How to back-up Win 7 drivers?

How do i backup all my drivers? Can i burn them on a cd and if so.. how do i do that and where do i find them?
I dont have a cd that has toshiba drivers on it.. so i'm needing to back up..
thanks for your time

I dont know which notebook model do you have but fact is that since long time Toshiba doesnt deliver notebooks with drivers CD.
Generally speaking you must not back-up any drivers. Any time you want you can download all of them from Toshiba download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
What you must do is to create recovery disc that you can use for OS installation. This recovery image contains al necessary drivers, tools and utilities.
Single drivers you need if you want to install own OS version using Microsoft installation disc.
I hope I could help a bit. If you have more questions you are welcome.

  • Satellite L300D - How to install Win 7 drivers?

Hi, As you can see I'm new to all this.
I have a Satellite L300D laptop with Vista Home Premium SP2.
I want to update to Windows 7 Professional.
I am told that I have to do a clean update which will wipe my hard disk first.
After I have installed Windows 7, how to I get all my drivers back installed please?
I have posted here because I din't know where to start.
    Thanks.

    Hi newtoallthis,
Before you start with Windows 7 installation, download all drivers from official Toshiba website and check if all drivers available. I dont know what notebook you have exactly and if you install Windows 7 32bit or 64bit but you can check this yourself:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
If you have found all drivers you can start with Windows 7 installation. After this install all drivers. Usually the installation order is not so important but a friend of installed Winodws 7 on L300 (little bit other model) and used this installation order:
    -Windows 7
    -Chipset driver
    -Display driver
    -Sound driver
    -LAN driver
    -WLAN driver
    -Modem driver
    -Value Added Package
    -Flash Cards Support Utility
Depending on your model the order and amount of drivers is a little bit different. ;)

  • How to Remove Windows 10 upgrade and go back to Win 8.1

(ENVY purchased with Windows 8.1 and MS office 2013.)Yesturday I installed Windows 10 upgrade.  I immediately had issues. I couldn't open apps. I got an error message about license expired. I went to open Excel and MS office didn't exist. After a full day of trying to fix issues I have come to the resolve of "If its not broken don't fix it" I want to revert back to my Windows 8.1.The MS instructions say to go to Start and Settings. I have no Setting option.I made Recovery disk after I received it . Is there a way to do the microsoft procedure that uses the Windows.old or should I do a complete recovery.

So I'm in the same boat. My HP desktop that came insatlled  with WIn 8.1 64-bit and it "upgraded" to WIn10 badly. WIn10 wont activate becasue it says my license code is blocked on the server,  none of my installed apps or data came over and the receovey option will now only recover to WIn10, I have no option to go back to Win 8.1, thouhgh a windows.old dir is there on the C: drive.  I have my Win 8.1 license code from before the "upgrade" attepmt,  but there is no way with what WIn 10 left me with to revert back to Win 8.1. I went to the HP suppprt & downloads page to see if thre was WIn8.1 recovery media available as discussed here : http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07143#AbT2 , but nothing shows up for my HP Pavilion 500-210qe CTO. Looks like both MS and HP got me good.

  • How can I get Win 10 to open to my prefered user account?

How can I get Win 10 to open to my prefered user account?  It insists on going to my Administrative account.

    Hi,
We could click the Back button beside the account Picture, then the screen would list the account available on this PC:
After that, we could choose the account we want to use.
Another way is to enable this policy:
Interactive logon: Do not display last user name
    If this policy is enabled, the full name of the last user to successfully log on is not displayed on the Secure Desktop, nor is the user’s logon tile displayed;
If this policy is disabled, the full name of the last user to log on is displayed, and the user’s logon tile is displayed.
Press Win +X, then open the Run box, type Gpedit.msc,  when opening the Local Group Policy Editor, navigate to the following path:
    Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options
On the right pane, find the above policy and then enable it.
More information about that policy, please see:
Interactive logon: Do not display last user name
    Best regards

  • Typically, How many back and forths with Creative Support before they acknowledge your questi

Typically, how many times does one have to go back and forth with Creative Support before they acknowledge an issue or question?
    This is ridiculous.
I'm on the forth reply now.
All I want to know is if there is a?64-bit ASIO driver for the X-Fi Titanium on 64-bit Vista?
    They will not answer me.
All of my testing indicates that there is not a 64-bit ASIO driver for Vista, but they will not confirm or deny.

dRe: Typically, How many back and forths with Creative Support before they acknowledge your question?U I don't know what Creative would have written if you asked SUpport these days?
I assume, they lied when they wrote this. There are several walkarounds for XFI cards
with beta drivers. In releas drivers they exclude the ASIOx64, but in beta it's included!
Creative has a very awkward marketing strategy. This was with Vista not having EAX on Audigy as
the said it is impossible. The newer X-FI was able to?do it and after a few weeks the Audigy also could-
after paying for it. The same with DolbyDigital Li've... and now with x64 ASIO. They reduce features
in cases the cheaper card had same possibilities as the more expensi've EMUs...
Shame on them. I?baught a creative Card for the 4th time (SB, SB AWE32,Audigy2, and now Titanium).
I'm going to thinking about selling it...

