How to avoid retrieve duplicate records from SalesLogix
I wanted to know if you could assist me. I am now responsible for reporting our inside sales activities which includes (each month), outbound calls made, opportunities created, opportunities won $, etc. We use SalesLogix as our tool. I have been working with Business Objects exporting this information from SalesLogix and have pretty much created the report I need. The only problem I have is it will pull in duplicate records with the same opportunity ID number because my query is based on u201Ccampaign codesu201D attached to SLX opportunities. When an opportunity is created in SLX, it automatically assigns an opportunity ID (ex: OQF8AA008YQB) which is distinctive. However, when we attach more than one u201Ccampaign codeu201D to this opportunity it pulls in opportunity ID that many more times.
Is there a way to filter or only retrieve one ID record number regardless of how many campaign codes are attached? All the information attached to the opportunity are the same with the exception that the "campaign code" is different which makes it two records since I pull by "campaign code"
My greatest appreciation!
Hi,
If you are having CAMPAIGN CODE in your query and if you are displaying it in your report, then it would definitely display multiple rows for OPPORTUNITY ID for each CAMPAIGN CODE it has.
If you would like to have just one row for OPPORTUNITY ID, then you will need to remove CAMPAIGN CODE from your report.

How can we select duplicate records from a table
Hi
I desire to use a query to select duplicate columns (based on all the columns of the table) ...
I am able to write queries which include column names, but when my table contains more than 50 columns, is it advisable for me to mention all the 50 column names in the query or is there any other query by which duplicate rows can be selected without column names being mentioned ?
Thnx in advance
RegardsBasic rule of relational design says that "thy table shalt have a primary key".
Now assuming that you do not have a primary key constraint and that resulted in duplicates, you should still have a couple of columns that uniquely describes a row in that table.
To select duplicate rows can then be done by joining rows with the primary key (same set of unique columns), where rows have different rowids (physical addresses).
E.g.
select
t1.*,
t2.*
from table t1,
table t2
where t1.col1 = t2.col1
and t1.col2 = t2.col2
and t1.rowid < t2.rowidIf you do not have a couple of columns (primary key) that uniquely identifies a row, then you do not have duplicates in the table - as there cannot be duplicates without having a means of unique identification. -

i have one database table called "sms1" that table is updated every day or on daily basis it has the following fields in it:
SQL> desc sms1;
Name Null? Type
MOBILE NUMBER
RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER VARCHAR2(39 CHAR)
SNO NUMBER
INDATE DATE
From this table the is one column "RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER VARCHAR2(39 CHAR)" . I am splitting it into different columns like :
SQL> desc smssplit;
Name Null? Type
R VARCHAR2(2 CHAR)
C VARCHAR2(2 CHAR)
S VARCHAR2(1 CHAR)
TC VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC2 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA2 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC3 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA3 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC4 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA4 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
WTHER VARCHAR2(10 CHAR)
SNO NUMBER
INSERTDATA VARCHAR2(25 CHAR)
Now I am written a procedure to insert the data from "Sms1" table to smssplit table...
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SPLITSMS
AS
BEGIN
INSERT INTO scott.SMSSPLIT ( R,C,S,TC,NA,TC2,NA2,TC3,NA3,TC4,NA4,WTHER,SNO)
SELECT SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,1,2) R,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,3,2) C,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,5,1) S,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,6,3) TC,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,9,3) NA,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,12,3) TC2,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,15,3) NA2,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,18,3) TC3,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,21,3) NA3,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,24,3) TC4,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,27,3) NA4,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,30,10) WTHER, SNO
FROM scott.SMS1 where SNO=(select MAX (sno) from SMS1);
END;
Now in order to update the second table with data from first table on regular basis I have written a job scheduler and I am using oracle 9.0. version...
DECLARE
X NUMBER;
JobNumber NUMBER;
BEGIN
SYS.DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT
job => X
,what => 'scott.SPLITSMS;'
,next_date => SYSDATE+1/1440
,interval => 'SYSDATE+1/1440 '
,no_parse => FALSE
:JobNumber := to_char(X);
END;
Now this job scheduler is working properly and updating the data for every one minute but it is taking or updating the duplicate values also ..like example:
R C S TC NA TC2 NA2 TC3 NA3 TC4 NA4 WTHER SNO

