How to backup Logic v9.1.1 before update to Logic v9.1.2?

Dear fellows,
read that the new update will overwrite the old version.
How to backup Logic v9.1.1 correctly?
Which files I have to backup?
Greetings from Germany
Marcus

Those programs allow you to make a disk image, meaning a bit-for-bit copy of the actual disk. It's not an incremental backup as is what you get with TM. Depending on the options you select, you can even boot from the image if necessary.
Is there a difference between this and what TM offers? Let's just say that I feel more confident in restoring a hard drive from a disk image created by one of those programs (my choice is CCC) than Time Machine. That's my personal preference.

  • How to lock a database Z table before updating it through a report program

    Hi,
How to lock a database Z table before updating it through a report program and also how to unlock it after my updation.
The whole process is done through report program.

    Hi,
Go to SE11, in the option 'Lock object' enter the name of your lock,
begin with 'E', suppose 'EXXXX' And create. In tab 'Tables' fill the
table name where the record you want to lock exist and select the
lock mode. Lock mode can be shared and exclusive. If 'shared',
when you lock the record, other can also read data, but can not
modify. If 'exclusive', when you lock the record, other can neither
read nor modify the record. After save and activate, you will get two
    function module.'ENQUEUE_EXXXX' to lock record,
'DEQUEUE_EXXXX' to release lock on one record.
When use this function module it only lock one record at a time. It
    does not lock the table.

  • How can i back my camera roll before updating my iphone 4 (version 4.3.3) to ios 6 or ios 5.1.1 ?

hi there! i have an iphone 4 (version 4.3.3) and want to update to ios. I connected my phone to my laptop (for the irst time) and want to make sure i backed up my camera roll before proceeding to update. I transferred my apps to itunes but a window popped up later saying that there are a few apps that are not tranferred. Is there a menu on itunes where i can see what exactly is backed up, so as to proceed? I would be grateful if you could use some print screen.
    thank you in advance
    Spy

You need to import all the photos, in your camera roll, BEFORE you even think about updating your phone. The iPhone camera roll is NOT designed for photo storage. It should be used for temporary storage only, and your photos imported, on a regular basis, just like photos from any digital camera. If you don't do this, you risk losing ALL of your photos. If you want photos on your phone, sync them back to your phone.
    Importing photos:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
    Syncing photos:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
Once you've imported these photos, follow the directions here to update your phone:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
While the iPhone camera roll is included in the iPhone backup, if you rely on this, I guarantee you will eventually lose ALL of your photos...guaranteed.

  • EMERGENCY: Need to flashback table, how to find SCN for a time before update happened?

    Hi all,
I've got a new database 11G, I've not used flashback before, but my retention time is a day...I have a time that the developer did a massive update to a table to corrupt it.
How do I find the SCN for that time so I can attempt to flashback that table?
    Thank you,
    cayenne

Thank you..I also found this works:
    SQL> select timestamp_to_scn(to_timestamp('20140103152000','YYYYMMDDHH24MISS')) scn from dual;
           SCN
      98344246
Well that might NOT work all of the time. But that is just what Oracle does when you give it a timestamp to flashback to: it converts the timestamp to an SCN and then restores data based on that SCN.
See Flashback Table in the SQL Language doc
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28286/statements_9012.htm
    TO TIMESTAMP Clause
Specify a timestamp value corresponding to the point in time to which you want to return the table. The expr must evaluate to a valid timestamp in the past. The table will be flashed back to a time within approximately 3 seconds of the specified timestamp.
That 'approximately 3 seconds' accuracy is due to that conversion to SCN - Oracle uses its internal table.
SCN is accurate if you know it but you usually don't.
Read, and heed, these warnings in the advanced app dev guide
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28424/adfns_flashback.htm
    Guidelines for Oracle Flashback Query
If a possible 3-second error (maximum) is important to Oracle Flashback Query in your application, use an SCN instead of a timestamp. See General Guidelines for Oracle Flashback Technology.
General Guidelines for Oracle Flashback Table
To query past data at a precise time, use an SCN. If you use a timestamp, the actual time queried might be up to 3 seconds earlier than the time you specify. Oracle Database uses SCNs internally and maps them to timestamps at a granularity of 3 seconds.
For example, suppose that the SCN values 1000 and 1005 are mapped to the timestamps 8:41 AM and 8:46 AM, respectively. A query for a time between      8:41:00 and 8:45:59 AM is mapped to SCN 1000; an Oracle Flashback Query for 8:46 AM is mapped to SCN 1005.
Due to this time-to-SCN mapping, if you specify a time that is slightly after a DDL operation (such as a table creation) Oracle Database might use an SCN      that is just before the DDL operation, causing error ORA-1466.

