In the Context i created Node "A" under which i created "B".then it has value attributes xValue,yValue.Then in View i created BG UI element >Series>point-->NumericValue(for xValue) ,NumericaValue(yValue).Now in view init() method i had initialized values to x and y. some output is coming.but i want to know how to set the X-Axis Label,y-Axis Labels.in X-Aix Label i want to mention time in hrs i.e 8.00,8.30AM,9.00AM,9.30AM etc.as part of y-axis labels i want to mention numeric values( .2,.4,.8,2.0 etc). How to rotate labels of a chart on x-axis?

Hi,
I made a table, but because the labels for the values on the x-axis are too long, they are overlapping.
In excel, the text automatically gets slanted, so each label is readable.
How do I do this with numbers?

Yeah, it looks like unfortunately with the stunning quality of the 3-D charts (great lighting, shadows) the engineers neglected something as simple as allowing the category labels to rotate with the graph.
Heck, it would be great even if the user could drag the category labels away from the graph a little bit. Or change their position at all!
Oh well, here's hoping Apple addresses these things with the next release...

CR Enterprise - Custom y-axis labels for line chart

I have data with a discrete status (STATUS-1...STATUS-5) per day, like
Feb 1: STATUS-1
Feb 2: STATUS-2
Feb 3: STATUS-2
Feb 4: STATUS-1
Feb 30: STATUS-4
Feb 31: STATUS-1
This series I'd like to render in a date axis line chart with the daily status ordinals (1-5) on the y-axis.
Now I wonder how I can label the y-axis ticks with the respective STATUS text instead of the ordinal.
Unfortunately, the option "Total (Y) Axis/Axis/AxisLabels/Display Label" is disabled due to the value's numeric nature.
How can I manually overwrite y-axis labels or map them to custom text?

I am new to Xcelsius. I have a column Chart with some data, I want to create alerts for that chart but Enable Alerts option is disabled. My question here is Will this option disabled for Column Chart, if not please tell me how to enable this option.

Hi,
By default Enable Alert option is un ticked check box, if you try to bring new colum chart and see if that enable or not.
If you get enabled Alert option in new one then delete old one and use new one.

How can I make a label for my chart that changes dynamically when I drag selection of data to adjacent column?

I have a custom budget using Numbers '08 and have labeled a chart in previous versions of my budget but when I tried to update it for the new year I can't figure out how to make the label change dynamically as I drag the selected area to the adjacent column. I have checked Numbers Help and Tutorial videos as wellas the manual and have not found anything that comes close to helping but as I said I had it on previous versions but obviously don't remember how I did it and unfortuanately it is not a very intuitive feature. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

The linkage appears to be automatic, but when broken, does not reattach itself.
Redoing the chart isn'r a long process, though, unless you've made extensive format changes to it. Here's my process, which started with a headerless table wiht the Month labels in Row 1 (and a Chart that had an "Untitled" label on the category axis, and ended with the table and chart shown below:
Click on any cell in the table to activate it.
Go Table > Add Header Row.
Select the cells containing the month names. Copy.
Select the cells in the same columns of the Header row. Paste.
Select the table. If the Header for the current month is highlighted and the month label is on the table, Stop here. If not (and it probably will not be), continue.
Delete the existing Chart (or drag it aside to use as a colour and style reference)
Unhide any hidden rows used in the Chart.
Select the cells to be charted.
Click the Series orientation control (¡¡¡) to change it. The control will turn 90° and move from the column highlight to the row highlight.
Your table and chart should now resemble the one in the image above. Edit the style as needed and you're done.

Pages doesn't have any automated label function. If you do a search in the Pages forum you might get answer for workarounds. Thera are more label specific programs to get on the Internet like "Labels & Addresses"

How to display labels for the list populated in F4's ?

I am working on ADOBE interactive form where in a remote F4 help is used.
When i click on F4 help, the list is shown in a pop up window, but the problem here is the labels are missing.
Eg:- The list is displaying COST CENTERS and DESCRIPTIONS, but there is no heading to differentiate between the two.
Do i have to code for displaying the labels as well ?
If yes, could you please provide the steps ...

filled, but as i said earlier, the title and content header are missing.
I am using an entity type "UOM" which has a data element and i checked that the field labels are maintained for it.

How to ignore data for a chart

I want to create a formula that I can reference from a chart. I want the chart to display all contact.building values when the contact.company is "ABC." Otherwise, ignore all other data.
If {Contact.Comp} = "ABC" then {Contact.Building} else ignore

How to dynamically display data labels in area chart

Hello, everyone,
I have an stacked area chart with the data set as follows:
Values: sales
Category Group: date
Series Group: products
Now I have an requirement to display the data labels in the chart for the top 3 products with the highest sales within a certain time period (based on the date parameter). E.g. product1 in the product 1 area, product 2 in the product 2 area, etc.
Is this possible? If so how do I go about doing it?

According to your description, you have a stacked area chart. Values is sales, Category Group is date, and Series Group is product. Now you want to show only top 3 products which has the highest sales data labels for each date.
In SQL SERVER Reporting Service, we can achieve this goal by using expression in Series Label Properties setting. I have tested it on my local environment, you can follow these steps below:
Create a new DataSet(name is “top3”).
Select use a embedded dataset in my report and put
      “ select * from(
      select Product,Sales,[Date],
      ROW_NUMBER() over (partition by [Date] order by Sales desc) as rn
      from #temp)
      where rn<4 ”
    into Query.
Right Click on your chart, select “show Data Labels”.
Right Click on any label that just appeared, select Series Labels Properties .
Click the “fx” next to Label data textbox.
Type the expression below into Set expression for Label :
     “=IIF(InStr(Join(
     lookupset(Fields!Date.Value,Fields!Date.Value,Fields!Product.Value,
     "top3"),","),Fields!Product.Value)>0,Fields!Sales.Value,"")”
     (Ps: the “lookupset” function is only supported in SQL SERVER 2008 R2 or later)
Click “OK”.
Save and preview the chart ,as shown here:
Now your chart will show you the top 3 highest sales product data labels in corresponding area.

You can label simple blocks as well, and exit the blocks with break.

How can I label data points in a scatter chart with text strings?

I need to create a Scatter Chart, with a text label for each data point instead of the xy coordinates. A legend will no longer be necessary.Also, I want to draw "cross-hair" lines on both the x and y axes centered on one particular data point.Any ideas?

Here we are ok if the dimension is displayed in the scatter instead of the measurements but the only options i founds was "Show data" and that option displays the values of the xy.
pls let me know if anybody found any solution for this problem
