How to avoid shut down BPELPM Server when creating a user?
Hi,
How to avoid shut down BPELPM Server when creating a JAZN user and after doing changes to user-properties.xml?
Thanks,
Jorge
this configuration is only supported on a midtier - there is a work around for a standalone install, nevertheless I would not recommend this for production ..
if this is NOT a production enviroment - I can try to get you the information .

In my company, we need input customer ref. no when create a new sales order, but I found there was no any validation to avoid input a existed number.
Can somebody show me how to add some check function on this filed?

This can be handled in standard system.
Go to Administration> System Initialization> Document Settings>Per Document (Tab)> Select Sales Order-->Tick Block release (When duplicated customer reference no. occurs).

We use SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS).
We get the error only when we shut down the server. The database was created with the database configuration assistant. Thankscheck the file sqlnet.ora (ORACLE_HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN)where the database is installed for an entry like SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS). If so, disable it.

How can I shut down iPhoto when unresponsive?
I have received a pop up window that "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto" as I attempted to download a photo from Facebook. I attempted to opt to "Quit" this option seeing as I did not plan to available as this update was being performed. I clicked onto the "Quit" button and now iPhoto is frozen, pinwheel reeling, cannot Quit iPhoto, no force quit option available. Afraid to turn off the computer (running Lion OSX) in case my photo library will become corrupted. Help! How do i shut down this app safely????
Thank you, i will try this option. Only thing is i did read another person having this problem and he did shut down his computer and now his photo library in unaccessible!!! Ugh. I do have an external back up hard drive. I sure hope that my photos are on there to reload into iPhoto!!!!
I did try to place my mouse over the iPhoto icon @ the dock and held down the control key with no results in shutting down the application. -
Tuxedo transaction branch in GMTREADY and cannot finishit without shutting down weblogic server
Trying to reproduce a problem in an application we are deployed a servlet in a
weblogic 8.1 sp2 server, doing the folowing:
1. Begin a transaction
2. Call a tuxedo service (tuxedo 6.5) via tuxedo gateway "A"
3. Call another tuxedo service (tuxedo 6.5) via tuxedo gateway "B"
4. Before commit the transaction in the servlet, we shutdown tuxedo gateway "B"
5. After commit transaction branch via gateway "A" remains indefinitely in GMTREADY
state, while transaction branch via gateway "B" gets GMTABRTONLY after timming
out.
After commit(that fail doing rollback), transaction is not reported like inflight
in weblogic server. We cannot finish transaction branch in GMTREADY state. Only
after shutdown weblogic server, and after an undetermined time(sometimes a lot)
transaction branch is rolled back.
While transaccion is not rolled back, all locks in DB remains active.
How we could finnish that branch without shutting down weblogic server, or, if
not, how we could control the time in witch transaction is rolled back?We open a case with BEA eSupport and the servlet problem was a bug. Engineering
got a
temporary patch that seems to solve the problem. The case continues trying to
solve our original problem (the servlet was to reproduce the situation).
Thank you very much.

Hi Jose,
Can you provide a little more information. In particular, what are the
JTA timeout
values configured for your WLS application? Did you set the interoperate
setting
to Yes under the WTC local access point's connection settings? When
you begin
the transaction in the servlet, do you specify a timeout value and if
not, do
you know what your thread's default transaction timeout value is?
If possible, can you post or e-mail your WLS's config.xml and the domain
configuration
files for the two Tuxedo domains (not the UBB files, although those would
be helpful
as well.)
Thanks,
Todd

Can i create mcx for shut down properly mac when battery is less 5 %
Hi hello
Can i create mcx for shut down properly mac when battery is less 5 % ?
Thanks for your replyYou can create a mailing list by using the "Groups" feature of Address Book. Simply select "New Group" from the File menu. Name the group, and drag the contacts you need into the group.
In Mail, open up Preferences (under the Mail menu), and click on "Composing". Then make sure that "When sending to a group, show all member addresses" is unchecked.
The auto reply is a feature that is better done on your mail server, as you Mac can only send an auto reply when it is on, with the Mail application open. If you use dot Mac, you can set up a vacation responder through the web, and you can leave your computer switched off.
If you really want to leave your Mac on when you are on holiday, you can set up a mail rule (Preferences, Rules). -
How can i shut down depreciation for an Asset for few days??
Hi Friends,
How can i shut down depreciation of a particular Asset for few days say 5 days??
I have done the necessary changes in Time dependent tab like checked asset shut down and in AFAMA i changed the shut dawn as YES.
The only problem i am in is "how can i maintain the 5 days like from 10.05.2009 to 14.05.2009
If i go to MORE INTERVALS then only From date is available over there. There is no To date opition.
How can i maintain To Date??
Plz suggest.
Regards,
SumayaHi
Go for shut down approach. But your depreciation key should allow shut down. check your depreciation key configuration
In asset master data
Go to time dependent terms,
Define the appropriate time interval for shutdown
Set the shutdown indicator
The system does not calculate the depreciation for the shut down period,
The useful life of the asset will increase to the extent of shutdown period.
When you remove the shutdown indicator, system automatically resumes the depreciation calculation.

What is a memory alert and how do I shut down background apps?
What is a memory alert and how do I shut down background apps?
It's when the internal memory doesn't have enough space to operate apps or the phone. You should do two things.
1) Double-tap your Home button. You should see a row of apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap on one and hold down until it wiggles. Hit the red x in the upper right of the icon. Do this for all icons. Don't worry - you're not deleting the Apps, you're just shutting them down from multitasking
2) Do a hard reset of your iPhone. Hold down the Home button and Sleep button. Keep both held down until you see an Apple logo.
This should clear the memory.
Good luck! -
My I phone 3gs shuts down suddelly but when I removed sim card it started working without sudden shut downs, again when I insert sim card it started shutting down suddenlly.
I have Satellite A300 and until now everything works OK.
I would like to know what happen when you remove the battery and use notebook with power supply only. Does notebook shuts down again.
If not let OS run and put the battery.
Is the battery recognized properly? Does notebook switch off again?
To be honest I cannot imagine this issue has something with software or background processes. Recovery image you got with your notebook is designed for this certain notebook mode. Recovery image is tested and I dont think preinstalled OS has anything to do with this.
Full diagnosis?
And how to do this? You know very well that diagnosis can be done with diagnostic tools only and such tools have services only. I hope you will find answers but Im 99% sure there is nothing you can do about that. Maybe you should contact service, explain the situation and ask for help. -
Database doesn't shutdown during shutting down the server

Shutting down a server remotely
I wonder if somebody has a solution to shut down multiple servers at once ? I look for a solution that shuts down slave servers when the master server is shut down (either automatically by a UPS software or manually by the admin).
Is there a way to achieve this ?You could do this in theory with a logout hook. I've never done this exactly, but I think it could be done. One problem is that it would probably require the root user to be enabled though (at least for ssh login- which is risky). Then you could send the command ssh root@ServerToShutdown shutdown -h now. SSH would also have to be setup with public key access trust from the main server to your other servers.
So you're not SOL- but it is a risky venture security wise. Maybe someone smarter will think of another way that is more secure?

Now that I downloaded the new iPad update, how do I shut down apps running in the background to preserve battery life?
in iOS 7, double click the Home Button (the round one on the front).
You will see icons for all open apps with a 'screenshot' above each icon. Simply drag any 'screenshot' upwards using 1 finger to close the app.
Most apps don't use much power when inactive but some do including Sat Nav apps -
