I have a 3rd generation ipod. It doesn't work and all I want to do is just get rid of it. I already have a new ipod so I don't want/need to trade it in. I would like to know the best way to recycle/throw away my old ipod.

If you go to eBay and sell it, you should get some cash for it, even if its not a lot. Alternatively, you could sell it to an online store like www.ipodmods.com . They buy broken/non functional iPods from all over the world and then pay you for them! They then use the parts from your iPod to refurbish and repair other iPods.

Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. Plus when I have Ibooks open, sometimes I will accidently hit the item and it will immediatly try to download it. The problem with that is that its "Time magazines Best Photos of 2012" etc and it locks up my IPAD cuz of sheer size of the book. So I would like it gone from the history. hi, i have been trying to get rid of my rented movies that keep wanting to download and they are using up all my space on the ipod. because of this i have to restore my ipod every time i try to use it because of the two movies "The Proposal" and "Me, Myself, and Irene" and it is keeping me from watching a newly rented movie "Beowulf". i would like it if the two movies "The Proposal" and "Me,Myself, and Irene" were wiped off of my account so that i mat proceed with watching my other movies. this has been a hassle for me long enough. so please take the first two movies i mentioned off of my downlods list on my itunes account but not "Beowulf". thank you.

How do I get rid of "old" sync 'instances' from my Sync-ed group of FireFox devices?

I have been using Sync to share History, Bookmarks and Tabs for ~a yr on three devices [my main computer (an XP desktop), a rarely used laptop (Windows 7), and an Android tablet]. A couple of months ago I replaced my HARD DRIVE, requiring the creation of a new sync profile. Other issues with firefox caused me to recreate new profiles.
Now when I use sync on my tablet to access currently open tabs, I see 6 different sets of "currently open tabs". one from the tablet, one old one from the laptop and four sets of tabs from my desktop computer. Each of them is a different snapshot in time of some open tabs; only one of them is current. How can I clean this up?
Perhaps the easiest way to to just redo the Sync registration for my main and then all of my additional devices. IS there another way?
Also, is this possibly related to my main computer not "finding" Bookmarks that I have Tagged? This is most annoying; as I had begun to use Tags as a means of avoiding creating a Library employing massive hierarchy of Foldered bookmarks. This worked great for a long time; but now many tagged bookmarks are just never displayed.

Album artwork-how do i get rid of old low res images and get new artwork?

Before apple introduced the new artwork download, I spent ages searching the internet for album sleeves and copied them to itunes, but the quality of the images in some cases was very bad. I am trying to replace this artwork with the downloadable high quality images but I can't work it out. I have tried going to the itunes folder in the music section of the finder and deleting all album artwork and then starting a new album artwork download, but all my old crappy low res pictures turn up again after I have done it. Any clues please? I am sure I am missing something.

Select all the muisic you want to remove artwork from.
Right click - Get info.
iTunes willask if you wan tot edit info for multiple items at once. Click OK.
ONLY tick the box next to Artwork then Apply.
It should delete all artwork in those songs.

How can I get rid of old accounts?

Got a new i-Mac and transferred (via fire wire) all my old stuff from my old iMac (the really old one with the little igloo under the screen). There were two accounts on my old iMac, now they show up on my new one. I'd like to consolidate and just have one. Anyone know how?

System Preferences > Accounts when logged is as an admin.
BTW, it's a little safer to use two accounts if you are at all error-prone. A standard (non-admin) account for daily use, and an admin account for when you need it.

When I try to send cerate an email and enter a contact, old email addresses pop up for the contact that are no longer current. I would like to delete them so only the most current address pops up but I can't find a way to delete them.

There is no facility for this in the Mail app. Over time, they will move to the bottom of the list, so they sort of go away on their own, but there isn't a delete option.