  • MS-6367 USB and Win 2000 drivers

Hi, can someone point me in the right direction here.
I have an NEC Powermate XL4 which has an MS-6367 (MSI) NOVA motherboard. I bought it with Win XP Home and the original NEC CD which contains XP drivers.
I recently installed Windows 2000 Professional and loaded the nforce drivers from the Nvidia website which seems to have installed OK. I'm having problems with a USB2 pci card as the external hard drive attached to it seems to be losing power (although it has an external power source) when transferring large files. It seems to work ok on the inbuilt USB1 ports though.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with USB in general on this PC, as it seems to be using standard Win 2000 USB drivers -I can't seem to locate Win 2000 drivers for this motherboard. I'm a bit confused with the USB information in device manager. I have the following listed:
Standard OpenHCD PCI to USB Host Controller
Standard OpenHCD PCI to USB Host Controller
    USB 2.0 Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
VIA PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller
    VIA USB Universal Host Controller
    VIA USB Universal Host Controller
This is how it looks with 4 inbuilt USB ports and the PCI Card which has 3 external and 1 internal USB2 ports (an Innovision DM8007). Does this look correct?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Thanks,
Sorry, I meant to say is that I could not find any Win 2000 drivers for the motherboard and that the Nvidia drivers were all I could find and install which seem to only relate to the video, sound and onboard network controller.
The USB card does come with drivers, but I was thinking that there maybe something wrong with the way the motherboard is operating and that maybe I'm missing specific Win2k drivers for this particular motherboard.
I'm about to test a newer driver for the PCI card to see if that sorts it out.
    Thanks
    Dan

  • How can I install Win XP on Satellite U300-150 PSU30e

How can i do it ?
There is no option on bios for SATA support or IDE
    please help me

    Hey buddy
You will not find any SATA or IDE settings in the BIOS. The problem is that you have not installed the SATA driver which is necessary to install the XP on this notebook.
The key is Intel Matrix Storage Manger!
The Storage Manager has to be included into the Windows XP OS during the setup procedure using the button F6.
At the other hand you could include the Storage Manger using the free application called nLite.
Search a little bit in this forum. There are enough threads and postings regarding this theme.

  • How to back up your profile in Wxp??

    Hi,
just wanted to know if someone is using a logitech cordless and optical mouse around and a MSI K7D-MASTER???
I bought one last week and put it to work, pretty nice invention I said!!!!!
    it was functioning pretty well, comfortable i´d say, until that moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;(  :O  X(  8o  ?(  X(  X(  ;(  ;(  ;( ,
The moment i decided to install the st*pid software bundle it has!!!!
MOUSEWARE 9.41.1 (windows) for Microsoft Windows:
    XP, Me, 2000, 98, 95, NT 4.0
this machine runs 2 processors (athlons MP)& Wxp PRO.
I installed the software like i always do it ( put it into my cdrw and appeared the install screen) i was prompted to install the mouse software & music match too, i did it.
Then i was prompted to restart my machine....i did it.
then the post, the fasttrak bios, the scsi card bios, everything that my machine runs before starting..........finally the WINDOWS XP PRO screen booting up...........then suddenly a BSOD (blue screen of death), telling me that it was stopping due to new installed software or hardware, blah, blah blah stop at code 0x93c3487…. !!!....................................... ......................... 8o  8o  8o  8o  8o  8o  ?(  ?(  ?(  ?(
    what the hell??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
restarted my system and entered in safe mode..........run uninstall mouseware and everything i installed.
again the post, the fasttrak bios, the scsi card bios......booted up and enter in windows like i normally do.
I wanted to restart my system once and did it, but when it restarted a small st*pid window suddenly appeared telling me i have lost my profile just like this:
"Windows cannot load your profile because it may be corrupted. Contact your administrator. "
“Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off”
“seconds until you are logged into a temporary profile…………30,29,28,27,…..,2,1,0”
    it logged in ……………………all my icons, where were them???????? ;(  ;(  ;(  ;(  ;(  8o  8o  8o
    My programs, my work ?????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!aaaaahhhhhhh!!!! ;(  ;(  ;(  ;(  ;(  ;(  ;(  :O  :O  :O  :O  :O
    I was insane, insane, insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I decided to use system restore…..it functioned. I have everything back
I think Wxp pro, 2 processors & mouseware from Logitech are not good combination!
Logitech: I won’t buy anything from them again, the box the mouse came in has a legend telling you: over 10 million Cordless mice Sold!! (Yeah, that´s right for uni processor machines, maybe)
I ´m still learning things about my dual processor machines: they do not like everything that is designed for uniprocessor machines!!!
A dual processor machine is something fast, more than one processor has to be better in many aspects. But again, not everything is designed for a dual processor machine.
Does anyone know how to back up your profile in  Wxp pro????
Any comments are welcomed!!! )  )

Profiles are stored on your system drive, in the folder called "Documents and Settings".  Open it up and look for the subfolder with your account name.  That's what you want to back up.