  • How to keep old versions of apps before updating

I may want to retain the old version of some of my apps. On my Mac whenever I download updates to software, I always keep the installers for the old versions, just in case. However on iOS, when you download an update, it unceremoniously erases your old version, which has caused me to lose data in some cases!
I noticed that in iTunes, "Transfer Purchases" moves the current .IPA files to your Mac. I've also noticed that when you "Transfer Purchases" again, the new versions replace the old versions, which get moved into the Trash (but not fully deleted yet). I've started keeping folders of old versions of apps. You can then manually put those older versions back into the proper folder and resync them to the iPhone if you liked the old version better
I wish the iOS let you roll back to the old version of the app, in case the new version breaks something (like Time Machine for iOS). I think I'm going to write a letter to Apple

That is correct Dancingjewel.  Migrating/transferring/copying Adobe applications is not supported and often leads to unexpected behavior.  To resolve this you will want to attempt to completely remove the current installations utilizing the CC Cleaner Tool and then reinstall.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available at Other downloads.

  • HT5146 I'm trying to install Logic Pro 9.1.7 update to Logic Pro 9.0.

I haven't used Logic for a while on my studio iMac and need to install the latest update. If I try to open Logic 9.0 it says it won't work with my operating syatem. That makes sense as it won't work with Lion, it was working perfectly before I upgraded to Lion a while back so I know it's installed correctly. If I try to install the update to 9.17 it says it can't find Logic Pro in the Applications folder, and needs Logic 9.0 or higher. It's definitley in the Applications folder and starts to open from the dock so why won't the update 'see' it? Can anybody help please?

This is probably the most given answer on this forum:
there are TWO simple,  rules for updating.
    1. Logic Pro MUST BE in the Applications folder - not in any subfolder within the appilications folder. This seems OK in your case.
    2. Logic Pro MUST be called "Logic Pro". 8 letters and 1 space. Nothing more.

  • How to backup macbook in recovery mode?

My laptop is crashed. I've no backup. I can open it on recovey mode but cannot access to any of my data. I can see disk utility but i donot understand how to backup files from there. Before i format my laptop i need to backup few importnant files. Is there any way to backup files? I've external hard drive but no time capsule.

This is what I woud try.  Swap in a new HDD into your MBP and see if you can install an OS via COMMAND R (or if your MBP came with installation disks, use those).  If successful, attach the original HDD to the MBP via USB and see if you can access your user data.
    Ciao.

  • HT201302 how to backup photo besides camera roll? (iPad 2, 4.3.3)

I've seen many post said plug in your devices, right click and import, Thats only import my photo in camera roll, i've created few albums inside, and how to backup those albums i created?

Updating will not cause you to lose data but things can always go wrong. You should definitely backup before you update. I assume you have music on the device that was not purchased in iTunes and synced with a different iTunes library. You can transfer these songs back to your computer with third party software such as TouchCopy.

  • Received App Error 603, now I can't connect to BlackBerry Desktop to backup or sync contacts/notes before hard reset

    Hi,
For the past several days, my BlackBerry Bold 9650 has been resetting frequently (often going to a white screen reading "App Error 603"), losing access to applications, and generally acting terribly.  I have essentially lost the ability to use it in any meaningful way (the phone features work rarely, e-mail, not at all).  I took it into Sprint and was told that a hard reset would have to be performed, but that I should backup my contacts and notes via BlackBerry Desktop, prior to doing so.  However, thought the Desktop launches when I connect to my MacBook Air, and the status bar says "Connecting," once it stops saying "Connecting," when I click on the device icon in the upper left, it says "(Not connected)," so I cannot backup or sync the data.
Could you please let me know how to backup my contacts and notes before I have the hard reset done, since I desperately need them?
    Thank you very much!

By the way, while the Desktop software says that the Bold 9650 is "(Not Connected)," it does seem to know it's connected to some kind of BlackBerry device.  The status bar stops saying "Connecting..." and, when I phyiscally disconnect the Bold, the status bar then reads, "Device Disconnected."
    Thanks again!

  • How to backup library before an iTunes reinstallation

I run Vista, and I happened to have the problem of my CD/DVD drive disappearing on me. I googled it, figured out how to fix it by deleting a couple registry items and restarting, and it started working again. Only thing is, right after that every time I open iTunes I now get a message saying iTunes can no longer import CD's because something got changed, please reinstall. I kept ignoring it, and now iTunes won't even open up. So my question is, how can I for back up my iTunes library before uninstalling, so I won't have to manually import every song file. I have multiple copies of some songs and I don't want those back in the library after reinstalling. Also, after that how would I go about reimporting my old library?
    Thank you.

External drives (for backing up) are less than $100.
    Backup software will run automatically.
If everything on your computer disappeared right now or you r hard drive died and it would not affect/bother you in the least, you could get by without a backup.
But since you are here asking how to backup some files...
I highly suggest you consider it.
