How to block people from contacting you

Someone is sending my niece messages that are not appropriate from another child on her iPod. Her iPod is get up on my account so luckily they also came through to my iPad. I was wondering if there is any way for me to block this email from contacting us.

It is another child.

Hi All,
How to Block user from Sending IM or Hide Presence of there user who is not in his department.

Hi Jp,
Method 1:
You can use the Enhanced Privacy Mode in Lync 2013

Enable Privacy Mode
By default, everyone except Blocked Contacts can see your presence status. To modify the privacy settings, you can do the following:
In the Lync main window, click the Options button.
In the Lync - Options dialog box, click Status, and then do one of the following:
Click I want everyone to be able to see my presence regardless of system settings (override default settings).
Click I want the system administrator to decide - currently everyone can see my presence but this could change in the future.

About Enhanced Privacy Mode
If your organization has enabled Enhanced Privacy Mode in Lync, you can choose whether to limit visibility of your presence information to only those people you’ve added to your Contacts list. You do that by selecting one of the following on the
Options->Status window:
I want everyone to be able to see my presence
I only want people in my Contacts list to see my presence
Method 2:
Using Privacy Relationship, you can block a particular user by adding him to blocked contacts

I don't know who/what Indira Budiman is, but you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If it's an app then does it allow you to make in-app purchases within it ? If it does then you can turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions on your device.

but not benevol

i'm curently runnig win7 pro and win server2008 R2
is there a way to do this ?
any help would be welcomed

Hi glennmckenna
By default, every user in AD automatically gets added to Domain Users.
To control who is allowed to log into workstations, If you’re in a smaller AD environment, you can go to the
Account tab in Active Directory Users and
Computers, click the “Log On To…” button and specify the computers the user is allowed to use.
However, in a larger environment, you could use Group policy object for that purpose, these settings can be found in
group policy management editor-> Computer Configuration > Policies > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.

How to block others from reading email on the Ipad 2?

iPads are not multi user devices, they are either single user devices with privacy by setting the mentioned passcode to protect entry into the device or it is a shared device where everything on the iPad is available to everyone with access to the iPad.

• How do I block people from texting me in "iMessage" / "Messages" on the iPad?

AARRGGGGHHHH!!
People are "texting" me on my iPad and I can't make it stop. HELP!!
I can't believe ... I'm absolutely dumb-founded ... that Apple provides no way to block harassing users. This is NOT related to a wireless/cellular carrier, this is on my wifi-only iPad.

You really have to wonder why the feature of blocking someone is not available. It would be simple to implement. Harrassing text messages, imessages, whatever you want to call them give an abuser a way to contact someone who does not want any contact. This can result in psychological damage, even in some cases suicide. If I am receiving unwanted messages from someone, I don't see why I can't just hit a button that says block. The message then can be diverted to a folder, and if I want to unblock them I should be allowed. There is not one reason I can imagine why I should not have this power. It's ridiculous and unfortunate that in this age of bullying and stalking, we aren't allowed this modicum of control over our privacy. So just when you think you have forgotten someone, or someone you love has finally removed an abusive person from their lives and moved on, all that person has to do is suddenly decide to text you day and night so that you cannot do anything but think about them. Why oh why is there no block messages from this person button as there is in virtually every social networking website? I am flabbergasted. And of course if you have a data plan and someone wants to send you spam, they can actually eat into your data usage against your will. I have to deny my family the ability to send me iMessages by completely disabling it because one nutcase won't leave me alone? Again, where is our control over our privacy? I'm frustrated over this issue, and after seeing what happened to Amanda Todd I don't see why it's not mandatory that this feature be added to every instant messaging platform. "Block User" I'm completely blown away now that I've researched this issue and I hope other people rally behind a change. How hard would it be for a 45kb update to iMessage with the ability to block users? Someday Apple is going to get sued when something terrible happens all because they refused to listen to reason. We need cotrol of our lives, and especially where teenagers are concerned. They need to be able to block unwanted attention from people who found a way into their personal lives. Go to youtube and look up Amanda Todd. It's tragic and Apple is going to do nothing about it. Anybody who is living through this sort of nightmare knows how insane it is that we cannot simply hit "block user". I also am dumbfounded!

