How to block popup windows that opens up on clicking a link?

Hi,
How to block pop-up windows that opens up when a link is clicked? The feature in IE is to set the Blocking level as 'High: Block all pop-ups (Ctrl + Alt to override)' in Pop-up Blocker settings.
Is there a similar feature in Mac?

In the menu bar, Safari > Preferences > Security > Web Content
Some popups will not be blocked by this method, but blockable popups will be.

You will need to be much more specific about what you problem is. That is how TM works. That is how you find things to restore from TM, by using a Finder window so that you can browse through the Mac's hierarchy of folders and files.

How can i stop it that i have to click a link 2 times to open it?

I have to click links twice to open it.
On the first attempt, it doesnt matter if it is the same tab, another tab or new window, it will just try to load the exact URL where the link is.
On the second attempt it will open the page instantly.

You can try to disable them all.
Disable the Java Quick Starter extension: Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions

It looks that you have had installed a Firefox 4 beta version if you have Testpilot installed. If that is the case then you may still be on the beta update channel and you may want to switch to the release channel. The only easy way to do that is to download and install the Firefox release version and install that version over the top of the current Firefox release candidate.
You can check the pref <b>app.update.channel</b> on the about:config page.<br />
If the value of that pref is beta then it is better to download and install the full Firefox 4 release or edit the file \defaults\pref\channel-prefs.js in the Firefox 4 installation folder and change the line to:

How do I turn off the automated Adobe Cloud ID window that opens every time I turn on my computers. I want this annoying window to stop appearing. I do not and will not subscribe to "Adobe Cloud" but the program (all 197 MB) somehow found it's way onto both my computers. Nefarious at the least.

Have you installed any trial of Adobe CC because in all probability the auto prompt to purchase CC appears when the trial run ends.?
The stand alone version of CS6 is not going to be affected if you uninstall the trial CC.

Firefox is blocking popups that I want to see, even after I have unchecked the Block Popup Windows in Options.

There are several sites that provide popups that I want to see. Firefox had not been blocking them previously. Then today it did. I went to Options and listed these sites as exceptions. It still blocked them. I went to options and unchecked Block Popup Windows. It still blocked them. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. It still blocks them. What do I do now?
BTW, this does not occur when I access the same sites with Internet Explorer.

I have the same issue. I am using windows 7 ultimate and have it on a laptop which has no issues. It is only one pop up i want to come up and it blocks it. I am using zone alarm as well, and I turn it off and it makes no difference. IE works and I HATE Microsoft. I wish Mozilla would come up with a fix.

It should be real easy to install the latest ATI driver for the latest ATI mobility video card but that hasn't been the case with those with my computer. There is a real good forum of users of this computer and many have problems installing video card drivers. That is why I wanted to leave well enough alone but some say the latest drivers perform better in games so I gave it a try. My first try was installing Dells recommended latest driver for the video cards in my computer. They installed but my computer refused to use them and it hinted that it didn't like the signature. I tried for a while to get it to work but gave up and went to a site recommended by one of the users in the forum and it downloaded fine and is working.
