How to block certain websites, stopping from getting in?
well i have students staying in my house and i have recently noticed that my students go into certain Porn sites and i would like to block it so that the student cant even go into those sites or dont even get access to it.
I have this problem too. I was actually thinking of deleting firefox and going back to internet explorer. I think thats what i will do if I can't get an answer.

Apple Mac OS X (10.3.9)I use the free "privoxy" program as a proxy...it sits between my browser and the internet and can be configured to block various URLs. OTOH, it's easy to circumvent: a user could tell the browser to connect directly instead of via proxy or use a different browser. A stricter filter would be to use the built-in "ipfw" firewall (for which one can use the shareware BrickHouse as a GUI) to disallow contacting certain servers...this occurs at a more fundamental level of the network connection and can only be changed by an admin user, so the user or browser configs can't avoid it.

Is there a way to block certain websites from my computer?
A website keeps saying "This website is a threat to your computer" or something like that when I go to certain websites. I scanned my computer with McAfee and it said that the website posting that was a hazard to my computer. I can't find any antivirus software (for free) to download to my computer that works (my computer says there's an error when downloading) and when I looked at the page again it had something that said "..I.. " in it and the I was lowercase so i figured that an official page would at least have all that kind of stuff capitalized.
I just want to know how to block this website (or get a link to an antivirus download, for free, that actually works).

Just a matter of locating the HOSTS file and learning a little bit about how to add a domain or IP address you want to block to that file. -
Mail version 4.6 on an imac 10.6.8, I have an email that keeps resending itself!! I cannot stop it, my friend had to block me to keep from getting this 10 times a day... any ideas?

I have spent hours w my internet provider trying to identify why certain websites, which were always accessible, all of a sudden can not be accessed wirelessly. After much ado, I connected the modem directly to my laptop and low and behold the websites in question pops up w no problem. Since I am lame when it comes to this stuff, can someone explain to me in plain talk how I can access these websites without having to be tethered to my modem? Is the modem too old, why is it only blocking certain websites? The websites in question are academic and I checked w the institution and all is well at their end. thanks
Well try upgrading the firmware of the router & keep on holding tightly
the reset button in such a way that power light is blinking on the
router & then do a complete network power cycle i.e., unplug the power
cables from the modem & from the router & then plug in the power cable
to the modem first once all the lights are solid green you could plug

When MobileMe goes down the drain, you will need to move your website to standard hosting. Depending on your site size, I recommend A Small Orange, as the Tiny hosting plan they have is big enough for most iWeb sites and much cheaper then shelling out $6 a month for most of the other big names, and if you check out their forum, several of the members have coupon codes in thier signatures. Also, their customer service is great and very fast in getting back to you.
To upload, I publish the iWeb site to a folder, then using Cyberduck upload it to the host. Cyberduck beats iWeb's FTP uploader because Cyberduck only replaces updated pages, instead of uploading the entire site.

If you get caught with a bounce that does not stop, Command . (period) should do the trick.

We have implemented ECC 6 recently & I have a doubt about restricting certain Storage Locations
in CO06.
I have 2 storage locations for a plant and would like to restrict it in CO06 one of the storage locations.
Is there any other way by which I can RESTRICT certain storage locations from getting displayed.
I am putting in Logistics Execution threat, with an anticipation thall ALL logistics module experts will be able to see this and respond.

System determine issue storage location from the material master, the value of the storage location of the BOM item, or the storage location from the supply area.
Check in BOM component details storage location you have defined.
Check production storage location from the plant segment of the component is taken into account for the use of MRP areas also. When planned order is being created for the superior assembly in a MRP area?
Also check the Material requirements planning (PP-MRP)

There is no way to see where he has been.
Go into Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari and turn it off. Then add the MacGruff browser from the app store. After that go back to Restrictions and turn off the ability to add apps. -

I was thinking using a checkbox (when checkbox is on (Yes) the tax is calculated, Not ticked (Off) the tax is not calculated and the visible field should show 0 or nothing....

Remark that the second tax is calculated on the sum of what the first tax add (first tax is pan-canadian tax (all provinces).
The second tax is never use alone (Quebec only (on top of the Canadian one)

Z580 Problems After Bios Update
So here is the story, I bought my laptop 4gb ram installed and last year i bought 8gb ram to upgrade it. But both rams together made my laptop unstable, it was at 100% cpu usage even when it was idle. So i started using only 8gb. Then i decided to up
