How to avoid effects of setIntercellSpacing() for the tableheaders?

Question

Hi,
I'm using setIntercellSpacing (JTable) or getColumnModel().setColumnMargin to make the content of the cells easier to read and it works fine.
But It has an ugly side effect, so that the cells are shrinked and at least in Win-L&F the space between the headercells is lowered.
This also truncates headernames, so thatt it looks quite strange.
So I need an easy way, to prevent these effects to the tableheader, so that the headercell takes all available space and don't cares about any "ColumnMargin".
Is this possible?
getTableHeader().getColumnModel().setColumnMargin(0);
Has the effect that the first margin is also undone, cause table and tableheaders are sharing their models.
getTableHeader().setColumnModel( new DefaultTableColumnModel() );
Causes that no headers are displayed at all.

Here is a method for you to put in your Table class or TableModel class or even somewhere else but in that case you should send it data from table somehow and rearange it, make sure that you call it only when your table is filled with data

columnModel.getColumn(i).setMinWidth(dataLength+15);
dataLength = 0;
Oh yes, forget about the intercellSpacing!
