled, is all the columns in a specific row must be filled, etc.).

How to avoid clear record when tab pages changes

Hi All
I am using oracle forms 10g and db 10g.
I have created a form with four tab pages. Namely "EXPENSE" , "AMOUNT_DETAILS", "SUPPLIER" , "ACCOUNT".
When i enter a data in page 1 ie Expense and move to next page page2 "AMOUNT_DETAILS", and enters data in page3 "SUPPLIER" and when i come back to page1 "EXPENSE" and also Page2 "AMOUNT" the data get cleared in Tab pages. There is no data again i need to enter the data manually.
Can any one suggest me how to avoid this clear data.

I have checked it , i was working with oracle apps.Now i have entered all the datas in the four tab and press save button in the screen at that time also the data get cleared.Can you please tell is there any work around for this.

How to avoid server round trip?

Hi,
I am customizing UI for emergency contacts(ESS -> personnel info).
When a value is corrected (changed after an error from server) in a text field and clicks review button nothing happens.
It seems like I have to make a server round trip for the text value to be updated and be recognized (if I select a value in the other drop-down it makes a round trip and then recognizes the value I entered in the text field.)
How to avoid this situation? Is there a work around for this?

Web Dynpro framework carries out round trip for some UI elements(liek table row selection). As per my knowledge this cannot be controlled or mdofied.

bro, when u execute the query to fetch records it tries to validate the form and pops an alert message. if u want to avoid it do this
change : execute_query;
to: execute_query(no_validate);
now it wont ask for validation of the previous records present on the form, but make sure such actions are not not a threat to data integrity.

How to avoid the toggle effect in JButton

I am displaying the text in JButton and called the properties as follows:

<jButton>.setContentAreaFilled(false);
<jButton>.setBorderPainted(false);

But, when i click on the text, there is slight jumping effect(slight toggle effect) in the text. Text goes slightly downwards and come back to its original position.
Also, i have set the WindowsLookAndFeel.(which is mandotory for us).
If i remove the WindowsLookAndFeel, it works fine.
How to avoid this toggle effect.
Could anyone can help in this regard?

Your button doesn't look like a button. So does it have to be a button? Why not try using a jLabel with proper event handling?

i'm trying to read several interactive pdf on my ipad, but when i touch the screen it ppeares a top bar with "ok" that if i touch it closes the pdf, an upload button, & the thumbnails of the pages on the righ side of the screen appears too. Does anybody know how to avoid it? Thank's

Are you saying that all pages appear blank when you open the particular PDF document (AINF....pdf) in Adobe Reader for iOS? It may be due to a bug in Adobe Reader for iOS.
You mentioned "links"...There are three different actions that the desktop version of Adobe Reader supports for links.
Go to a page view (within the same document)
Open a web page
Open a file
Adobe Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) support the first two but does not support opening a PDF file or any other types of files.
Additionally, hyperlinks are not visible in Adobe Reader mobile products. (It used to show hyperlinks in light blue highlight. But due to customer complaints, hyperlink highlighting has been disabled.)
Please let us know if you can share your PDF document with us (Adobe). We can take a look at it and diagnose the cause of the problem. Thank you.
