Hi,
how can i make an backup from my ipod nano 7.G with itunes 11?
When i go to Itunes/settings/devices i can only see my iphone and ipad.
when i sync my ipod everything works well.

ok so i have posted a question as too wether or not sand might cause harm to an ipod(solved.)
but now i wanna know.. how durable is an ipod nano?
now im not encouraging ppl to do crazy tests on their precious ipod nano but just please tell me what little 'accidents' u have done to ur ipods eg. dropped it whilst jogging,left it in ur pocket when u put your clothes in the wash, or dropped it in the toilet(ewww.) etc. and what the results were.
oh yea and how it compares to the first gen. nano in scratchability if u own both.

Oh all of my ipods ive never prefered smelly leather either. I tried a silicone case adn didnt like how it felt or how it attracted dust easily. If you wnat to show off the color of your ipod then you might be interested in a case liek this

Hi: Can I backup my iPod Nano by simply copying all files (hidden etc.) off of it from its My Computer drive mapping?
I ask because I just went thru the anguish of the dreaded "iPod recovery". If I can make periodic backups of it outside the iTunes software then thats what i want to do.

I find your question a bit perplexing. Unless you erase the music from your computer after syncing, then iTunes is your iPod backup, so to speak. There's no reason to backup the iPod. Of course there are very good reasons to back up your iTunes library - the music files, playlists, etc. Put not the iPod itself.

If you do not know the combination, you can try and connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it. Upon properly ejecting it from iTunes and your PC, you may find that it is now unlocked. If it is, disable the screen lock or change the combination immediately.
Otherwise, your only other option is to connect it to iTunes and restore it to factory settings.

As soon as you pull it out of the box, make sure to synch and register to it to Apple. All of it is pretty automatic, and when you're done, you should have your iTunes library on your Touch, and you can connect/disconnect the iPod without being asked for anything.
