How to block Phone calls and SMS on iphone 3G S

Please let me know if there is a way to block phone calls / SMS from reaching your iphone or is there any application we can download to block them / trash them?

Blocking calls & SMS can only be done at the carrier level, if your carrier offers such service. You will have to contact your carrier.

Unfortunately it's not possible to do this without installing any 3rd party software. I know that Truecaller has this function if you want to use a 3rd party app.

i found that is call blocking not in the call setting menu... how to block calls and sms from xperia z2?
Your service providor can do this for you but a lot of them are not able to do this, i'm on Vodafone & they say they cant....there are 3rd party apps from the Play Store that you can get who will do this but call your providor first

Problen with the format number on Phone Call and SMS
Hello everybody, I live in Peru and I bought and iPhone 3g. I have a problem with the sms. I saved a person in my address book. When I received a phone call I could see the person who calls me, but if this person sent me a SMS I couldn't see his/her name.
In my address book the format number of the person is: 01xxxxxxxxx
But when I received the sms the format number is: +511xxxxxxxxx
If I modify the format I could see the contact in the SMS but when he/she called me I couldn't see the contact on the phone.
Any suggest or idea?

AlfredoHello everybody, the solution of my question are in the new iphone software update. When I updated my iPhone with the firmware 2.1 the phone contacts and the sms contacts are the same.

If you are the account owner, you can log into your My Verizon ccount online and view the usage details for all the lines on the account. If you are only an account member, you should be able to view some details for your line, but I am not sure exactly how much.

Requirement : We have a requirement to reuse the standard Activity subcomponents Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails within a custom work centre. The requirement is to leverage and copy all sub functionalities Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails available within the standard activity work center. This feature is available within Accounts, Opportunities, Leads etc. (Refer screenshot: Std_Act_Screen.jpg)
We are unable to consume/embed the standard Activity (Work center) sub components Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails within the custom work center. This is because of backend consistency check violation UI designer error message displayed. (Refer screenshot:Error while consuming standard activities.jpg)

a. Is there a limitation to consume/embed the standard Activity (Work center) subcomponents Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails within a custom work center? We have noticed that this standard Activity Work center subcomponents Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails has been repeatedly reused within the application in Account, Opportunity, Sales lead, Lead, Sales Quote Objects.
b. Is there an alternative way in which we can call [Through API etc..] the standard Activity Work center subcomponents Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails?
We need your guidance to overcome the error to enable the reuse of the standard Activity Work center sub-components Appointments, Tasks, Phone Calls and Emails within our custom work center or suggest a suitable workaround on how this can be achieved.

Whoa whoa no need to go restoring stuff yet, once you've done that check to verify you have done what Overlook2011 IF that doesn't work for calendars ensure your default account for calendars is set to iCloud and in calendars that it is told to "Show all calendars"

I just upgraded my iPhone4s to iOS7 and now I am unable to make phone calls and send/receive text messaes. Network signal indicator on the upper left side of the display shows hollow circles instead of full circles (but with the network provider name). I checked with my colleagues in the office who use the same network and theirs work just fine on iOS7. Any idea how to fix the problem?
I have also called my service provider and my service remains active in the network. I tried removing and reinserting my SIM but to no avail.

I have an IPHONE 5, but I think if no solution is given by Apple, this one is the last iphone i bougth.My experience with iOS7 crashing seems to be tied to bluetooth and when I activate the keyboard in relationship to having a text box on the screen.
Apple rarely acknowledges an issue, once they fix it, they just quietly bundle it into an update and it goes away.

When I am on a phone call and I double click the button to go to my home screen, then open another application (usually my calendar program, Calengoo), my screen goes blank and I am not able to return to either the app, the phone, or the home screen. If I am speaking to a person, if they hang up then I am back to the phone application. If I'm leaving a message, I am unable to return to the phone screen to end the call, and have to wait until the other phone hangs up. I'm also unable to switch back and forth to look at my calendar if I'm calling someone about scheduling. This has only started happening since the most recent iOs update. I run into situations similar to this about once per day during the work week, as I use my phone is this manner quite often. While not life altering it is quite frustrating. Can anyone here help me figure out a way to avoid this? If it helps, I have noticed a general downgrade in overall performance starting two system updates ago (apps opening more slowly, closing unexpectedly more often, etc.). I have an iPhone 3GS with the latest OS update.

You can check the notification settings for message.
Settings>Notification Center>Messages>Alert Style
It should be on Banners or Alerts.
Settings>Messages> Turn on Imessage and send as SMS and below that "Blocked" to check if you have any numbers block might be blocking the message.
You can also do a hard reset by holding power and home till it restarts and release after seeing the apple logo.
Still doesn't work? Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings -

You will just have to search thru the Play Store to find which App is best suited for your needs......i'm sure when the blocked caller notices that you are ignoring their calls they will get the hint that you've blacklisted them -

There is no way you can block a call from an iPhone. You can talk to your carrier and ask if they can block the number, or you can create a short track of silence and assign that as a ringtone to that number only. Then the phone will still ring but you won't hear it.
