How to boot to emergency.target and have a functional USB keyboard?

I appending systemd.unit=emergency.target to my kernel line in GRUB while booting so I could manually do an e2fsck. I was unable to enter my password; my USB keyboard was not activate. Seems like systemd didn't load a module or something. Thoughts?

Open and close iPhoto or GarageBand and relaunch FCP X. Sometimes just relaunching FCP X works also. You can trash FCP X preferences as well if the above doesn't work.

Your problem is that she used your icloud ID to connect to icloud and thus had all your data synced to her device. Contacts are not saved in a backup to icloud, since they are stored independently in the Contacts section of icloud. If someone deletes them, they are gone. If you had them on the PC would they be available in some backup you frequently make of the PC?

If you are copying the formula from my reply, it may be the fancy divide sign (÷) that Numbers 3 shows in formulas.
I constructed those formulas by
clicking in the destination cell (Table 2 Cell B2),
typing =
then clicking in the source cell (Table 1 Cell B2)
and typing /3
press enter
Repeat for Tables 3 and 4
Numbers will change / to ÷ but it should work.
Any error message with the syntax warning?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

RE: group emails, I am trying to omit individual recients and have tried the following options without success.
1) Mail- Composing- checked "Automatically- Bcc"
2) Mail- Composing- unchecked "when sending to a group, show all member addresses"
The result is that all names continue to show up with email addresses for group emails.

Hi there, this problem has probably been resolved now, but I must say that I came across these posts today as I had the same problem, my old e mail kept popping up, but all sorted now! Old Apps are not tied to the old Apple ID, honestly!
Rudegar is so right, all you do is go the SETTINGS/iTunes & App Store, then select `Apple ID` `Sign Out` then you get the chance to enter your new ID, and it worked a treat!
Good luck with anyone else with this problem, as I spent so long on this, really stupid!

I would like to call the class/interface ZCL_UIU_PRN_ACCOUNT2, method Collect_data and have a Smartform executed to produce a PDF document in a Seperate window.
Where I have an issue is in opening another window to display the PDF.
I know the Standard PDF Facsheet does exactly this, but that is triggered via the Web browser and calls a Java script, avoiding and events and round-server trip processing. I would have changed the button values so that when pressed it does process the various events and eventually ends up at EH_ONPREVIEW for the BP_HEAD/Overview. I know just need to open a new window and call the process to create the PDF via Smartform.
Any suggestions would be more than welcome. I have spent so much time on this, and have gained no real ground, so far.

How to Boot a MacBookPro with Ubuntu v10.10 on USB drive??

With Unbuntu v10.10 on my USB jump drive plugged into my MacBook Pro (OS X v10.6.6) & holding down the "alt" key during power-up, only the MacBook internal hard drive is available for selection.
Also tried holding down "command" + "option" + "F" + "0" during power up to access EFI but system boots as normal with no Bios or EFI settings available to change boot device. Plus using Statup Disk under System Preference shows only the MacBook Internal Hard Drive or Network as options, no USB.
Am I doing something wrong or is there another way to boot Ubuntu v10.10 from a USB jump drive on my MacBook Pro?

the easy step is boot linux with usb in a mac, the hard step is this run well configured, and you can run all features of you computer booting from a usb.
You cannot boot a MBR disc from USB, but you can boot an efi disc. You nees install grub-efi, and run it. If your mac is old, is possible that you cannot boot grub-efi from the efi boot particion (the first, that it is fomat in FAT32), and in this case, you need an HFS+ for boot grub-efi.

You can only use the kit to copy photos and videos to the iPad's Photos app, it won't work with other file types. If they are photos and/or videos then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of it with the photos underneath it, and the photo/video filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

Those two do not show suggestions, but also do not have autocomplete=off in case you are remembering form data

I am having trouble running both my speakers and Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset at the same time. Sometimes I like to take off my Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset and listen to my music really loud with my 5.1 system, but now I would have to unplug the Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset from the back.
So when I play WoW I have to plug my Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset back in and go back and forth when I want to listen to music loud and play WoW.
I installed the the drivers with the audio panel.

Boot Camp problem: Windows install can't "see" USB keyboard

I just got my new iMac quad-core i5 and love it.
I tried using Boot Camp to install a copy of Windows XP, just see how it would run.
The installation went fine, until under Windows Setup I have to hit ENTER. Keep in mind, I'm using the old USB keyboard from my G5, which accepted commands up to that point; not the wireless keyboard/mouse that came with the iMac.
Nothing happens, and I have to do a hard reboot to get back out.
Any suggestions? Thanks...
