How to Backup Music with Artwork

I know this has been asked a million times.
I did do a search and tried also looking at Apple's Backup program. It seems iTunes backup and Apple's Backup program rely heavily on backing up to a CD.
I want to backup to an external harddrive and make sure I am backing up the artwork also. I know it should be simple.

The album art files are in the iTunes folder in your
home/music folder or whatever it is called in
Windows. Even if you move the tunes to a bigger
drive the library and album art stays put where it
started. The folder coincidentally enough is called
"album artwork".
I back up the music files from one drive and the
iTunes folder which is on a different (home)drive
onto one external hard drive.
Note this is the mac not Windows area. The folder
there might be called "album art for something Bill
Gates won't be able to match in 1000 years".

I would like to know how to share Music installed in Time Capsule.. I need that this music could be played in Iphone, Ipad, Apple TV in the same WIFI network

It is not possible.. the TC is not a media player.
You must have a computer acting as itunes server.. although there is no such thing. Apple call it home share.

Can't backup music with 7.3

I just downloaded itunes 7.3 and now I can't backup my music I purchased on itunes -- unknown error 261. Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

You will need to implement a queue with a relative timer and each entery will need to be time stamped. Poll the first until time and send working though the queue in that manner.

Where is your backup? It is basic to backup important info/music/pics/etc.
You can transfer itunes purchases: Without syncing - File>Transfer Purchases
At your risk, you can try 3rd party programs for the other music. This is not supported by Apple.

How to share Music with PC machine

Hi all,
I have got a PC at work that ran iTunes and played songs that were shared on my old PC Laptop. I would like to do the same thing with my MBP but I haven't got a clue how to share folders or how to view shared mac folders on an XP machine. Can someone please advise?

i have an ipod touch with lot sof music on already, i just bought a new iphone and have registered it to the same account, however only the applications sync to the iphone and the music doesnt sync.

Whatever is in your iTunes Library can be synced with either or both devices.
Have you gone through all the tabs in iTunes with your iPhone selected under "devices" and checked off the selections you want?

USB HD attached to Time Capsule - how to backup it with Time Machine

Hi.
I have a time capsule, and a small USB HD connected to it.
This drive I use it as a NAS, a file server for all my home network.
It's so convenient.
But I would love its content to be backed-up by Time Machine,
how could I do that ?
I could mount it and back it up to my laptop, which in turn would be backed-up by Time Machine for example (I don't know how to do it).
Any ideas/solutions ?

As long as the USB HDD is formatted in HFS+, Time Machine will recognize it and ask if you want to use it as a back up for TM if you plug the drive into a USB port on your Mac. If asked, you should click NO. Under TM Preferences, you should click Options and see if this drive is EXCLUDED. If so, uncheck it.
If you need to re-format it (and lose all your content), it would need to be plugged into your Mac directly via USB (not through Time Capsule) using Disk Utility.
If you are asking if a HFS+ USB drive can be plugged into TC directly and backed up by TM, I'll be attempting this in the next few days (when I have time to move the data off the HDD onto another drive).

So how do YOU deal with artwork?

I finally installed 7.0.2. Everything is working dandy. Love the new gapless feature (time for upgrading the iPod , the new look and definitely the ability of downloading album art. However, I'm not so sure about this new way of storing art. I understand pros and cons but can't decide whether I should just embrace the new technology or cling to the "old ways". So far I've been manually updating the covers, right-clicking on the cover and copying it, right-click removing it from selected tracks, and pasting the file back on to the artwork window. It doesn't take very long and embeds the graphic into the tracks.
But I kind of feel like a someone stuck in the past...

If you have an iTunes account why not just just click on the advanced tab in iTunes and select "get album artwork". iTunes fetch all the artwork it has for all of your songs in iTunes, and you don't have to worry about search for the artwork yourself.

Transfer Music with other software! Please help

I was reading one of the FAQ from nomadness.net and they said that if you have connection problem with Zen then you could try some other transfer software such as Windows Media Player. Does anyone know how to transfer music with these other software to a Zen Micro player?

I don't find the Windows Media Player or the Creative Players to be very easy to use, at least for me. Am using the Real Player and find it is great to use for my Zen Micro 5GB and Zen Xtra 30GB. You can go to www.real.com and download their free basic player. Go to the burn/transfer page and it will prompt you to add your Zen Micro to the list of devices. The learning curve seems to be very short for this player.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

How to backup apps and music from an iphone 3g using itunes 11

Hi, my godson has been using an iPhone 3G as an iPod for music and gaming apps. I want to give him my iPhone 4 (not a 4S) and I have iTunes 11 (registered with my appleID) on my Win8 laptop. I've done a Backup of the 3G and then restored to the 4, the settings and photos "transferred" with the Restore operation, but the apps and music didn't "transfer." How do I backup (all apps and music and photos,etc.--everything on the 3G--to the iPhone 4 using iTunes 11. I think I could have done it easily with older versions of iTunes (with the "Explorer" bar on the left side of iTunes), but I can't seem to figure out how to do it with iTunes 11.
