Would be great if anyone could help!Move your iTunes library & other data...contacts, calendars, photos, etc. from your PC to your MacBook Pro. Then, authorize iTunes on your Mac: iTunes>Store>Authorize this Computer. Under iTunes>Preferences>Devices, disable auto-sync. Connect your phone, right-click in the left device pane, select "Backup". When finished, right-click again & select "Restore from Backup". Select the backup you just made. When finished, sync your iTunes content back to your phone. You should be good to go.

How to backup itunes and install it in new computer?
So here is my problem, i started to build new computer and need to somehow to backup itunes to get the same apps, music, contacts and stuff what i have now. Is it somehow possible or do i have to format my iphone when i plug it on my new computer? That would really stupid and it takes several hours to fill up my iphone again.

What did you update with what? Are we talking a computer? A device like an iPhone? You updated iTunes? You updated the operating system?
If you updated the iOS on a device, I believe it warns you it will erase the device and you should make a backup first. Restore from the backup.
iPhoto is an application pretty much separate from iTunes. There is an iPhoto forum if you are having problems with that application. -

That means you have not a backup before accidentally restore your new iPhone 5.
So you should recover your new pictures and info with a third recovery tool.

If you restore via iTunes make sure that autosyncing is turned off. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says prevent iPods...".

When transferring music from iTunes to iPhone after about 3 downloads a message come up saying iTunes cannot get information from phone and I should restore phone to factory settings I do not wont to do this because I am worried I will loose all phone contacts ,pictures,and songs anyone know how I can resolve this
Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for such important data, which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.
Photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
In addition, contacts and photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup. -

I am new to this community even though I have been a Apple user for years, so please forgive me if this question is not in the right section.
Has anyone encountered drastic shorter battery life both on iphone 5 and ipad since updating to iOS 6.1.2? I've always been happy with these two products until the update - now the battery life is considerably shorter which is extremely frustrating.
How can this problem be solved? Is there any way to go back to the previous version?
Thanks for your help.If you update using iTunes the phone is first wiped clean, then the new OS is installed, and finally the backup is restored. After this finishes if you sync your music should be restored. Music is not in the backup, because it is already on your computer and duplicating it would use up a lot of hard disk space.
An OTA update just patches what has changed; it does not disturb content. -

Thanks.If you backed up your iphone to icloud, then there's a chance that doing a restore might bring back your photos. I say "chance" because many users have tried that (assuming they had photos turned in for backups in settings), but ended up not getting back any photos. If that happens, then they are gone.
Remember, you should have been syncing photos all along to a computer for archiving. Don't trust the pictures to an icloud backup. -

I have an I phone 3G and need to update to IOS 4.3 How do I do it? when I go to settings and general there is not field for software update. I understand that is in newer phones. When I try to do it through I tunes it tells me I have the 4.2.1 version and that it is the latest and there are no pdates. Everytime I try to download an app from the app store it tells me it can't do it because I need version 4.3.

How long does it typically take to update new apple products? I'm speaking in terms of software/firmware updates. My new Apple TV and iPad 3 are glitchy, which is extremely frustrating considering I have the last gen of each sitting there working flawlessly.
I appreciate the responses, however my initial post was too vague. I apologize and will explain. The specific issues are the window closes occasionally when loading something large, that has ceased in the last day or two. My battery life is no where near the second gens, is that the extra hardware at work? I thought that had been accounted for? One of the frustrating, albeit humorous occurrences is when I placed the second and third gen within 1 foot of each other, turned off LTE, and streamed a video. From every location the second gen out ran the new model on 3G signal, lol. Not a huge deal since I have wi-fi or LTE pretty much everywhere I am, but disappointing none the less.
The new apple tv is great, except for the same thing everyone is posting about. HD iTunes library streaming taking overly extended load times. I don't expect it will take too long for apple to address that issue. I'm new to apple, last 6 months, but they seem to have excellent support! It is definetly highly rated. -
When i delete photos from photo stream in iphoto .. The pictures are still there on my iphone's photo stream. They are both connected to the same i cloud account.. And i cannot update to ios 5.1 on iphone.. Any help ??

Yes, you have to connect the iPod to that computer and go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck sync photos and the click on synce/apply. In the future do not check sync photos.

Contnue to use the commpn ID/account for Settings>iTunes and App stores.