  • How to Back Up User Files (Windows 7 64-bit ) in HP laptop?

    He everybody!
    I have a HP laptop
    Product Name: HP Pavilion dv6-6093ex
    Product Number : LM610EA#A2N
I have  read 'How to Back Up User Files (Windows Vista or XP)'
Back up files with the HP Recovery Manager
The HP Recovery Manager is used to back up user files to an external USB storage device.
1-Boot to the recovery partition 1. by pressing F11 .
    2. Click Advanced Options .
    3. Click Backup computer files .
4-Select the type of files you need to back up from the list and then click Next . It will take several
minutes to locate all of the files, no matter where they are on the hard drive.
    5. Select the destination device (external USB hard drive or a USB flash drive/Memory Stick).
    6. Click Next to start the backup.
New files will be backed up. Depending on the number of files located, it could take an hour or more to backup
    the file.
However, When I have done those steps I encountered these:
First: I didn't see any option to save the files in an external hard disk or even another partition other than Windows partition.
Second: I haven't find any option to back up my files in other partition other than Windows partition, I have let Recovery manager proceed to save at any place it prefers. After that, I found that Recovery Manager gave me an error during copying the files :
Recovery Manager failed in finishing backup files, error: FFFFFF14, although the percentage of progress was %67
Also, I have enough free space on Windows partition.

Would it be quite good if anyone could take some time out to reply me?

  • How do i Install Win 7 to an External HD

I have iMac 27" 3ghz Intel core 2 duo and love it! I am also a gamer and despise the fact that gaming studios don't make enough games for Macs. So I've tried using Win XP on my mac via boot-camp by dual booting but was not satisfied and didn't like having windows software directly on my apple machine. I don't want to give up gaming entirely on computers so........
I would like to install Win 7 to my External HD (LACIE Rugged ALL-Terrain 250GB 5400 RPM 2.5" USB 2.0 / IEEE 1394a / 1394b External Hard Drive), but i have heard that Win 7 is a little tricky when trying to install it on a machine with multiple HD's using different Operating Systems. Im not quite sure what all the issues are, but if you know how to properly install Win 7 on to an external HD so i can dual boot from that HD to play windows based games than please help! =)

I've not tried it myself, but I've read that if you use a third-party EFI tool like "rEFIt" and you are willing to make a custom install disc (DVD), it is possible. Just do a little Google searching and you should find the same links I found that talk about doing this.
Another thing I have not tried, but should theoretically work would be to use a "boot from VHD" configuration, where you put the VHD on an external drive. I don't remember where I read about booting Windows 7 from a VHD, but I suspect it was on MSDN.

  • New Macbook Pro, how to back up?

I have recently purchased a 15" MacBook Pro, and I would like to know how to back it up. This morning i went out and bought this: http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/external/freeagent/portable-hard-drive /
I have transfered all of my photos into iPhoto. This is probably my main concern for backing up data. Previously, with my former PC I organized my photos with a folder system I devised. Anyhow, I have not plugged the external drive in yet. I will only be using this drive with my Mac. I plan to keep this hard drive off site, and use it to back up once a month or so. My questions are as follows:
    1. The directions on the Sea Gate drive state that there is software I will need to install. Will I actually need to install that if I plan to use Time Machine?
    2. I never having used Time Machine, is it fairly self explanatory?
    3. Will Time Machine back up my photos out of iPhoto? Will it retain the organization in iPhoto?
    4. When I deem it is time to do a back up, I plug the external drive in, is there anything I will need to do to make the back up begin?
    5. Because I am a fairly paranoid person, after a backup, can I see all of my files in the external drive?
    6. Is there anything else I should know about backup?
    Thank you very much!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
How big of a hard drive do you have in your new MacBook Pro? It looks like it comes with a 500 GB hard drive, and the Seagate you linked is just 320 GB. For Time Machine, it's generally better to have a drive that is at least twice as big as your boot drive to allow plenty of space for all of the backups.
Your new drive might be better to use for a bootable clone, which you can make using Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner. I like Super Duper myself, and would highly recommend it. It will make an exact copy of everything on your hard drive. You can download it and try it for free as long as you like. If you want to unlock some of the more useful features like Smart Update, you can register a copy for $28:
    http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html
A drive used as a bootable clone should be the same size as your boot drive, but since your drive is likely not full yet, you could use the 320 GB drive for this purpose for a while anyway.
It wouldn't hurt to have more than one drive for backup--it gives you an extra measure of safety, as two external drives aren't likely to fail at the same time. It never hurts to have two separate drives and two different means of making the backups. If you are seriously paranoid about your data, I think you will ultimately want both.
Time Machine is really designed to be used as you work, making frequent backups for you so that you will always have an up to date backup. A bootable clone has the advantage that should your hard drive fail, you can boot from the clone and continue to work. The two really complement each other.
I travel quite a lot, and use both methods. But what I leave in the fireproof safe are a set of bootable clones, made just before a trip.
I'd recommend a bootable clone in addition to a Time Machine backup, and you can decide which you want to keep off premise.
    Good luck!
