How to back up firefox tags
i use xmarks to back up my urls, but the same app allows you to create TAGS. However, I don't see how to back them up?!? Besides xmarks, where else are my Firefox bookmarks backed up to? Ditto Firefox tags.
Even on 64-bit Windows, Firefox is a 32-bit application, so your data will be usable. It is easier if the version is the same on both (e.g., Firefox 3.6 to 3.6, Firefox 5 to 5).

How go back to Firefox 28? Without the status bar I can't survive
I had hebrew calendar in the status bar of Firefox 28 and it was very useful for me.
In Firefox 29 it's impossible to use it.
I will probably go back to FFox 28 if I can't solve in 29.

The 4.0.1 and 5.0 are two separate versions as installing 4.0.1 over 5.0 will just give you the old 4.0.1 as the end result.
The 5.0 is partially as a security update in place of 4.0.2.
The Skype extension was only for to make it so you can dial phone numbers on a web page in the separate Skype program right so if you were not using it then no need for the Skype extension for the separate Skype application to work. -
My school (Highline Community College) as advised me that firefox 7 will not allow people to use the (Angel) online e-mail system. I need to stay in contact with my teachers. They said don't get firefox 7 but I already have it. They said go back to firefox 6 which they even provide a link for but when you upload it it says this is an old system click here to get 7. I already have 7 and know it will not work. How can I get 6 back.
I have the same problem. It was literally snuck in as a simple update and suddenly I couldn't upload any of my assignments. You can get rid of 7 by going to control panel and removing the Mozilla file. then look for the FF 6 upload. I warn you though. It REALLY wants to be 7. Don't allow any updates to happen or you will be in the same position.
I like Firefox and it is truly disappointing that they would force this situation. My nest step is back to IE 8 which wants to be 9. Arghh! -
After opening Firefox, I was always able to in & out of it till I shut down my computer. Now, after opening Firefox, I go to another application then back to Firefox, I have to "Quit" Firefox and reopen. How can eliminate the back & forth of starting & quitting Firefox before I shutdown my computer?
uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. Specifically, how do i uninstall Firefox 4? (I want to go back to 3.6.16 ASAP)
I love change, and I love Firefox. That said, I simply cannot stand Firefox 4. I HATE it. It has robbed me of all kinds of flexibility and customization and until that changes, I have absolutely NO INTENTION of using Firefox 4 on any of my Macs.
Bottom line, I would like to revert back to version 3.6.16 and do not want to lose whatever it was that was being used on my Mac when I was running 3.6.16 a mere half an hour ago. Thank gawd I didn't upgrade to FF 4 on my MacPro running Snow Leopard. I'd be really pissed.
So.... on the computer I am using now which is a Macbook Pro running OS 10.5.8. I would be grateful if someone could instruct me as to how, specifically, to UNINSTALL Firefox 4 (prior to my reinstalling FF 3.6.16?

With Firefox 6, you can't close the tab you are in and remain in the program; opting to close one e-mail means you are forced to exit the (e-mail) program completely and then go back into it...this is ridiculous if you are trying to read all your e-mails...not have this issue. I am unwilling to attempt navigation away from these sites. The pop-ups that occur on the attempt to leave a site or to close the browser are exit traps offering incentive to stay.
Once upon a time, when the internet was less dangerous, I would be willing to close the exit pop-ups. Now, after twice being infected with malware trying to close the pop-ups, I now force close whichever browser I am using.
Recently, I clicked on the red X to close one pop-up, and it installed a trojan that I had to pay to be removed. When I clicked on 'Leave' in another exit pop, it didn't exit and it turned out I was giving permission to run a script file. Now that criminals have learned these exit pop-ups can be used to force a click action, the sites using them have become dangerous.
If I force the browser to close using Task manager, Please tell me how to stop FireFox from sending me directly back to the same site because it mistakenly believes it crashed when it did not. I forced it to close because I was on a site that had taken control of my browser and was not allowing me to leave the site.
No other browser sends me back to the potentially dangerous sites. I prefer Firefox, but the new version must have a setting that allows me to get safely away from a problem site? -

I find that i extremely dislike this firefox 4 beta and want to go back to the way my firefox was before I installed it. If it is something I have to do with my computers hard drive then fine.
You can uninstall Firefox 4 Beta 12 and get Firefox 3.6.14.
However, I do not recommend to switch back to Firefox 3.6 because Firefox 4 will get shipped in March and after 6 months Firefox 3.x will be discontinued. Another solution is to ask how to fix the problems faced by you using Firefox 4. -
I have had Firefox as my default browser. About one week ago, I tried to go on line and found that my browser was now "Bing". I tried to get Firefox back but could not. I would like to change back to Firefox but do not know how.
Go to control panel first, and uninstall browser protect, browser saver, saveshare or similar programs. Scan with anti-malware tools (like adwcleaner). Then go to your mozilla add-ons and uninstall everything coupon related (you might have to google each of your addons one by one).

How to go back to firefox 4 lost java, plugins & acrobat in 5 firefox4 worked
firefox 4 was working just fine. I'm not sure what happened but it updated to 5 and everything quit working - Java, plugins and most annoying Adobe acrobat.

Improvements aren't worth the trouble if i lose the pleasure of using the programDue to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:

You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