How to delete the duplicate data from PSA Table
Dear All,
How to delete the duplicate data from PSA Table, I have the purchase cube and I am getting the data from Item data source.
In PSA table, I found the some cancellation records for that particular records quantity would be negative for the same record value would be positive.
Due to this reason the quantity is updated to target but the values would summarized and got the summarized value of all normal and cancellation .
Please let me know the solution how to delete the data while updating to the target.
Thanks
Regards,
SaiHi,
in deleting the records in PSA table difficult and how many you will the delete.
you can achieve the different ways.
1. creating the DSO maintain the some key fields it will overwrite the based on key fields.
2. you can write the ABAP logic deleting the duplicate records at info package level check with the your ABAPer.
3.you can restrict the cancellation records at query level.
Thanks,
Phani. -
How do I retrieve call history from my iPhone 4S? It only seems to log for about a month and I need an earlier date?
If you have backup of your files, you can get your call history back as long as you sync iPhone with iTunes frequently.
OK, the first thing you are required to do is close the function of "prevent iPhone from syncing automatically." in iTunes, avoiding to sync iPhone again.
Now, connect your iPhone to pc and open iTunes.
iTunes> preferences> devices
All the backup data in iTunes will be displayed.
Then,click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up
your iPhone will restart and you can find them back.
This method only can find back the latest history, to get back the old, you should turn to a third party program for help. -
Delete overlapping/duplicate records from cube
Hi All,
Kindly let me know how to delete overlapping requests from a cube. Actually the cube is getting loaded from varuous infosources, but there are records which get duplicated and the are not wanted , then hiow to delete the duplicate records from the cube.
Regards,
dolaI think what arun is perfectly right....
use DSO for consolidation of various requests..from diferenet infosources...
Now load from DSO to cube...and it is very much possible...though will require little work.
Delete duplicate records option is usually used for master data.With transacdtion data i don't think its advisable.

How to avoide multiple duplicate entries in adress book?
How to avoide multiple duplicate entries in adress book? I can add the same contact name and number more than twice and the phone isn't warning me at all!!! I's quite a heck for me.
not possible from inside AB AFAIK. but you can do the following. in finder open the folder /users/username/library/application support/address book/metdata. switch to the list mode and sort by date modified. quicklook the vcards at the top to see which ones they are.

After a Lion clean install, how do I retrieve my data from external hard drive?
Following Apple advice I used Migration Assistant which crashed new system twice which is why I had to clean install Lion in the first place.
Is there a sure way of doing it?
I have only a few programs that I will have to install myself and that should not be a problem.
I just want my data, music and photos back where I can use them.Time machine backups. I went to migration assistant a few hours ago and limited my selection to "users", no need for applications, settings and other files. Stuff started moving over at a fast pace but has now seemed to stall.
I will let it run overnight as there are lots of songs and photos as well as a few movies.
If that does not work, then I will go into TM and try restore. I have restored some things in the past such a mail files and it has worked well.
The Apple fellow at the store told me to go right into TM, he may have had a point. I'll get it eventually. -

How do I retrieve a file from Trash using Time Machine in Mavericks?
Is it even possible to retrieve a file from Trash from a Time Machine backup? Does Time Machine even back up the Trash? I've been told a total restore from a Time Machine backup will put the past Trash back on the Mac, but what if I just want to restore an individual file?
Shortly after emptying my Trash on my Mac (10.9.4) for the first time in weeks, I realized I needed one of the files I'd just erased. Trying to retrieve with Time Machine was not fruitful, however, because I couldn't find the file on any of the past backups using the normal Enter Time Machine interface. However, I know it would have been in the Trash during all of the most recent backups.
So I researched how to find the backups of Trash with Time Machine, but I think all of the solutions I found on various online forums were pre-Mavericks and do not seem to work now. I've basically tried 2 things:
Show Trash in Finder using the Terminal command: open ~/.Trash
It shows the hidden Trash folder in Finder, located in Macintosh HD/Users/User. For easy access, I added the .Trash folder to the Finder Sidebar. But I can't get to it in the backups. The Trash shortcut in the Finder Sidebar is always grayed out in the old backups using the Time Machine app. And it does not show up in ~ when looking through the backups.backupdb folder on my external HD.
I also tried the Terminal command to show all hidden files in Finder: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
But while many hidden files do suddenly appear in Finder, curiously, the User's .Trash folder is not one. This is true for the Finder of the Mac, the backups.backupdb folder on the External HD, and Time Machine app.
Thanks.How do I retrieve a file from my backup in Time Capsule?
It depends on the type of file that you are trying to retreive.
In general.....
Open Time Machine by clicking on the clock icon on the dock
Wait a few minutes for Time Machine to fully load
Use the timeline at the far right of the window to go back in time to a date when the file was still on your Mac
Click that date
Navigate using the Finder interface to locate the file that you want
Click on the file to highlight it
Click Restore at the lower right of the window to be brought back to the present
You have to retrieve other types of files differently. For details, see:

I am using the "fetch all" vi to do this, but it is retrieving one record at a time, (if you examine the block diagram) How can i retrieve all records in a faster more efficient manner?
If this isn't faster than your previous method, then I think you found the wrong example. If you have the Database Connectivity Toolkit installed, then go to the LabVIEW Help menu and select "Find Examples". It defaults to searching for tasks, so open the "Communicating with External Applications" and "Databases" and open the Read All Data. The List Column names just gives the correct header to the resulting table and is a fast operation. That's not what you are supposed to be looking at ... it's the DBTools Select All Data subVI that is the important one. If you open it and look at its diagram, you'll see that it uses a completely different set of ADO methods and properties to retrieve all the data.

Did you backup your device after you took the video but before you deleted it? If so, restore your device with that backup. If not, then there's no way to retrieve that video.
