How to be Oracle Certified trainer

Hi guys,
I am an oracle certified professional (OCP on 10g)
and I wanted to be an oracle certified trainer, and if possible I want to start a business to be oracle agent for training.
I am in Ethiopia, East Africa. and there already is one agent.
so I would appreciate any guidance on this

If Oracle University believes you have what it takes based on experience, you do not even need your OCA. But you better have very very very good credentials in lieu of the certificate.
If and when you become a trainer, the normal process - for each course you teach - is to
- attend the course as a student (you pay to learn the material)
- attend the course a second time (for no pay) as an observer (to learn the emphasis on material)
- teach the course (for no pay) as a supervised trainer (a qualified trainer will observe and provide feedback)
- then teach the course
There are exceptions.

Requirements to become an Oracle certified Java application

I want to know any information on how to become an Oracle certified Java application for the company I work for.

My suggestion is:
Consider First:
1) The exam 1z0-051 which should demonstrate your SQL skills.
2) The exam 1z0-047 which should earn an SQL Certified Expert Certificate.
Beyond that you will need to become more familiar with PL/SQL and go towards a PL/SQL developer OCA then OCP
I believe the following thread is relevant 1Z0-146
Read the blogs/FAW at the top of the forum, and become familair with the oracle education certification pages.
You may also seek out some the the '2-day' training as well.

How to install Oracle 10g on to Red Hat Linux 5 Server

I'm new to both Linux and Oracle. I've been working on an installion of Oracle 10g on a Red Hat Linux 5 Server for about 2 weeks. I've been doing a lot of reading about installing Oracle on a Linux environment. I finally got to the installation portion and the Oracle Installer displayed a message that I had to have Red Hat 4 or 4 Enterprise to continue.
How can Install Oracle 10g onto a Red Hat 5 Linux Server"? Is there an option that I can use to bypass the OS checking?

Unfortunately there is no way to access metalink without a valid account. You could then just try to skip preinstall requisites with this clause:
./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs
or this method:
Copy the oraparam.ini from the installation source install/oraparam.ini to /tmp directory.
Edit the file /tmp/oraparam.ini so this file reads:

I did a search for these on Metalink but came up empty. Do these exist?

When searching on Metalink, use the Advanced search and enter the Note number 285000.1. The note that is retrieved contains a link to a zip file containing the courses that you can download.

however i couldn't find the setup file
to install.

Oracle Workflow is only available as a component of EBS. It has never been available on, and is not certified for Oracle 11g, nor any version of XE.

The complete installation installation guide is included with the installation software. It is also part of the exhaustively complete documentation set for every oracle product found at tahiti.oracle.com. Go there, select your product and version. When you arrive at the page for your specific product version, somewhere on that page (location varies between versions) you will find a link to the installation guide.
Also please note that there are several versions of Vista, and the Oracle db is not certified for all of them, but only for specific versions.

Absolutely. I guarantee that right this moment there are a couple dozen companies with a job opening looking for someone with Oracle SQL experience.
Are any of those jobs in your area? I don't know. Certainly not all of them.
Do those companies have additional requirements that you don't meet? I don't know. Possibly.
Do you have anything to offer an employer beyond the SQL Expert certification? I don't know. Perhaps.
Getting an Oracle certification (or any IT certification, degree, etc.) will not cause companies to come knocking on your door. The only exceptions to this rule are for some of the rarer and more expensive/difficult to obtain certifications. For example, I would expect that Oracle Certified Masters find themselves fielding a lot of inquiries from headhunters. Mind you, I'm not an OCM, but I receive a fair number if headhunter emails each month anyway because I have 16 years of Oracle experience and multiple certifications. If I end up getting the OCM certification one of these days, it will be difficult to tell which headhunters found me from the OCM and which from one of my other qualifications.
During the portion of your career where you have little experience, you have to take responsibility to seek out companies that might be interested in hiring someone with your qualifications. The certification alone is not going to make you stand out enough to be found by recruiters. There are plenty of online job sites. Use them. I wrote an article on the topic of getting hired once you have an Oracle certification. It's directed more at the Oracle DBA certifications, but much of it applies here:

Oracle Forms 6i (6.0.8) is obsolete and no longer supported. It was also never certified to be installed on Vista or any of the newer OSs. The likelihood that you will experience problems installing on those platforms is quite high and is not recommended. That said, if you really would prefer to use an obsolete product you can still download it for a limited time here:

I do not know how long this URL will remain available as we are slowly cleaning up all of the old references to now unsupported products.
