How to avoid erase information messagge?

Hi
I'm using a TC as a router and network HD, everything is fine, I can see it mounted on the sidebar.
My problem is that everytime I need to erase a file from the TC I receive an annoying message from the mac:
"Are you sure you want to erase the file ...."
I think it is a problem with network HD about privileges or something like that, but I set privileges both for reading and writing on the TC, cause I never receive this message with my external HD.
Is there a chance to avoid this message?

If you mean the message (in English) "The item 'xxxxx' will be deleted immediately. Ar you sure you want to continue?", that's a routine behavior when you ask Mac OS X to delete a file on a networked drive. In such a case there's no "trash", so there is no chance to change your mind.
According to this tip:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=2009092105385625
if you select a file on a network drive and press command-option-delete, the file will be deleted without the warning.

  • How to avoid security information pop up when using BSP in SRM

Hi. I have created a custom BSP and have flagged it as HTTPS in the properties, and the URL does start HTTPS.
I have then put this BSP in a role in SRM and can access it from the internal ITS after logging into SRM. Obviously the main SRM URL is also HTTPS. The BSP actually does its job fine.
However, when I click on the BSP I get the security information pop up telling me that the page contains both secure and nonsecure items every time.
    How can I avoid this?
I have read the article on the wiki, but it does not apply to my BSP as there are no links at all in my BSP, and everything is HTTPS.
We can not change the IE settings as all our desktops are locked down and configured in the same way from an outsource company.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Dave.

Hi. I'd already seen that, and it is not quite the same as mine. That link is about calling a BSP as a catalog in SRM and switching from HTTPS to HTTP.
I am calling the BSP direct from the SRM main menu and everything of mine is HTTPS, I am not switching.
Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks a lot for your help.
    Regards,
    Dave.

  • How to avoid erase and sync when choosing to manually manage media?

I have bought a new iMac and formatted my old Macbook. Now, I am starting with a new iTunes library. I want to add more songs to my iPhone manually (choosing the new ones and adding them and leaving some out) without erasing and syncing, as that would erase my entire iPhone of all my hard-earned purchases. PLEASE help!

Did you backup all your documents and data first? Normally your user profile contains a Music folder which in turn holds the iTunes folder. All the important details of your library are in there, with the media below in a folder called iTunes Media. If you lose this information and then connect your device to an empty iTunes library it will want to clean out the device and start over. Switching to manual management carries the same penalty, at least as far as the media is concerned.
You should be able to transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any non-store purchased media with the tips in  this post from forum regular Zevoneer, then restore the device from the backup you just made. That should  preserve all your data and switch the assocation of the device to the new machine. I've had positive feedback on this method from other users but I've never had to test it personally as I backup my library.

  • How to avoid erasing data when upgrading my iPad if i did not remember to back up?

When i was in the middle of upgrading my iPad 2 to iOS5, the plug came off during the time when the computer was 'restoring' iPad data. when i re-connected, there is a message saying the old files may be erased. i am concerned i will lose all my files as i am not sure if they have been backed up during the process. what should i do to proceed with the upgrading and be sure the files will remain?

I know this is an old thread. But I have the same problem. All the songs that I have deleted on my iPad, after uploaded to iCloud, doesn't show up when turning iCloud back on. But, all the songs show up on my iPhone!!??
And when I start a new project on my iPad, upload it to iCloud and then exit GarageBand, I can see the project when I launch GarageBand again but then it vanishes after a second. And shows up on my iPhone?!?!
Any thoughts? Obviously the files is till in iCloud. I've reinstalled GarageBand 5 times now. Still  pathetic same issue.

  • How to avoid bandwith information when hinting a file

Hi, I wanted to create an rtsp client using JMF. I created teh file and in order to use it with Darwin when I hinted my .mov file using quicktime pro, Darwin sends "Bandwidth info" parameter (optional field) inside the sdp of teh video. And JMF gets confused when it gets this field and couldn't retrieve the track information from teh sdp. This doens't happen when I use VLC. But there is anotehr problem with VLC. So, now I know the problem relates to this parameter, which I think is created by quicktime pro. So, I want to know if I can create and hint a video file (mov or 3gp) without this information (Bandwidth information). Please help me. I spend the whole week to figureout this thing.
    Thank you.

  • I unfortunately just got my IPhone 4s stolen.I thought I had the find my iPhone enabled but I didn't because I cannot locate the phone when I sign in ICloud. How can I erase all data on the phone so the thief can't access my personal information.

I unfortunately just got my IPhone 4s stolen.I thought I had the find my iPhone enabled but I didn't because I cannot locate the phone when I sign in ICloud.I have a password on the phone but i'm not sure if I turned on the option where the phone resets if you incorrectly put the password more than ten time. I immediately called my phone company (Verizon) and reported the phone stolen. So I know whoever took the phone cannot place calls or use the phone. But can they still access my data on the phone if they manage to unlock the phone?  If so how can I erase all data on the phone so the thief can't access my personal information? is there any other way other than Find my IPhone to wipe off the data on the phone? I really don't want my personal information such as pictures, text messages, notes and social networks profile available to a stranger!!? Help please!!!

        Hello thewrongway,
I'm sorry to hear about your phone!  I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date.  Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off.  If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions.  Thank you.

  • How to avoid Indesign missing plugin information

    Hi,
We are facing one problem in our ID document.
In one of our Indesign CS4 machine (MAC), we have Powermath plugin installed.
And we have created a new Indesign document in that machine. Here the powermath is not used in the document.
When we opened this document in another Indesign CS4 machine, we are asked the missing plugin information even though that plugin is not used in that document?
Can anyone tell me how to avoid missing plugin information while opening the document.
    Thanks,
    Gopal

Export the document to IDML and open that. That should strip out the plug in info.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
    - Apple will do nothing