• 4s blocking people from receiving my messages

I have had THE worst luck with apple so far. This is my second iPhone in a week! First one (iPhone4) battery life was draining by the minute... current one (iPhone4s) where do I begin? Picture messages won't send, left side of keyboard won't work, center of keyboard wont work, my phone is blocking me from sending and recieving mms messages to 1 contact. It says I added him to my block list, which I have not done.. I wouldnt even know how to go about doing that. Sprint was of no help... anyone in the same boat?

Call Sprint back. Your carrier (or your contact's carrier) is the only one that can block your messages.

• TS2755 i need to know how to block someone from sending me txt/imessges and calling me. they have a iphone too so i have been told the only way to block them is to turn off my imessages and only recieve regular txt messages. is there another way to block

how do u block someone from sending imessages and txt and calling ur phone when they have a iphone also. I have been told the only way is to turn off my imessages and recieve regular text messages.. is there another way?? i have searched for apps and cant find one. neeed help!!!

There are no apps and that is not a feature of iOS.
iMessages are handled by Apple's own system, and there is no way to block a specific sender.
SMS messages and voice calls are handled by your cell service provider, so you need to ask them what blocking (if any) features they offer. If the texts are just spam, you should be able to report them to your carrier and they can block that sender. Other blocking options will vary from carrier to carrier, so call yours and ask them what they can do.

• How to unlink facebook from Contact

I've accidentally linked the wrong Facebook profile to the wrong contact via the Social app. How do I unlink it? As far as I know, there is a chain icon for the Lumia and HTC phones. I'm on Belle but it seems that there is no such option from the latest OS from Nokia. The lack of full social integration (and I mean being able to not only add but remove contacts from social networks to/from my personal contact list) is kind of surprising. Other modern OS out there can do it, I don't see why Belle has to be the odd one out, again.

I just get Nokia Social app updated to v1.5.215 in firmware Symbian Belle 111.030.0609 in my Nokia N8.It looks like after Social app updated, it will auto link facebook profile to contact in N8
when first time click refresh at the Social main menu.
It's able to remove facebook link from contact.
First enable your internet connection first, either WiFi / mobile data.
Open contact & search the particular contract to display it.
Click option>Manage links, this will auto lauch Nokia Social app.
Now you can click option (right bottom button)> Remove profile.
Hope this helps you.

• How to call people from built-in speakers?

Does anyone know how you can call people from Skype™ with no microphone, but only from speakers? My friend wants to know this, he apparently wants to use some soundboard, and if you call from your speakers, the person you are calling can only hear the soundboard but nothing else like background noise or anything.
He's been bugging me to find this out, lol. Anyone know? He has a MacBook Pro 15" OS X Lion.

for others to hear you or for you to record your voice a microphone is required
a speaker can never be used at all it's just a magnetic construction which moves air to produce sound

Thanks.

Good morning
Thanks for using our forum
Hi Louis, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. You can´t block any device by the name, however you can block devices using it mac-address. Go Firewall> Access Control>Mac Filtering in this section you can specify the mac address of the devices and block them.
I hope you find this answer useful,

• How to block keypresses from reaching main form

Hello, I have been writing an application that will capture output from a barcode scanner. The scanner wedges itself in between the keyboard and the OS and sends the barcode as a sequence of key presses. This works fine and I easily wrote myself
an application to capture these key events. However, I wanted to be able to capture the events even when my form wasn't focused, to do this I hooked the keyboard events and overrided WndProc to capture the WM_INPUT messages and then I process them, make
sure they are coming from scanner, and then I remove the message from the queue using PeekMessage. This works fine except I have now realized that my form will have to be hidden (invisible) and that other forms will be on top and have focus. When
the scanner reads in a barcode, I don't want the mainform to receive any of those key events, I want my listener to capture them all and then not send the WM_INPUT message down the list. PeekMessage is supposed to achieve this by sending a WM_REMOVE
flag as the last parameter, but it only removes it from the current thread and my listener runs on its own thread separate from the main form, so this doesn't solve the problem as the main form still gets the key presses.
I was wondering if there was any way to block the WM_INPUT messages from reaching the main form or if there was an easy way to cause my listener form (remember, its invisible with this.visible = false;) to gain focus before the scan and then lose focus after,
this would also solve my problem although a little more ad hoc.
Thank you in advance for the answers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
>I am not using C# events to capture the key events
If you want to achieve your goal by using C++, I recommend you post new thread on Windows Desktop Development forum. I think your question is more suitable to that forum.
